By FermentedFungi Go To PostFuck man, what's the context?General election. The facists (Sweden Democrats) will get around 20-25%, making them either the 1st or 2nd largest party. Everything points to them forming a government together with the ”Moderates” and the ”Christian” Democrats.
4 years of turmoil await.
Just an example of how truly incompetent they are... Their proposed budget was off by 30 billion SEK.
You know, not to mention the daily racism and/or neo-Nazism.
Trump is lightweight compared to Jimmie Åkesson.

Hilarious that these dudes been doing it in secret but now in the information age nobody seems to give a fuck. Make the problem and then make the solution. Da fuck is going on? Fanta was created when the german branch of Coca-Cola couldn't get supplies because of the embargo during WW2. They created the new drink using ingredients that were available in Germany. When the war ended Coca-Cola came in and regained control of the german branch and its assets including Fanta.

I read that IBM also had a history of doing business with the Nazis.
That corporation then went on to screw the Japanese with the Cell processor by giving the CPU core to Microsoft for use in their Xbox 360.
I wonder why Sony never had some yakuza handle that situation for them. *Looks at Xbox One launch.* Or maybe they did? Hmm...

It's kind of a cop out but not untrue that you get large enough you're gonna be dealing with real shitheads almost exclusively, especially if you want to expand.
0,2% between the two main blocks in the exit poll for the 🇸🇪 general election. Fucking hell.
Edit: The current government is definitely screwed.

Francis, don't worry, mate. Just play some Metal Gear Solid (the original one on PSOne, or the remake on GameCube if you can find it) while you still have a chance. When shit goes down, you'll know about OSP (on-site procurement) and how to use it. I'm with you in spirit, mate.

nazis...
semantics: IBM did not "screw the Japanese", the Cell's central PPU was based on previous PowerPC architectures with new advancements made by the the IBM-Sony-Toshiba alliance, and all 3 were free to use the design in other products they produced.
It would be interesting to see a poll or some data indicating any boycotting against companies that helped the Nazi's.. Do people not read AP articles, take an aspirin, or not wear Hugo Boss because of it? Obviously i can see people not buying Volkswagen to do this day for obvious reasons, but what about Porshe or Mercedes?

Remember that time when Volkswagen systematically killed new-borns in a manner that the Nazi officials found unpalateable.

By FermentedFungi Go To PostWTF Sweden, I thought you were suppose to be socialist. The good news is that SD "only" received 17,6% of the votes. A massive loss from their perspective. Everyone and their mother expected them to reach at least 20-25+.
As far as mandates go... It's 144 versus 143 in favour of the current government (with early/absentee votes left to be counted) but neither side are anywhere near majority. Coalition is the only option left if you're not to take power through a facist party.
By diehard Go To Postsemantics: IBM did not "screw the Japanese", the Cell's central PPU was based on previous PowerPC architectures with new advancements made by the the IBM-Sony-Toshiba alliance, and all 3 were free to use the design in other products they produced.
Semantics: Those advancements were targeted at maximizing performance within specific thermal constraints, as all advancements are, so that consoles won't just red ring out of nowhere. The whole reason Sony got into that alliance was because of Ken Kutaragi, who wanted a chip that only the PS3 could use, that only the PS3 could reap the benefits of--from said alliance. There were people even within IBM who knew they screwed Sony, and it left an acknowledged aftertaste of bitter guilt in their dirty whore mouths. Everybody knows that shit is called a betrayalton.
You really think Kutaragi was like, "Yeah, sure, IBM, go ahead and fuck me over, give this chip over to Microsoft who contributed nothing to the design."
Serves PPC right that it's basically a dead, legacy architecture now anyway.
Long live ARM, bitch.
Honestly Smoke Dogg, I've been looking for any articles on what you mentioned, and found none yet so far.
Also Sony screwed themselves. They managed to make a chip that only the PS3 could use. It was also, for a long period of a time, a chip nobody knows how to properly use because it's so different than other processors available.

You're right, we should pool together resources to get a collective LexisNexis account instead so we don't have to google shit anymore.

Sony’s game developers were at a huge disadvantage. Since there was nothing like the Cell out there, Sony couldn’t get the game developers started on making games until it had chip prototypes ready. Jim Kahle, on the other hand, suggested that Microsoft use the current PowerPC 970 microprocessors that were being designed for Apple as the prototypes for Microsoft’s game console. That’s why Apple wound up shipping a lot of its best desktop computers to Microsoft, which gave them to the game developers to use as development machines for Xbox 360 games. So Microsoft game developers had a year’s head start on the Sony game developers.
The excerpt you quoted only tells me that Microsoft was able to use Macs as prototypal development kits, since they were only going to be using the PPU and none of the SPUs. In essence, the two articles are not contradicting each other, but from a cursory glance, your link goes further in details.
You are right on your point that Kutaragi just led Sony too hard in the paint for its own good, but it doesn't absolve IBM from letting Microsoft benefit from the fruits of Sony's research labor.

Ohhh come on, man. Obama wasn't perfect and I don't think he needs to be to canvas for Dems. He's going out and doing what he should have not stopped doing during his term. Trying to unite the left. But by all means ... fall into the "Obama is the great divider" the right wing did immediately following his speech.
By rodeoclown Go To PostLike people haven't already forgotten stuff like the drone strikes and the government surveillance.
There's probably significant overlap between those people with short-term memory loss and those who were Obama voters that voted for Trump.
Obama was/is Republican-lite.
Every political leader throughout history is ”evil” in some capacity. Those that aren’t either a) never make it to the top, b) have short-lived tenures or c) get assassinated.

I think Obama was, all in all, a fair president. But the “yasssss, go off king” fawning over his presidency is moronic. Just because we have a vile man in the Oval Office now doesn’t mean that we give power a free pass.
Every American president should be excoriated for their moral failings, and it’s our civic duty to do so
