By Lunatic Go To PostYea I wonder how they are going to do it this time with this part of the story being heavy on politics.they're breezing through chapters at this rate tbh. gonna be a few more eps of flashbacks and shit but this season's pace is already crazy
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostAttack of Titan is still a thing? It was much shorter and with setup the 3rd season well in the sense that we finally see the sociopolitical ramifications of the world they live in, as well as the underlying forces that push/pull at the world.
Was the second season any good?
The thing is, it JUST starts to to answer all the questions of the first season: Why do the Titans exist come from? Do they have a motive? What the fuck happened were humanity blockaded themselves behind the walls? How did humanity come to this? That train really gets going in the third (and fourth) season and from what I hear, it's a wild ride.
By Lunatic Go To PostYea I wonder how they are going to do it this time with this part of the story being heavy on politics.Character and story development is never a bad thing. Don't let anime like Tokyo Ghoul and and ANY variant of Sword Art Online say otherwise.
attack on politics isn't bad because its world building, its bad because its the first time they act like it matters and then its never relevant again lol
either way its a fun ride but im not gonna make excuses for it

The jump between Dark Tournament and Chapter Black practically feels like two different shows
Dark Tournament is an amazing Shonen arc and Chapter Black almost feels like a hip, modern OVA

Is MHA not big in Japan? Only saw the same two figures in the whole of Akihabara. Sadly neither were All Might.

By s y Go To PostSecond only to one piece iiircIsn't Haikyuu second most popular?
By Flutter Go To PostIsn't Haikyuu second most popular?I looked into manga sales. After One piece(which doubles second place), Attack on Titan seems to hold second place although not but a huge margin. After that, Haikyuu, MHA, Kingdom, 7 deadly sins and Tokyo Ghoul are all extremely similar in sales.
It isn't funny the amount of mercendise that One Piece and DB has.
Actually saw more AoT shit this time around than two years ago.
Basically every shops ground floor is made up of 75% OP, 15 % DB, 5% random school girl characters with guns for limbs, 5% everything else.

I thought DBZ was back to being more popular than One Piece again.
Or did Super ending flip it back towards One Piece.

By domino Go To PostI thought DBZ was back to being more popular than One Piece again.Dragonball, at it's peak, internationally has never been as popular as One Piece is, in Japan over the last 2 decades.

One piece outsold Batman last year iirc
By Apollo Go To PostOne Piece is insanely popular in Japanese but not really anywhere else.it's pretty popular in europe, especially france iirc.
By The Frankman Go To PostErrr… I'd say Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars more than Birdy, since it came earlier.what
By s y Go To PostwhatThe article you posted. Shingu used those art principles also and came earlier than Birdy The Mighty Decode.
I know because I watched both.

By s y Go To PostAnybody watching Banana Fish?yeah and i'm liking it a lot, more people should check it out, it doesn't seem very popular
By Laboured Go To PostReal shit
By s y Go To Postlol noLOL yes.
Does it use the concepts as much as Birdy: Decode. Nah, but other animation that came before it used those techniques. Just because it didn't cause a boom when it was used earlier doesn't mean those works didn't use them.
By The Frankman Go To PostLOL yes.Again, no.

Birdy was a digital webgen animation showcase(while is what the article is about).
Please tell me about Shingu.
...
ok you're intentionally being obtuse or you're trolling. I already stated what my point was earlier.

It's good but maybe i set my expectations too high
By rerixo Go To Postis it just a summary movie of fate stay night?
It's the third route in the VN.
So events play out a little differently
By s y Go To Postfell asleep a few times during this week's AoT.attack on politics
fortunately, they're breezing through a lot of this stuff. imagine months of this
By DY_nasty Go To Postattack on politicsi stopped reading because of it lol. got back in after i heard about what happens after though

By joefu Go To Posti stopped reading because of it lol. got back in after i heard about what happens after thoughsame.... i took about a year off and then caught up on everything after STUFF and THINGS happened.
i mean, its all a solid payoff but goddamn that pacing was awful. flashbacks in flashbacks about flashbacks foreshadowing other flashbacks*
*translators note: this is sometimes referred to as lore
yeah, waiting month after month for nothing to happened sucked. Was worth just stepping away and waiting for a backlog to read.
I guess a manga/anime post.
I was watching some Yugioh abridged on Sunday, then heard rhem mention season 0 and watched it. Fuck me, I didn’t realise there was an original yugioh anime and didn’t realise how fucking dark it was. Yami burning a dude alive.
Then read the anime and fucking hell I have been left speechless. Yami killed a few people by the end of volume.
Now I am reading Seto’s fucking death theme park for Yugi arc. Some of the darkest shit I have ever read. Seto really needs to get laid.

yugi and the boys don't give a fuck
Now I know why 4kids had to make this so family friendly lol.
Not sure I am gonna keep reading the manga, but at least gonna get as far as duelist kingdom.
