Could stand to half the bus bandwidth again at that spec to be honest.
Good news it's gonna consume only 15w of power and come with DLSSJ technology, where every other frame is in fact a still of Jensen laughing maniacally.

By Kibner Go To PostI haven't mentioned it in a while, but, man, I'm so glad I got this little finger-pushed vertical mouse. I only use it for work, but it leaves my wrist and arm rested for when/if I want to use a regular mouse for games later on.damn, might need this.
e: it's the UK's own DXT Wireless mouse: https://www.dxtmouse.com/ I have the older DXT2 version (on the left in the pic below)
Their promo video: https://www.dxtmouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/dxtmouse3-overview.mp4
e2: fuck, I might actually buy the new version of it as it has a lot of new features
By Kabro Go To Postdamn, might need this.It is very worth it, imo. It does take some getting used to, especially how to tilt it so you can recenter on your mousepad.

The 7600 reviews are out and it is underwhelming, but at least offers decent value. Ever so slightly more performant than the 6650xt for very slightly less money.
Budget gamers will likely want to stick with the 6700XT as their choice.
Bless Ali for saving my time by review both of these in one videos
I do feel though, the GPUs aren’t bad cards. They’re just victims of their awful price point and marketing set by Nvidia/AMD. When the arse falls out of these and you can buy a 4060Ti for £250-£300, it’ll be an absolutely great budget friendly upgrade for a lot of people.
Currently, it’s just too expensive for what it is.

im having to switch hands or use a wacom tablet to give my hand and wrist a break.
By Kabro Go To Postordered! It definitely takes adjustment. You aren't really intended to move your arms much with it at all. Push and pull with your fingers. If you need to move the mouse a large amount, then use your full arm to move it. Otherwise, just your fingers.

Oh ASUS... firmware updated two weeks later for review units make a huge difference.
He also makes a good point a out long term support and the fact that ASUS will most likely stop supporting it the moment Ally 2 comes out in 2 years.
Reminds me I need to dig into PowerToys for Windows 11 one of these days.
Fractal have been killing it lately.

I’m still really tempted to get a Fractal Ridge and move my PC into the living room. The new Steam Big Picture mode would have me mostly covered to use like a console.

By Zabojnik Go To PostFuck, RARBG died. I'm ruined. It's been my default distro site for years.
Rarbg also said that it was directly impacted by the war in Ukraine. It said that some of its employees “are also fighting the war in Europe — on both sides”.
Damn
Even though I just upgraded my ram I kinda have the itch to upgrade more... I could get a used 10900k or 11900k and sell my 10700k for a fairly cheap drop in replacement, but I'd really be better off just investing in a whole new system. There's nothing like tinkering with a system though lol.
edit: I'll probably just ride it out with this cpu and then upgrade for Meteor Lake, if that ever gets released.

Different fans, maybe some sound insulating foam, a custom loop, custom cables for cleaner runs, etc.Water cooling would make a lot of sense as this slightly overclocked 10700k runs hot. It feels like it would take a lot of time/effort on research though. (I've always been air only)
Although some would probably say it's criminal to have a CaseLabs case all these years and never do water cooling hmm...
oh snap, I didn't realize that pci-e 5.0 nvme drives were already out and buyable:
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Internal-10000MB-9500MB-AG510K2TB/dp/B0BVRS52T5
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-2tb-aorus-gen5-10000/p/N82E16820009042
Going from pci-e 3.0 straight to 5.0 would be nice...(and would require a new build). I guess I've got more to think about...

it’s always cool to play with new tech and see big numbers but perhaps I’ll just ride out the year with this platform for now and continue to wait for meteor lake. Next year that new Noctua NH-D15 successor should be out as well… (unless they delay it again lol)
By MF Coom Go To PostNot a fan. Pun intended.Yeah that one looks weird to me. Not a fan of the compatibility and layout either.
Fractal’s SFF offerings tho. They’re really on point at the moment
ssd prices are dropping like a rock, especially the sn850x drives. 990 pro drives are currently on big discount as well. I ended up grabbing a 4tb sn850x on sale and then sold one of my drives to partially offset the cost. Feels nice to never worry about space. I still have a 6 year old 1TB 960 Pro but I'll just keep it in the closet as a backup part since it's hardly worth anything these days anyway.
This means literally nothing but I found it interesting: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/doom-eternal-faster-old-amd-gpus-than-nvidia
[...]
In its testing, Hardware Unboxed found that in pairs of GPUs from AMD and Nvidia, where they used to battle neck-in-neck at their release, AMD's GPUs today come out with significantly higher performance than Nvidia's counterparts in testing Doom Eternal.
Take for example the GTX 780 and its main competitor from when it was out seven years ago, the almighty AMD Radeon R9 290. Back then, the two battled closely with one or the other winning at different games, but in Doom Eternal we see something completely different. Whereas the GTX 780 is able to put down an average of 45 FPS, the R9 290, pushes out 116 FPS on average -- that's more than twice as fast as Nvidia's card!
