I didn't think it looked that good. I have feeling this will flop.
Speaking about the Vin Diesel x The Rock feud, apparently there was a post credit scene originally attached to F8 with The Rock and Statham but Vin Diesel only found out about it just before it was about the movie was about to be released and order it to be remove from the theatrical release.

They should make Tyresee the anchor for the FF franchise.
Do like a prequel, stripped down, back to basics, him growing up to be crowned the kind of street racing in LA or wherever he is from.

I think it's gonna bomb HARD. The Spider-man deal might make their summer look decent, but Dark Tower is gonna hurt their bottom line,.
Poor ol Nikolaj Arcel.
Everyone go watch A Royal Affair
Vikander's best performance by quite a few furlongs
Mads is tops too

By LFMartins86 Go To Postthat looks awful
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostThe mummy looks really bad as wellThe Mummy has all the makings of a good movie. In Christopher McQuarrie and Cruise I trust.
Jon Spaihts is the wildcard.
Blade Runner posters are out. People are upset.
I like Blade Runner, but don't think it is anything special outside of its aesthetics. Just excited for another film from Villeneuve.

I like how they have no faith in a Dark Tower movie and potential sequels, so they smashed together all the books into one movie.
Can someone explain to me how a now movie/sequel can ruin the original for someone?
Like the new one is going to change the chemical makeup of your brain and erase any good feelings you had of the original?
Seen a lot of people say this about Blade Runner/Star Wars/Alien

Like, there are things to get irked about, like Lucas ret-conning certain things and whatever the fuck he did in the prequels that put a sour note on some of the lore (midichlorians, come on), but I think prequels are a different kind of ballgame.
Sometimes a sequel will come in and potentially ruin the lore of a franchise because the vague idea in someone's head would always exceed the expectations of the potential answer.

That is true.
It all reminds me of Lost. People were dying for answers, but there was never going to be a good answer.

Blade Runner is boring
There i said it
Blade Runner is a movie that I've seen at least three or four times and each time I try to like it just because I feel like I should... but I'm bored by it every time. It's a obviously a gorgeous film and Rutger Hauer is awesome, but it's soooo slow and the narrative doesn't pick up until like the last 20 minutes. Plus there's that weird rapey scene that comes out of nowhere with Harrison Ford and the replicant that always puts me off.
Looks good. Cinematography is lovely. Very well edited trailer. I'm sure I've seen Nolan is aiming for a streamlined visceral experience as well, script is like 100 pages.
By n8 dogg Go To PostWho's shooting it, Deakins?Yes. You can tell by the poorly lit indoor scenes and phenomenally lit night scenes π

This is the first time I have heard this criticism of him.
By Wedward Go To PostThis is the first time I have heard this criticism of him.Really? It's his biggest criticism and probably why he hasn't won an Oscar yet. He's GOAT at night-time stuff, but his in-door lighting is always a bit, desaturated and muted:
I know that's Craig and Fiennes, but you can barely tell out their features.
I don't really have a favorite. Tons of great cinematographers working currently.
I'd probably say Lubezki, but Malick is the reason for that.
Radegund will be his first without Lubezki since Thin Red Line. Using JΓΆrg Widmer who was the cam operator for his recent films.

Deakins is still a great cinematographer, and still one of my favorites. He's never outgrown his indoor flaw or tried something else, which is odd.
Look at this still from No Country for Old Men:
Everything is the same palette including Kelly Macdonald, and she almost blends into the room. It's such a stark contrast from when he works with night-time shots with fluorescent lighting to paint the picture.

Give you the power to create a thread? You already have it? And Moris made a BR thread for the original teaser: http://slaent.com/thread/957294/
If you wanna keep the crowd away just ask cordially in the thread.

The only thing interesting about this Blade Runner is Villeneuve and Gosling. If it were Antoine Fuqua or Peter Berg and Mark Wahlberg we would be laughing no matter how good it looked.

By GQman2121 Go To PostThat was a fairly low bar, I'll admit. But Blade Runner is a low bar itself.π

True. Directors are my biggest sell nowadays. Unless its Ben Mendelsohn. Then I see it anyway.
