Yeah, if nothing else, putting your OS and most used programs on an SSD will make a bigger difference than you can possibly imagine. Keeping the video content and such on a physical drive is definitely the right move in your situation, but I would still highly, highly, highly recommend an SSD for the OS and your most used programs.
By diehard Go To PostIt's hard to make specific part recommendations because of availability but everything you listed should work. A couple things you might want to look for is the QVL memory list of the motherboard you buy to include the memory you are looking at and possibly go to a 250GB SSD, here in the US 120 and 250's are basically the same price new.
lol its all good
I do have a 250GB SSD in my shortlist. The list just shows a 128 GB one because for some reason its 250 GB counterpart isn't listed on PCPP.

That is exactly my plan.

So I know you have the phanteks evolv x too no?
I thought it was rgb lighting but the only thing that lights up is the long strip on the bottom chamber. So I guess I'll need rgb fans on the front too then (low noise preferred). I'm looking at you smokey.
Also need recommendation on wood mechanical keyboards.
Also I'm surprised how quiet the system is. That Arctic freezer 280 is super quiet.
Upgraded to a evga G3 850. And overall a. Very quiet case.
A RGB setup is an absolute mess from a wiring perspective. It's one of the reasons I haven't gotten a new case, tbh. I don't feel like redoing all of it. This can be avoided by simply not going with RGB, but where's the fun in that.
Seriously though, the industry has to come up with a better solution. I think for each RGB fan, you have two connectors. For me, those connectors feed into both a Commander Pro and a Lighting Node Pro in my case, which have themselves have additional wires. My case is of dual chambered design so you don't see any of the wiring mess, but it is awful.
I can't even use addressable RGB with my motherboard. The 3 pin header is too close to the pump header, so it's one or the other.
By HonestVapes Go To PostM.2 everything future.Vapes, I made a post in the audio gear thread about some software to load some pre-built EQ files for various headphones that supposedly gets them closer to neutral/flat: https://slaent.com/thread/1283962/page/7/post/1952325/
It is a matter of installing one piece of software, pointing it to your headphone output, rebooting, and then copy+pasting some text into a config file. That's it.
I finally bought a Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2. It's an internal capture card. Pretty feature rich. Some standouts for me:
-4k60
-HDR that tone maps to SDR in captures/streams
-Supports up to 240hz captures
Will be here later this week. I game at my desk anyway most of the time, so having everything go through my PC via the Elgato will be nice.

Smouki going to exploit the void created by the ongoing streamer apocalypse. Always knew you were a superior mind.

Will probably start, yeah. Been getting asked to do it for some time. I already had an older elgato, but it maxed out at 1080p.
The Windows Media Creation Tool is slow as hell. Wtf? 😂
I still need to test everything, but I finally have all of the parts plugged in.

By EldritchTrapStar Go To PostThe Windows Media Creation Tool is slow as hell. Wtf? 😂If you want to OC your memory, it is best to image your install to a backup drive so that Windows doesn't get corrupted in case there are errors. Or, you can run https://www.memtest86.com off a bootable USB drive so that you never have to boot into an OS to test your memory.

Cool.
I'm looking for answers via Google, but it seems like downloading the ISO and then using a program called Rufus, is the path to success.
3 hours and I'm only at 13%? Microsoft, this is not the way.
Wow, that's actually really odd for it to be taking that long. It normally only takes 30-60 minutes for it to be completely done on my machine.
Ya'll. I got Windows on. Everything else seems fine. Dumbass tired, so I'll add drivers and whatnot tomorrow.
Excited like shit boi.

Hello fellow computer havers, my G900 mouse's battery is going and I would like to replace with a Very Gud (wireless) Mouse. Pls recommend.

Looking at Logitech G Pro Wireless and the Razer Basilisk Ultimate atm. Do like how light the Logitech appears to be and that it has a very 'normie' look.
Bit the bullet and purchased an open box alienware aw3418dw. Can anyone here familiar with the model suggest optimal settings or should the factory calibration be good enough?

I swear by the G305. Haven’t tried the G Pro though, and I did give away my G305 after getting a Model O-. Know that despite that, I miss it dearly and daily.
I was gonna say G305 too, but I thought it was too budget for the pro gamers. I changed to that from a 203 and I really like it better. I like the added battery weight.
By Laboured Go To PostOh, any good places to buy discreet mouse mat wrist rests? Think Kibs posted one before.https://castle.market/collections/wrist-rests
By Elliott Go To PostBit the bullet and purchased an open box alienware aw3418dw. Each panel differs too much individually to use someone else's calibration settings.
Just drained the loop and moved the motherboard to the new case and switched the RAM out for the Trident Z Royals. Wew, it’s really coming together and looking better than I ever imagined it could. Don’t think I’ve ever had a PC look this clean.
Also for the second time now I’ve spilt some fluid on my GPU while disassembling the loop. You’d think I’d learn my lesson by now, but nope.

By inky Go To PostIs it making contact with the block or the loop? The GPU block’s G1/4 terminals. Haven’t done the tubing yet.
Surprised me to be honest. The Phanteks block i have has fairly low profile terminals on it, it also fit the NCase with a few mm to spare which has the same stated 130mm of clearance.
Ordered some stand offs for the glass panel, but if I’m not happy with it long term then the dremel is coming out again and I’ll mount the GPU vertically.
Alternatively I might go with a a different block that has a lower profile terminal option. There’s a few, but I do especially like this one Bitspower make.
Thankfully, the 80mm of clearance for the top radiator and fans was truthful. The chunky Corsair XR7 fits fine with the A12x25 fans and doesn’t seem to block any cables.
Clearance at the bottom of the case is tight with only 45mm from the floor to the GPU block. I have a 30mm radiator in there currently with A12x15 fans, but I may mount the fans externally as I’ve seen a few builds do that, or swap out to the 20mm rad I was using previously in the NCase.
