a decent episode once you compare it to the utterly drab premiere for sure

Can somebody refresh me on the Three Eyed Raven /Night King relationship, I really don't wanna go out and Google , and get hit with potential spoilers.

Night king is still up 3-0
First two episodes were about losing your virginity, getting drunk, going on a dragon date ride and being knighted, while the night king was building up his army.

i don't we know much tbh
The three eyed raven had a connection as basically an ally to the last remaining children of the forest...whom created the night king. Brans connection to the past, the children of the forest, and magic abilities are seen as a threat to the night king. I don't know if we know of any other connections besides that, though there might be some secret shit we don't know about. It's likely that Bran is the key to killing him, if not the only way.
If I had to guess, it's because Bran is hacking the game lol he has to target him first surely
Danny should be next on the hit list and whoever is riding the other dragon

TER is a creation if the Children of the Forest.
Night King wants everything related to the Children destroyed, and the TER is also able to remember his creation. I feel like Nighty wants Bran dead because he doesn’t want the memory of his creation to survive.
That was a great episode. Pretty much ended a ton of arcs and set up so many deaths in the next episode.
Bran made it sound like Jamie is done.

This seems redundant .... he wants to end all life and blanket the earth in endless night. Bran and the children are part of that. Bran specifically seems special. Either he needs Bran or Bran represents his greatest threat

But does he?
We just have what Bran says.
Night King spent thousands of years living peacefully and was just content turning the odd child into a white walker.
Then Bran went North, fucked up and allowed Nighty to kill all the children and the TER. Now he is after Bran. The last remaining link to his murder and creation.
Edit: Martin also said this isn’t a story of good vs evil. Things are more complicated than that. I don’t believe Nighty is straight up evil that wants to just wipe out everything.
By friskykillface Go To PostNight king is still up 3-0He also got all those people buried in the crypts. Kind of a stupid move to move your weakest characters in there.

Grey Worm, Jorah, Tormund, and Pod are definitely goners. Edd too.

Grey Worm is 100%. No way he can go to Naath. That place is protected by poisonous butterflies that attack non natives.
I don’t see Tormund dying as he pretty much represnts the wildlings. He is our link to them.
Jorah got the last Valerian Steele Sword. If he dies, its going to be using that sword to some positive effect. Jamie will kill cersi so I don't think he's toast.

My breh your mistake is thinking Martin and D&D have the same motivation
We might need a death pool for ep 3.
Greyworm is either taking the easy L or he takes his people and let's the racists fend for themselves.
Tormund is dying. No questions. He either gets clapped early, fried up by a dragon, or dies for Brienne.
Jamie is 50/50.
Gendry dead af.
Pod dies right when Night King takes off the warm-up jacket.
The crypts are about to be a thriller set.
Bear island girl is super dead.
Sam is dead.
Nightswatch gonna survive to die later.
Flaming Sword guy dies the WORST death to show not even the Lord of light can put him back together.
Hound dies saving Arya.
Jamie dies with a monologue.
Theon hero arc starts now.

Was the inevitable episode two, eps one was the reunion, this was the last time to say goodbye to all that will die in eps3 (4).
And the crypts are definitely the safest place in Winterfell, still wondering as just a known passage (nightking from past knows (even though not being part of the series)) or just a bunch of deadstarkzombies added to his army. Also curious what it will be that Theon knows/can do, that he's the one thrue saviour of Bran.
we do need a eps3/4 deadpool, maybe better who will survive, shorter list.

- Greyworm and his woman are toast.
- Tormund is our only connection to the wildlings. I think he lives.
- Brianne is deader than dead. She got her knighthood and can die honorably.
- Jamie lives. He kills Cersi to fulfill the prophesy. Probably because whatever Cersi does after the next episode will mean humanity dies. So in the same vein as he got his first king slayer title, he'll get queen slayer as well to save millions. I'm 50/50 here though and will explain with Arya below.
- Gendry is dead
- Pod is dead
- I agree with you about the crypts. Curious if anyone makes it out. Kinda feel like most won't including Gilly and Sam's child.
- Ned black wall dude dies.
- Sam is 50/50. He's fulfilled his purpose to some extent (telling jon about his true past), but there may be something left for him to do regarding the citadel so I'm 50/50
- Flame Sword Dude Dead
- Hound lives to fight the mountain
- Theon dies saving Bran completing his redemption arc
- Varys is dead
- Jorah is dead but saves someone with that sword
- Tyrion is the only person connected to Danny that doesn't die. He's going to be wrong about Danny being a just queen as his last big fuck up after trusting Cerci.
- Sansa lives next episode. I think she's the only stark that makes it out of this whole thing in the end. Maybe Jon too.
- Arya lives. She's got some roll to play with Jamie / Cersi and her list. If Jamie dies, Arya takes his face to kill Cerci.
- Onion Knight lives
All that die turn into white walkers. Ned Stark and Leanna Stark are resurrected as white walkers.

DY is consistently the best GoT poster. The Last Jedi was gobshite, here take my sword.
I'm kinda hoping Danny goes NOPE after one of the dragons gets rekt and runs away with the last remaining one. One of the dragons has to die in the next episode surely and he might take the undead dragon with him.
the episode was very Jamie centric that you can't help but feel he's gonna get rekt too. They wrapped up his storylines with everyone, and judging by how they're rushing these stories, it felt like an epilogue of some sort. Arya will kill Cersei with his mug or something later
Interesting theory my coworker just tossed my way.
They didn't show the night king at the end of episode 2. What if the white walker attack is split and the night king takes on Kings Landing while Winterfell is under attack as well? Nobody in kings landing is outfitted with gear / weapons to even take on white walkers and there's a million or so bodies in Kings Landing for the night king to absorb into his army.
After next episode there's only three left to tie up plots. I'm not sure they have enough time to deal with King's landing as a separate issue after a retreat. We still have to have humanity coalesce to come extent into a final battle for man kind. So dealing with Kings landing now helps push the two plot lines together.

But, it's clear that Bran is the Night King's target, I think he's hanging back.

Yeah ... that ice dragon won't fall to any weapons kings landing has. Nor would any of the white walkers. Winterfell is outfitted for the fight. So if you're the night king, do you let Winterfell kinda win to some extent while attacking kings landing? If you do, you get to bolster your ranks again due to it's population. One step back and two steps forward so to speak. After losses at Winterfell, Bran becomes and easier target as well.
Just a thought. Would be wild and would fit
Everyone expects Grey Worm to die but the most fucked up thing would be for him to survive and pretty ass Missandei to die.

I feel like it was a clue that they mentioned Tyrion being smart three times and he was the only one to really talk to the three eyed raven.
Greyworm is toast and Brienne got her ending, she's done. Two shock death without killing an A tier character. Mormont's story is done too, nowhere to go for him and he's old anyway.
People who are safe for now:
Jon, Danny, Arya, Sansa, Tyrion, Jamie
Everybody else is 50/50.
