By blackace Go To PostHow so? The ToS is very forgiving imoAs a rule I don't like censorship of any kind. Red flags go off in my head saying communism/facism 🤷 if what he did was illegal then that is domain of the government not the job of some faceless entity to decide what's ok for peoples consumption.

It's not censorship to say a guy doesn't have a place on your private platform when he incites and propagates hateful conspiracy theories which have in the past lead to actual incidents. Frankly, it's cowardly that they let him have an outlet on their site for as they did. They have more of an obligation to the general public to stop things like pizzagate from spreading than they do protecting lunatics under the guise of free speech.
Frankly, Twitter doesn't do nearly enough to police their platform, so if you're all about "free speech," dawg, they got you covered by continuing to allow white nationalists, Russians infiltrating our elections, hate speech, etc.

Twitter isn't government owned, tho.

By FermentedFungi Go To PostBanning someone from a privately owned site is the most capitalistic thing there is.I agree and there should be some other service to step up to fill this niche. Unfortunately Twitter is currently the the only real service that has that reach. Also these corporations actively work to prevent other startups from gaining a foothold. Crony capitalism is stifling innovation in America.

You're contradicting yourself there my man. Do read on Alex Jones, his lies and how they have affected people. What he does is nefarious, and it's not like he believes in it either. He's doing it for money.
Edit: I found this from BBC
What had Jones said on Twitter?
Mr Jones mostly uses his Twitter account to share content and videos from InfoWars with his 850,000 followers, and promotes conspiracy theories against liberals, Muslims and migrants.
In July, he said that Democrats planned to launch a civil war on 4 July or US Independence Day
Last year, he tweeted that Muslims in England were demanding that the Queen either convert to Islam or leave the country. However, the CNN clip Infowars based its article on dates back to 2009 and features a group led by radical preacher Anjem Choudary, who by 2017 was already serving a five-and-a-half-year sentence for inviting support for the Islamic State group (IS)
He has previously said that "transgenderism" is a CIA "plan to depopulate humanity" and that the "normalisation of mental illness" is an "evil paedophile plot to sexualise and destroy children"
In 2013, he described then-President Barack Obama as the "global head of al-Qaeda", and later accused him of arming IS
Yeah, there's already an alt-right twitter that Jones can go fuck off too. Cant imagine the shit he's out the parents of the Sandy Hook victims through.
