The new -40i engine sounds good. Hopes for the new M3/M4 engine to sound proper. But that exhaust crackle in this is just... not it.
My Michelin Pilot 4S' are going on tomorrow.
After doing some really fun and hard runs through a beautiful road leading up to a pretty large hill in Florida (the largest) against cars like the Audi R8 V10, GT3RS, 720S, AMG GTR, and 911 CarreraT, the biggest weakness of my car were the shitty tires which I've long hated. The diff was upset and the car kept fighting for traction through a number of the tighter stuff. Especially because my car has an enormous output of torque (over 500) at like 2000 RPM, where as the high-revving cars have a more accessible powerband down low with a lot less torque that builds, especially the GT3RS and V10 R8. Not to mention the traction advantages both cars have from AWD for the Audi, and having the engines out back or the middle.
All of the other cars were on Cup 2 tires (GT3RS & AMG GTR) or Michelin PS4s. I've had my Michelins sitting in the garage for a few weeks now and it's time to pop them on.
Really wish I had them on this past weekend though.
Rims on the 370Z will be next.

Lmao Mazda is just tired of customers asking/complaining about Apple Carplay being available to their cars.
Saw the Mclaren GT live, it really is really talking to me, but I'll wait for the 992 Turbo official unveiling before any decisions are made (along with a year long waiting list etc)

This is almost exact what B is for Build is doing. :|
And it's on an Aventador and not a Huracan.

Got the Cayman waxed, detailed, leather treated, and a couple touch ups done today. Interior looking fresh as hell again.
Bought an interior cleaning spray from Mcguire (sp?) along with some applicator pads and a microfiber mitt /w handle in order to help me reach the middle of the top of the gf's Mini (I'm short).
Washed the exterior of her car, but I will need to do a second pass soon to get it clean enough to a point I'm happy with. So much dirt. Also, found a bunch of teeny tiny nicks that probably need to be touched up sooner than later.

Anybody seen the new mid engine Vette?
Shit looks like another fake-joke car from Grand Theft Auto.

It looks more like a mid-engined Camaro than a Corvette, especially the rear. Not feeling this one bit. Lines are extremely generic, like something a 10 year old would draw. Absolutely uninspired angles.

Saw the new z4 in person today at the Costa drive thru. Pretty sexy in person. Guy had it in matte blue
So do German car batteries just die without warning?
Went to work yesterday and the battery was fine, went out for lunch and out of nowhere the lights inside flash for a bit but still start. Then going home the lights inside flash for a bit longer, but starts after a what felt like the longest couple of seconds in my life. Drove an hour home, turned it off for an hour and tried to start it again to no avail.
That was just random as hell lol. My Miata would at least let me know a few days out that I need to change the battery soon, this just went out practically without warning. Funny enough I work right next door to a VW dealer... I should've drove in the service bay last night and changed it on the spot instead of stressing for an hour trying to not to stall my car lmao.
Also, wtf is with these self regulating batteries or whatever? I spent like 2 hours last night researching about car batteries. 🤦♂️
From my research at least, while I can easily go pick up an Optima/Interstate battery and call it a day, apparently I need to reprogram the ECU or whatever to take in the bigger capacity as the ECU tells the alternator, among other things, that the battery is different and regulates it accordingly. I guess it's cool and all but man, even car batteries these days are getting complicated. I miss the days when all you had to worry about was if the new battery could fit in the battery tray lol.

Die? Probably not. They all mostly use the same battery suppliers I bet.
The reprogramming is real though. Cost me $400 at an independent BMW certified mechanic when I had to replace my M3 battery. The dealer wanted double iirc. And that was a 2008 model so they've been doing it for at least three generations now.

Jeez lol.
I did a bit more research and even talked to a VW parts guy and since mine is a base model aka no start/stop function, I can apparently just swap the battery with a stock/similar capacity and not worry about having to reprogram it.
But eh, I feel like it's a bit too risky so I just ended up getting an OBDEleven and a cheap ass ZTE Android phone to reprogram the new battery I'm picking up later today.

That might explain why the start/stop function never worked on my Focus. Must've had a new battery before I got it.
^^^ That just sounds like somebody pulled the fuse for that. They're very easy to find and disable.
And yes, German car batteries do just randomly give out. British too. My wife's Audi A4 back in the day randomly didn't want to start as she's trying to leave work. She kept cranking it and it finally turned over and she drove it to the dealership and left it overnight. No warning it was going to die.
My black Jag XKR did it too a few years ago. Went to the dealer for maintenance, car started okay...crank was a little slow, but not too bad. Pulled up there, shut it off and when they went to move it...dead. No crank. Battery was flat. Luckily Jaguar covers all batteries they install for 27 months, so it was free.

A buddy of mine bought a red Colorado and that thing actually looks pretty good in person. I like it much more than the bigger Silverado.

Ewww
This is what I want ... lol. Blacked out red truck with the new 1/2 ton diesel.
By Fenderputty Go To PostKibner please. Long beds are only good for campers and hauling dirt lolDo you remember where I grew up? lol
I also had a camper shell on my F-150 in high school and college. And hauled lots of furniture and other things with it. It got a lot of use.

Looks off. Long bed ftw
Jesus Christ you car advocates have terrible taste in trucks lol
If it's not an F350, carrying a camper, a company work truck or a secondary weekend beater from the 90's for utility, then a long bed should be nowhere near a truck.

Trucks for nothing but practical purposes only, went out the window the moment they started charging 70k for a F150 Platinum. I’m in Texas breh . The truck game is no joke.
yeah I’m in Cali. More porches are sold here than anywhere in the world. Doesn’t mean I know fuck all about em lol
By Kibner Go To PostI don't like big trucks that have a bed shorter than the cab. They look hideous to me.
Fucksake now it bothers me, too. Like it's a chode version of a proper truck.
You have to order long beds around here haha
The one thing I’ve never really been into is lowered trucks. I’m not a huge fan of most lift jobs either though.
Edit: I’m actually torn on what I want ... I like the f150 and ram too.

Used to do a lot of home improvement and yard work on the weekends plus you need one if you want to launch your ski or boat. Probably going to need one by the time I am 40.
By KRaZyAmmo Go To PostSpeaking of trucksI think I like that red one.
