Children and people that can’t let go of their childhood were a mistake
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYes, it is just like that one. It's live action with CGI.i don't understand.
Jungle Book makes sense since there was like 1 human character. So in the movie, it was one actor and everything else was CG. Lion Kings is all animals?

I’m not stanning Homecoming. It’s just better than those hammy old movies where the hero cries every five minutes and complains all the time

trash
This isn't Ghost in the Shell, this is Robocop.
If I would have made GITS I would have started that shit with lesbian sex. Everyone would have paid attention and known I was serious after that
By LFMartins86 Go To PostMovie of the year.
It’s going to be up there
Man...whatever Bushwick was trying to say was lost among the gunshots and cool camera work. In totality, it ended up being just an okay action thriller. I really didn't expect some of the shit that went down in the film to happen. Dour and devoid of any semblance of happiness (which I am perfectly okay with). It was let down by the acting and a lack of focus on it's own message. I enjoyed it though. The directors throw you into the chaos and do a good job of giving you a chance to breath every now and then. The pacing was fine too.
If you want to see another film comprised of long takes, akin to this, then you should watch Victoria. That movie is dope af.

I just walked out of the Hollywood adaptation of Agatha Christie's best work Murder on the Oirent Express (2017) incredibly underwhelmed with the results, which takes steps in providing a significant budget adaption but ends feeling like an extended TV movie filled with few superstar actors. Nobody cares enough to give a decent performance with the only exception being Kenneth Branagh as Poirot, who does his best.
2.5/5
PS: Daisy Ridley deserves better, somebody fire her agent

they shouldnt have done the long takes. it works for the action stuff but the stitching was obvious and it doesn't work for dialogue scenes at all. "hey actors just sit there and talk for 5 minutes while we pad this out. talk about what? i dunno"
honestly felt like a lot of padding, but im sure it couldnt be bang bang all the time
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostGuess I should go see Thor Ragnarok huh?
It's very funny moment to moment and has a lot of really solid action, but the script has some problems. Great performances and a lot of style though.
It's not funny in the same way Guardians 2 was funny. The humor in Guardians 2 was coming from a place of laugh so you don't cry. Ragnarok is more like laugh because all this shit is really ridiculous.

Was okay, some really obvious CGI when the train was moving.

New Thor confirms the running theory that Thor is the MCU’s comedy MVP. 9.5/10
"How did you end up here?"
"Well, I tried to start a revolution, but didn't print enough pamphlets so hardly anyone turned up. Except for my mum and her boyfriend, who I hate."
Just watched Wind River. Great movie, excellently shot and with some strong performances.
The confrontation was so well done.

I finally got around to seeing Get Out, and I regret not seeing it sooner. Extremely well done, played with tropes extremely well, and some great performances all around. It also came together very well, with some more than good world building throughout.
Anyone else seen "Good Time"?
I felt like i must have missed something, the ending was kind of weird and i felt like i didn't really get the point (if there was one) it was trying to make.
Still liked it though

By Moris Go To PostThor was ok. Marvel did it again.
I was pretty cynical about a new Marvel movie. It was still good. They know at the very least how to keep your interest. The pacing is shite tho.
I saw Killing of a Sacred Deer the other day. One of the most unsettling things I've ever seen in the cinema.
Also watched Murder on the Orient Express which was... fine.

Watched a bunch:
- Wind River = good actually
- Dark Tower = Very Bad
- Wor for the Planet of the Apes or Whatever = decent enough
- Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets = passable save for Rhianna

.
Thought it was a more precise, more detailed, more successful effort than The Lobster
Its Dogtooth levels of clinical, dry, beckettish, unnerving absurdity.
And its exactly what i fuckin want in a Lanthimos film
Either I'm getting too cynical or Thor wasn't really that great.
I enjoyed the jokes but there's really not much meat to the film itself. Also, Hela kinda sucked as a villain.

Hollywood Reporter is claiming that Universal's Dark Universe is pretty much dead now that Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan are off the project.
Can't wait to see them try again in 3 years to kick-start the Universe for a third time.

Disgusted more like, I still have the bad taste in my mouth. But speaking of that Zack Synder needs to direct a live-action Shadow the Hedgehog movie lol
