i've said it before, but it's great to see Lotus cars around my town again. It's like a previously in-danger population of animals starting to thrive again.
By RATHasReturned Go To PostWhat are the best 4-door sedans these days?Define what you mean by best
Seen some Hummer EV reviews, what an incredible car, would love to have one. And they beat Tesla to the market, nice.
By Lunatic Go To PostDefine what you mean by bestStyle, driveability, $70k to $90k
By RATHasReturned Go To PostStyle, driveability, $70k to $90kYou're basically looking at a 5-Class, A6/A5 Sport Coupe, or E-Class in that range. If you're into Lexus' styling, they're there, too. I prefer what Infiniti has to offer in that segment though.
Alfa Romeo Giulia will be the best driving of the bunch but least reliable and on the smaller side.
Unless you want to jump into the performance models and go smaller then you're probably at the M3, RS5 Sport Coupe, and C63 AMG category which at that $70-90k marker isn't a bad place to be. The M3 front though... hard pass. Maybe you'd like the M340i better?
Honestly the Jaguar XF had them all beat but they're out of that game now, which is a shame.
Saw someone put 50 caliber bullets on the rear of their wheels as their lug nuts.
Of course it was a flat gray Dodge Durango.

So I was pricing out Discount Tire and Costco for the Michelin PSAS4's... Discount Tire comes out at $1125 meanwhile Costco is at $942 and I'm like wtf?
Turns out DT automatically includes(tho you can opt out) the tire warranty at $41 per tire... take that off and suddenly the full set at DT costs $960 vs $1100 with the warranty.
Now here's the kicker, Costco includes a 5 year tire warranty(vs 3 years at DT) at that price point so obviously, it's kind of a no-brainer and I'm definitely going to Costco instead lol.
But that pretty much raised the question, do y'all actually buy the tire warranty?

I did. Mostly because there is a lot of construction going on around and I had already suffered from punctured tires like twice in the previous three years.
E: oh, and it paid for itself in the first six months lol

Yes. It’s come through far more than not.

Resale is out of control, I spent less than 4k on our car in 2018 and dropped almost as much to get the transmission replaced this year rather than buy a new one for three times that
By Kabro Go To Postwas car shopping over the weekend. $10k above MSRP?
gtfo here.
It’s a bad time. I had to pay over MSRP too when we bought in Dec 2021. After registration fees tax etc your eyes just glaze over and just be like just give me the final number goddamn
The Toyota bZ4X is brand new and just hitting the streets, but there’s already a big problem for the EV. In June, Toyota advised owners to park their new electric crossover, stating that sharp turns or abrupt acceleration could cause the vehicle’s hub bolts to loosen, making it more likely that a wheel would fall off. Now, the automaker is sending letters to owners with the next steps, and the situation appears to have reached the point that Toyota’s ready to start buying back bZ4Xs from unsatisfied buyers.Toyota, really?
Good luck finding an EV in stock at MSRP today, might get lucky with Tesla, they secured their supply chain better than others seemingly. My EV wait time is 2-3 years 🤷
By Frustrated_me Go To PostOuf.. q4 or GT?It's for any EV.
Incentives for German EVs? Must be nice.
Going to wait to see there other upcoming offerings also quite interested in Polestars after seeing a ton on road here in Munich.

Realized recently that I have been putting my heel on the floor when using the accelerator when I don't need to since the pedal has a stop for the bottom of my foot. This is probably why I have been having issues with shoes on my right foot. Just putting pressure on my feet in weird places for no reason.
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R arrives with a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 that makes 700 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque.
Along with a restored roar, every Raptor R has 37-inch tires and subtle visual cues that differentiate it from the V-6 version.
The 2023 F-150 Raptor R starts at $109,145, with orders open now and production starting this fall.
Really annoyed with how many terrible drivers have almost caused accidents around me the last couple months. Seems like half the time I'm on the road, I just narrowly avoid someone driving into me or someone near me. People just not paying attention or just willingly making risky maneuvers. Stressing me out.
People became uber shit drivers through the pandemic like they thought all rule of law or common decency went away

This is a constant issue for me now. Can't go for a drive without a number of near-accidents happening that are only avoided because I'm the only cunt paying attention.
I posted this in the random thread, but I think it fits better here. These videos are basically the drive I bought a sportscar with great handling for. Starting from the time stamp in this video...
... and continuing until about 3:10 in this video. This video picks up right where the previous one left off.

I've been driving some stuff recently simply because I can and not because I'm in the market...
I drove the Lamborghini Urus and drove the Aston Martin DBX 707. One of those two is complete crap and not worth the money they're asking for (in relation to another vehicle). The other is absolutely awesome and worth every penny. You pick which is which.
Also test drove a new Audi R8 V10 Plus. And in short, I'm happy I own a McLaren, instead. LOL
