I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know (more for other people, really), but keep in mind that the O- really is made for tiny hands or people who use their fingertips to push the mouse.

By HottestVapes Go To PostBeen considering a new mouse for a little while now. I've been super fucking happy with the G305, but with all the light mice out nowadays, decided it was time to go back to wired.
Was close to buying the Coolermaster MM710 earlier today, then I just checked OCUK and the Model O- is in stock so went with that one. Partially because Woonen has gushed over his Model O, and partly because I a have the GMMK keyboard already and it's a 10/10.
good man.

Stubby fingers and wide palms, the absolute worse combo for dexterity and finesse.
The G305 suits my hand really well, the Model O- has similar dimensions to that. Only £45 too, fucking bargain that.
By HottestVapes Go To PostStubby fingers and wide palms, the absolute worse combo for dexterity and finesse. It is an amazing bargain. The branding results in me always giving it the side eye but the real reason I ended up not getting either Model O version is because I was able to spend a good few minutes with them at a demo booth at QC a couple months ago and could tell they wouldn't be as comfortable for long sessions with my mouse grip as my current mouse. Better sensor (that I'm not really good enough to take advantage of) and much lighter, though. Just not quite the right shell for my hand.

e: i might look into upgrading my existing mouse's cord with a para cord; that and a bungee would get of my only real complaints with it
i have probably the tiniest fingers an adult has ever had. why i always preferred dual shock controllers as well.
For controllers, I typically hold them so close to my body that I prefer larger ones so that my wrists aren't bent as much when using my natural position. I also have slightly smaller than average hands, for the record.

I don't feel there's really anywhere around my end of the UK where I can get hands on with mice/keyboards/etc. before buying. Wish there was, would save me a fair bit of money in the long run. Been meaning to go to the actual OCUK store at some point, but even that's an hour away.
I rely on hands on reviews mostly (bless RJN), then go for it and hope it suits my grip style (palm/claw).
I can definitely empathize. QC is the only time I really get to do that and it is only once a year and there aren't as many vendors out there each year as I would like.

I can't go into Cod Multiplayer on PC. Even after I wait till the shader optimization completes, it freezes on the Welcome to crossplay beta screen. Yes I'm the guy playing on a 2200G with 16gb. Looking at relevant YouTube vids, people with the same or similar setups are having the same issues. Kind of a bummer, but watching analysis videos that showcase the 2200G with an 570/580, the optimization is crazy impressive imo

Western Digital getting out of the storage system business: https://www.anandtech.com/show/14890/western-digital-to-exit-storage-systems-sells-off-intelliflash-division
Hey guys, my sister has problems with here notebook. Although I know my basics, I wouldn't consider myself too knowledgeable regarding PC stuff, so it would be cool if someone could answer a question or two.
Her Notebook wouldn't boot up anymore and the HDD wasn't recognized in BIOS anymore. Together with the stuff she told me what happened earlier, it was pretty clear that the HDD was broken. Smart as she was, she of course didn't backup her stuff. So I told her I could replace the HDD but she'd need to hand it in to a repair shop if she wanted to try to recover the data because I don't have the tools.
She then did give it to a tech guy who I think is a huge asshole but she was friends with his daughter in school, so he's still her go to guy for that reason I guess. Now, the guy recovered the data, put in a SSD and at an even good price. So I was surprised. Now, three weeks later, not so much. The notebook again has problems booting up and she returned it to the guy. Now, it's supposed to boot up in only about 3 of 4 cases and apparantly unfixable broken. Now, my question: am I just paranoid because I hate the guy or does this sound sketchy? To my knowledge, everything beside of the motherboard should be replaceable/fixable. But I've never dared (or rather needed) to touch the motherboard on my stuff, is it possible that it's the cause of the problem? Is it possible that a mainboard can sometimes recognize a HDD and sometimes not, or is it more of a running well vs completely broken thing? Just sounds unlikely to me that the HDD and motherboard would die at the same time.

The HDD probably was never broken. You can do simple data recovery on drive that was formatted or had their MBR/bootloader corrupted etc.. but generally if a drive is actually dead enough to not be recognized in the BIOS then its really dead and would require professional data recovery. That along with the new SSD having some troubles would make me think it was a cable or the motherboard all along.
While i have never seen that exact case where 3 out of 4 times a drive isn't recognized, weird intermittent stuff like that can happen even when it seems to make no sense. Is there any differences between the 3 times that it does work than the 4th time it doesn't? Does it behave the same when its a cold boot vs a restart? After boot are they any weird system hangs or weird symptoms?

Meanwhile Samsung running laps
Samsung Bangs Out Bigger And Faster SSDs Up To 30.72TB And 8,000MB/s That 'Never Die'
I just asked her again because I unfortunately can't look into it as I'm living somewhere else. She has said that it has worked fine and she shut it down and booted it up a few times after the first repair but tried various times and couldn't get it back to start a few days ago. Now she returned it to the tech guy and he said it would only start up 1 out of 4 times (sorry, got it wrong the first time). If there's any truth in that or how it behaves if it actually starts, I can't tell.
Thanks a lot for your answer! Yes, it would make sense that the HDD wasn't broken. He said he could sell her a new notebook and would make her an offer, taking the repair and SSD cost into account. Which, again, being wary of the guy, would make me believe that could have been the plan all along. I can't believe that either both HDD and motherboard were broken or it was an honest mistake and he didn't realize the HDD wasn't broken and it was a different problem... ugh, I hate this kinda stuff.

Buy AMD brehs
Deleting comments saying he is using a pre-production board. Yikes
Edit: Even MSI commented that lmao

[edit] i retract that. I regret my words and deeds. Dude in the video is genuinely upset about the issue, what a champ.

By RATHasReturned Go To PostI love it when corporations call out bullshit YouTube videos.review sample boards should run like a retail board though, that is definitely MSI shifting blame to where they can. That being said he probably shouldnt have made that video if it was really a pre-production board.

By diehard Go To Postnever had any problems with any MSI boardSame, though I've only used one or two. The only mobo I've had a problem with was a Gigabyte, which had a known factory defect. Didn't bother sending it in when they issued the recall and had a SATA controller die on me consequently.
Loved my MSI 970 GAMING 4G. Twin Frozr forevah.
By HottestVapes Go To PostAnybody here paracorded their mouse? No, but it is certainly something I'm going to look into in a month
Well, RIP me. Model O- arrived, plugged it in and it lit up but it's completely unresponsive. No cursor movement or response from the the buttons.
Edit: Nevermind. Just needed to unplug and plug it back in a couple times. Working fine now.

Wooden was right. These Model O's are fucking great. I don't like the cable at all, it's looking janky as fuck right out the box and even now in a bungee, it's still janked up. Though thankfully it's not causing any issue with using the mouse itself.
Unbelievably light compared to the G305 with a lithium AA battery. I feel like I need to adjust to the lightness of it still, but going straight to playing Siege with it I feel like I'm doing alright.
First bit of THunt to get used to it and a good round from my first actual match with it.

Ordered a paracord for my Model O-. There's a UK site that make them, pretty cheap too. Mine cost about £13. https://paracablemods.co.uk/
Bought and just installed a Crucial P1 1TB drive in my girlfriend's laptop. Copied GTAV over to the Crucial, took about five minutes flat for 90Gb. Then I found out to move it to new install location I actually had to uninstall it from the original location and install it to the new location. Absolute bullshit. Moving the files back to the stock Intel 660p drive is when I discovered that the difference between the two drives in speed is very obvious. Talking 700mbs write speed vs 50mbs. Now I'm glad that I went with a Samsung 970 for my PC over a Intel 660p despite paying about £50 more for it at the time.
Might never notice the difference in speed for loading games or on boot, but if you ever transfer a large file from one drive to another, you'll be glad of the extra speed from a fast NVMe.

Speaking of cables, might as well go ahead and order a custom coiled cable for my upcoming Ducky One 2 SF keyboard, seeing how the turnaround time ranges anywhere from 3-5 weeks at the two most popular shops. Probably gonna order it from Mechcables.
Pretty much set on getting the Ducky as soon as it releases, which should be any day now. ISO version is confirmed, so that's good.
Did you get a custom cable for your tipkovnica, Vapes?

I just use a standard sleeved micro usb for my keyboard, not a fan coiled cables in general, though they can look nice with keyboards.
Shit’s just not functional for me though.
