Here's a couple of mods I just added to my M3 which really turned it into a different animal. The intake is an Eventuri CF intake: great design, build quality, sounds like a mini CSL airbox, super easy to install and made noticeable gains across the powerband.
The exhaust is a Dixis Spirit full Titanium section 3. It is the rarest, overall best exhaust for the E46 M3. It sounds absolutely incredible (by far the best sounding M3 exhaust I have ever heard), it only weighs 14 lbs (40ish lbs less than my Supersprint Street that it replaced), and it sounds the same as the SS Street or OEM section 3 cruising on the freeway. No loud drone or harsh frequencies, just a smooth, quiet hum.
By far the best, coolest car part I have ever purchased and it totally transformed my car.
Next up: Carbon Fiber roof, Recaros, and I'll be installing my new Big Brake Kit soonish!
I’d get a Lexus LFA, a 911 GT3 Touring w/a manual, a RAM TRX and an Audi RS6. Should have some left over after that too.
Damn this is actually hard lol.
I'd get the Audi RS6 and a Range Rover SVAutobiography for daily duties, a 964 RS America or 930 Turbo with the whale tail, a stage 1 turbo ND Miata RF for the track, and a Golf R as a winter beater and for when I don't want attention.
That's around $660k lmao.
Dunno what I'd spend the remaining $340k on tho as everything I listed above is all I really want. I suppose an R33 GT-R, FD RX-7, Ferrari Testarossa/512, or an E36 M3 Lightweight would be the last thing I'd add and it'd be the "Cars and Coffee" car lol.
An LFA or Carrera GT would be great but I'd be too scared to put miles in them lmao, not to mention driving such an expensive car around the brodozers in Texas gives me anxiety. I can't really think of something else that I'd consider really special while also not having to worry about driving it around. (The RX-7 doesn't count coz I'd have $300k left over to keep fixing the apex seals before eventually selling it or doing a V8 conversion. 🤣)

Tesla Model S Plaid. That steering wheel going to be uncomfortable as fuck.
The new Model S starts at $79,990 for a “Long Range” dual-motor version that gets 412 miles of range. Or people can spend $119,000 for one with the new, more powerful “Plaid” powertrain that goes 390 miles with that sub-2 second 0–60 time. The “Plaid+” version with 520 miles starts at $139,000.
By Facism Go To PostDoes this one come with panels fitted properly?Going be at least another 10 years before they get those that right.

That interior is actually nice to look at. But yeah...I hold the wheel with my left hand at 9 o'clock. How will I do that now? :\
That steering wheel is a deal breaker. In F1 cars they have those but it’s like 60-70 degrees lock to lock. Either the steering is too sensitive for a street car or there’s nowhere to grab mid turn. But then Tesla only seems to care about visual appearance and gimmicks, so... *shrug
I'm 99% sure driving schools tell you to hold the steering wheel at 10 and 2. And I have a vague recollection of the driving school I went to where the instructor would hit the brakes or slap your hand with a ruler if you weren't holding it at 10 and 2. So I have no clue how the hell that's going to work here.
Personally I'm more of a 8 and 4 guy when I'm just cruising... 10 and 2 only happens when I'm doing shenanigans lmao.

Man I'm one hand at 6 on the straights in traffic one finger in the ridge of 3. Lazy ass driver unless I'm booking it.
I largely drive 10 and 2 but have been known to go one at 12 when I’m feeling lazy on an open highway.
It's supposed to be 9 & 3 with modern day cars and slightly smaller steering wheels we have now. Basically, most cars have a steering wheel spoke that's at 9 and 3. That's where your hands should be ideally.
10 and 2 has been replaced for close to 20 years now.

Oh yea the underhand grip is a big no-no while driving. Absolutely terrible and can get your hands and motion stuck if you need to maneuver out of a bad situation.

The general shape of the wheel also encourages 10 and 2. Going to try to have my thumb rest on the wheel instead of gripping it, though.

Model S steering wheel is optional. In other words, gimmick.

That's good. Feel bad for the idiots that actually purchase the optional abomination. I guess it's good to stir social media engagement.
By Kidjr Go To PostAll I want to see is the new range so I can make my mind up about it or the q8It depends what do you want? All luxury brands are going to be miles ahead of a Tesla when it comes to quality. The question comes down to if you want the badge.
Lexus will start writing the next chapter in its 32-year history when it unveils a mysterious concept car in spring 2021. It hasn't revealed the design study's name yet, but it explained the model will show what's coming.
Koji Sato, the company's president and chief branding officer, noted that the concept "illustrates our intentions for the future, and marks the beginning of the next generation of Lexus." He stopped short of providing additional details, but the company's plans for the future are fairly easy to decipher. Lexus isn't going to start making rifles, lawn mowers, or garage flooring; it's very likely going to electrify its range while reinventing its design language for the 2020s and adding more technology — including advanced semi-automated systems — to its cars.
So I guess Lexus has finally moved onto the "copying Porsche" phase
Eyeballing changing the family ride out for a 21 Ridgeline. Test drove an older one and as usual, Honda just does way too many damn simple things correctly nobody else gets right.

You wanna look like a king? Get the Rover.
You wanna look like some hedge fund manager who lost everything coz of WSB... get the Q8.
😆
I want to go to a track at some point so I can actually rev this thing up for more than two seconds at a time.

Hearing range will be minor changes though which in that case may get a specced out Q8 because fuck me that car is sexy.

You can't compare a Q8 to a Range, m8. You taking a piss or what?
I know range is viewed as being in a league above status wife. But like Lunatic said, that blacked out RS spec q8 in filthy.
For a brand new car that will be in showroom this year they sure are keeping quiet about it though.
Cant drive anywhere in lockdown anyway so will chill for now, just find this whole make us wait thing weird.

Fuck you're actually looking at an RSQ8. Damn man that's a hard choice against a SVR. Me personally would take the RSQ8 from a pure reliability standpoint and also I prefer the look.
By Lunatic Go To PostKid really needs to give us a price range so we can supply a recommendation.
100ish so svr probably out price range of what I wanna spend
By Kidjr Go To Post100ish so svr probably out price range of what I wanna spend$100k GBP correct? Have you driven these options? Because at the end of the day its how you feel while driving. Especially when you are paying that kind of money.

Audi and reliability do not mix. They continue to be horribly unreliable cars. Everybody I know with new Audis STILL endure issues. Everybody I know with Range Rovers find themselves perplexed about why people call them unreliable (and as someone who's owned 6 Jaguars now...I agree)
Man I've had at a few law partners that have constantly had issues with Ranges. I've have had audis for me and my family and besides a sensor going bad it has been fine.
Fair enough I'm just talking from my experience. It's anecdotal. I've only had two myself and my latest one has been fine. My two vehicles are these. And no that's not a handicap spot in case people are wondering.

We've driven the q8 and love it. Wouldn't want current range with the new one about to drop as we tend to keep our car for 5 years atleast. Cayanne isn't big enough for my 5 foot wife.

Oh no. Def food for thought.
The only issue I've had with my A5 is an occasionally squeaky sounding driver's side folding mirror that resolved itself a few weeks after ownership. I'm not dumb enough to own one out of warranty though.
Well shit, an RSQ8 completely changes everything then lol. Isn't that basically an Urus for the people who don't want to pay the Lambo premium?
I've never driven an RSQ8 but tons of SVR Rovers and SVAutobigraphies, and IMO they're fantastic and quite sporty but I dunno if it'd be quite sportier than the RSQ8 as I assume that's gonna be on the super sporty end of the sporty spectrum. (Sorry I just wanted some alliteration lmao).
So if sportiness is what you're after, I imagine the RSQ8 would be a lot better. But if you're looking for a balance, then an SVR or SVAutobio is probably the safest bet.
Reliability wise, Rovers definitely do get a bad rap but that's coz a lot of their owners are stupid (at least that's what I've been told by our service advisors and mechanics lol). They think because Rovers are rugged it also means reliability... that line of thinking can't even apply to Jeep so I'm not sure why they think that way. Either way, it's still a European car so as long as you're familiar with the quirks of European vehicles, you'll be fine.

“It took us a while to kind of iron out the production process. Friends ask me: ‘When should I buy a Tesla?’ And I’m like: ‘Well, either buy it right at the beginning, or when the production reaches a steady state,’” Musk said in the interview.
Munro then asked why his brand new Model 3 sedan had paint issues, when another one built a month later that he saw was “spectacular.” Musk replied that Tesla had improved its paint quality “toward the end of last year, even in the course of December.”
“One of the things that was happening when we were ramping production was the paint wasn’t necessarily drying enough,” Musk said. “So, it’s like, if you go faster... it’s like, you just discover these things. Like, If we knew them in advance, we would fix them in advance,”
Munro is well known for tearing down cars of all types, but his critiques of Tesla’s vehicles are especially popular. His examination of a Model 3 in 2018 was particularly tough, comparing the quality to a Kia from the 1990s. “I cant imagine how they released this,” Munro said at the time.
All that really fucks me off about Landrover owners is that they're always scared to take their cars off the road onto some grass, slightly, so we can pass on a country road. I'm not driving my low-suspension vehicle into a fucking irrigation ditch because you might get a little mud on your MASSIVE OFFROAD TYRES and that would be bad :( :(
Bwahahaha, I had a similar discussion with our Rover GM about that.
He asked if we can get footage of one driving off-road and I was just like "yes, but we're gonna dirty up the car if we do!" 😱😱😱
And he just rolled his eyes at me, probably coz we just did an off-road thing with the VW Atlas CrossSport a few days before that meeting. 😂😂😂
I'm not against it... just that the Atlas we used was a salesman's personal car, not something in our inventory lol.

Went for a drive yesterday for nearly an hour. Windows rolled down, music playing, cruising through downtown and its side streets. It was very enjoyable. Definitely helped relieve some stress.

literally the only thing i can do rn to chill out with everything locked down. Too cold and windy to cycle, no gym, no sports, no women.
