It didn't not work, so I guess that's something positive.

Very silly for him to say he put it behind him and is looking to the future, when he has to be on the straight and narrow for one year. If not he's in danger for prison time.

The Sonny Gray Special is 6 in 2 and a third, so just 1 run in 2 innings? Give him the Cy Young.
Yankees plated 7 runs, including a 3 run shot from Gary Sanchez. In the middle of it all, Aaron Judge very nearly killed a man.
Ball was clocked at 109.

Maybe today should have been a bullpen game.
Yankees grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Tanaka looked the gift horse right in the mouth and is giving it all back in the bottom half.

Cardinals losing today keeps the Dodgers in the wildcard game even if we lose today. I’m fucking losing the already thinning hairline that I have over this.
Yankees just trolled me hard.
Scored 3 runs in the top of the first, did jack shit 2 through 8. Trailed 8-3 entering ninth (thank you, Robertson, for giving up 4 in the 8th, you bum), and finally put together a rally. Score is 8-7, 2 on, 1 out....
2 pop-ups to end the game.

By CruzAzul Go To PostI wan’t to go back to 88.
Orel Hershiser can walk through that door.
Yankees have scored 4 in the first so far. If the pattern holds, they won't score again today until the game is all but decided.
By Moris Go To PostBaseball is dumb and should be hated.
Yankees are 2 games up on Oakland with 3 to play, and they own the tiebreaker. The magic number to host the play-in game is 1.
By Moris Go To PostFrankman, you planning on making the playoff thread?
You planning on making it? Lol
Fuck me man. Looks like wildcard our best shot
Yankees win, will host the play-in.
Also, Judge homered for the first time since July when he broke a bone in his wrist. And it happened to be team #264, to tie the Major League record.

The regular season is over but the National League done gone and hit the cray button.
LA and Colorado are tied in the West, and Milwaukee and Chicago are tied in the Central. They'll play tomorrow in LA and Chicago, respectively, to determine the division winners, and the losers will then meet in the wild card game. So, win once in the next (at most) two games and you're in the playoffs. One team will lose twice and be sent home, but at least they'll have 2 shots at it.

By CruzAzul Go To PostI like baseball again.
It's pretty cool sometimes.
Oh shoot I forgot about the playoff thread.
after the tiebreaker games are over I'll make the thread. Think it's complete BS to call scheduled tiebreakers "playoff games"

Playoffs start after the play-in games are done. 1 game isn't a damn playoff.
Hell, these 4 teams playing today are all in a better situation than the AL wild card teams. 3 out of the 4 NL teams will be in the real playoffs after this is all said and done, and they all have 2 shots at it. I like those odds better than what Oakland and New York will be doing on Wednesday.

Rizzo just killed one. Outfielders literally didn't bother to move, it was a no doubter off the bat. Tied 1-1 in the 5th.
Milwaukee jumps ahead in the 8th. 2-1, 2 on, 1 out.
Update: Now 3-1. Same situation.
Update: No more damage done. Caught Braun stealing, then a pop-up.

Milwaukee is your NL Central winner. Chicago to host the wild card play-in tomorrow against the LA-CO loser.
Why Cubs...

The Cubs would be the one team to get screwed in all this. If they don't win tomorrow, they'll have finished tied for the best record in the NL and won't even make the divisional round. I hate hate hate this wild card format, it's just horseshit. Either make it a real series or go back to 4 teams.
The only solace, again, is that they have 2 shots to get in (1 already down), and both in Chicago.
By Pac-12 Go To PostMuncy adds a 2 run homer in the 5th. 4-0.
Sucks working while this is going on. Keep running to the break room to catch it.
