Fucking hilarious. Love how he tried to keep the global politics out of it too while talking about the car. Read the room, lady.
1500 hp model please
By reilo Go To PostManual EV? lol broHey, videos games been doing that for years.
Posted this in the Photography thread but some of y'all may also like it... just a couple of shots of cars that I shot using a film camera:
I personally love the shot of that Volvo, the colors and the car basically blending in the background and the asymmetrical line from the bollards. It really fits that Swedish aesthetic Volvo has.

Yeah, those all look pretty good. They also remind how long it has been since I've seen "natural" film grain in a picture.
It’s time to bid a sweet goodbye to the Mazda6 and Mazda CX-3. In a statement today, Mazda officially announced that both models would be discontinued after their 2021 model year run comes to an end. They haven't announced a Mazda6 replacement but rumors are next Mazda6 is going upmarket, RWD, and I6... but if they don't do that, then fuck this world and this SUV hungry industry

is tJaguar is the kind of automaker that, from afar, does not make sense. You want me to buy an expensive car that will only depreciate, might be undependable, and also lacks any one quality you might call interesting? Up close, though, things are different. After spending a day at JLR’s headquarters, I began to talk myself into it.
the fuck did I just read
Saw a Hummer EV prototype in traffic today but didn’t manage to snap a photo. It’s HUGE. Like dump truck big 😂
I don’t get the appeal at all.

By Blue Go To PostThe F-150 EV looks dope. Need to improve the range, doh. Will wait for Toyota’s answer.
I strongly suspect the new Tundra is a TT V6 PHEV. Should be a monster. What I've been waiting for, really.
I think 300 mi is fine, and 230 is probably fine for job site work trucks. Problem is, if I get a truck it's for outdoor activities mostly, which means being an EV is a pretty large problem.
This is probably dumb for most people but as someone who works with both companies seeing this shit is funny:
Apparently Germany only has one picturesque house for stock photos. 😂
The Taycan got there first btw, those pics have been up since last year and are all over the internet.

I appreciate how they photoshopped the roof to look like it has solar panels lol
Also, I saw what you've been driving on your IG. Talk to me...
My dad had an old E30, old enough that the engine needed the conversion when fuels switched to unleaded. Lasted decades. Brother adopted it when he passed his tests. Was an incredible car with a monstrous horn lol.
In Vegas for the weekend and rented a Range Rover . Lovely ride. Super comfortable. My wife has been on the Velar for a while, but I've always liked the Sport and bigger models.
Do they still have reliability issues?

I assume it's about the F-PACE SVR so what do you wanna know? Lol.
Personally, I like it a lot. Feels very competitive with the Cayennes and X5s of the world. The redesigned interior is leagues ahead versus whatever the system before. Like the old one felt like it was from 2012(especially Rover's version) this new Pivi Pro brings it up to 2020 standards. Still a bit complicated with some dumb decisions(no CarPlay like setup where you can have the map, radio, etc in one screen) but performance-wise it's as good as the competition. Other details like the shift lever, AC controls, etc. are also great now. The interior is a nice place to be in for sure.
As for the stuff that really matters like engine/suspension, honestly I couldn't really tell the difference between the previous one. It felt mostly the same as before, but then again I didn't really have the chance for shenanigans since I mostly stayed in our area which is pretty much a downtown area with tons of construction everywhere. That said, it's pretty great, felt very sporty and very capable if you have to engage in shenanigans lol.
On a related note, I've also been driving an ID.4 all day today and VW finally fixed the infotainment system so it's a loooooooooot faster, more responsive and isn't a pain in the ass to use anymore. It's now so good that I actually want one now. 😬

No. Not for a while. They're solid cars.

Yeah, the new interior is absolutely sensational - nothing carried over, and feels like it's a different caliber of vehicle now. The basic infotainment system in the F-Pace (the smaller screen with buttons) was pretty meh from the launch models. The larger and optional (and later standard on 2019-2020) was extremely good, though (the one in my F-Pace and F-Type). But yeah, this new system is fucking awesome, and I LOVE (LOVE!) how it's curved to conform to the shape of the dash, as opposed to just stick out like a slab of plastic.
Was looking for a cheap lease car for my fiance to replace a moldering old Rav4 and had forgotten how shit mainstream brand car dealerships are. You'd figure if I go on the manufacturer's website and look up lease deals by the local zip you'd be able to get that but dude's like "you want a 30K loaded last gen Civic? That'll be 589 a month on lease with your perfect credit. Special offer." LOL.
I don't have patience for this haggling stuff any more. Smell ya later bro- get like 15 calls and dudes rushing out of the dealership to try and hold me hostage including their "customer relations manager."
Really blows my mind after dealing with higher end dealerships the last several years. Usually I'd just buy used with my own CU financing for this, but with used prices being what they are it's not worth it right now.

Starting to see more and more Lotus around. It's like a decimated local animal population returning to healthy numbers. You love to see it.
By reilo Go To PostWish I had Taycan money. Wanna get an EV for my next vehicle but I don’t want Tesla and I hate how the other EVs look
Taycan wow. Already outselling the 911. Porsche breaking NA sales records.
Rimac will be the majority shareholder with a stake of 55% in the joint venture, while Porsche holds the rest and will also retain its 24% stake that it holds in Rimac directly. The venture is expected to be officially launched in the fourth quarter of this year and will be based in Zagreb.https://apple.news/AaZnQOjGnQnCGoTbCwmiKDA
Rimac will restructure into a holding company, the Rimac Group, and two business units—one home to the company’s established business supplying EV technology to other auto makers and the other hosting the hypercar business that will be created by merging Bugatti with Rimac’s hypercar activities.
Mr. Rimac, who will become CEO of Bugatti-Rimac venture, said Rimac could seek a listing at some point in the future but that he was in no hurry.
Dubbed Bugatti-Rimac, the hypercar business will continue to build the Chiron and the all-electric Rimac Nevera, and will jointly develop new models for the future, including all electric Bugatti models.
PorscheAG just got a huge ace up their sleeve
Who is this rimac kid? Dude has had a meteoric rise. Always though he must have someone huge backing him.
Croatian engineer. Started by converting his E30 into an EV project in his high school and just ran with it. Within a decade he was selling EV hypercars.
He's basically what everyone thinks Musk is but a legit engineer and knows wtf he's doing.
Legit a proper garage to startup success story.
Born in Bosnia, makes me proud 😭

Damn honestly thought he must have been some aristocrats kid given how fast he came up. Everybody's buying his tech.
AFAICT he's just a regular dude. His dad is a real estate guy but that doesn't really mean shit in the Balkans post-war.
He got attention by winning a bunch of competitions with his EV E30.

Shoutout to Lotus for keeping my British two-seater with a manual dreams alive.
If you're someone currently driving a manual 4-cyl Cayman and love what that car is about, then this car should probably be your next upgrade...
