Legion. A+ perfection. The wheelchair in David's memory, the black board animation and his rational mind.. Jemaine Clement.

By reilo Go To PostBillions is great.Just watched the first three episodes of season 2. I enjoyed season one but this one doesn't seem to have the same stakes yet. Axe has been marginalized a bit and I don't care about his dick swinging side story against the other firm.
I do think Taylor is interesting. And I also don't mind Wendy going out on her own.
However, I do not like the cartoon character the DOJ have introduced to investigate Chuck. He's lame and says ridiculous shit that makes me laugh. In fact the dialog for many of the characters has been way over the top and off putting. People don't talk like that! It's not like the West Wing where you could claim that people don't talk that fast. Billions literally has people talking in metaphors to sound like they're intellectually superior. It's ridiculous.
I'm going to stick with because I do like the actors and I am interested where it's all going. Already renewed for season three as well.

Celebrity Apprentice is on at work
It seems utterly bizarre
Trump in the main seat. Dennis Rodman with a giant blonde mohawk and bright purple eyeliner. Joan Rivers doing a skit with the big one from Penn&Teller before he starts playing the bass in a band performance with some country and Western jebend. Gary Busey.
Looks like a car crash of personalities

Just watched the first episode of the new Samurai Jack
This is everything I could've expected and more. The more mature tone fits it perfectly(even though the OG managed to be mature as well) while still retaining all the charm and comedy of the original. Right from the jump episode they're not holding anything back, they're beating up babies! It also goes without saying if you've seen any promo material, it is STUNNING, great animation and art. The colors and lighting are brilliant.
I feel so bad for Jack ;(

100%!
I be out here with my jaw dropped after so many episodes in Season 4, I'm a few episodes behind but HOLY shit that show is good.
If you love character driven plots then this is simply a MUST watch.

Stick with it, it's starting to ramp up. But very valid points but I disagree some/alot of people do talk like that, especially in that industry. I'm not kidding in the slightest, if anything I think they've under cooked it.

Just give every acting award for TV to Jessica Lange. She and Susan Sarandon were phenomenal on Feud.
If you have any love about the history of Hollywood, you need to watch it.
Great season, definitely my favourite show this year.

The Writer's Guild of America voted yesterday to authorize a strike. Studios and the union now have one week to negotiate a deal or the writers will stop working on the 2nd of May.
Only good thing that come out of the last strike was Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog.

By blackace Go To PostA weak first season will do that to you..
True but work through it. The difference in quality between season 1-4 is incredible, like it's worth it for season 4 alone imo.
But holy shit, my concerns with season 2 of billions is being quashed, the development of chuck is one of my favorites since maybe Limon in Narcos.
Anybody else watching the new MST3K?
Pretty good. I like Jonah Ray a lot but the voices of Crow and Tony Servo (especially Servo) are distractingly different.
Their voices also aren't distinct enough so it's hard to tell who's talking during the movies.

By reilo Go To PostYeah. This is looking really good. I hope they have filmed all episodes already or are close to it because that Writers strike is looking very likely.

Niice.
Got to reading about half of the book but stopped because I'm lazy. Did like what I read tho.
The book is one of Gaiman's best concepts but the execution is subpar. I remember it being a chore to get through.

Good to hear that it appears to be quality. I was probably in solely because of McShane anyways.
Also: enjoying the new Fargo so far. David Thewlis needs to be in more stuff.

4 episodes into iron fist and I don't see what the problem is--I'm having a lot of fun with it
There's some cheese for sure, but I'm really intrigued by some of the fukkery

it's too bad I read the audiobook just six months ago
found it to be a boring read, a visual introduction would have been much better
Making my way through this last season of It's always Sunny and I just watched "PTSDee".
Whew that was some incredibly fucked up shit by Dee

Finally watching Preacher. Huge fan of the comic so I have high standards for the show.
It's pretty damn great, especially the casting. Getting Ruth Negga was a coup. Steals every scene she's in.

Shows been slipping hard for years but it's still entertaining.
I've been into the stupidest show on Fox recently called Making History. It's so dumb but it's fun dumb. I really like Adam Pally in almost everything.

Guys, please watch Samurai Jack. It's incredible. Might be the best season of an animated show ever. Fuck it, it's an amazing season period. Genndy is a gawd. I think the A.V. Club is pretty respected?(I don't even read them) but every episode has been received very well. I don't think you even have needed to have watched the previous 4 seasons either. It's really good on it's own, season 4 last aired in 2004 and it doesn't rely much on the plot from the previous 4 seasons as it takes place 50 years later.
And Visually? this is some of the best art I've ever seen. I saw Red Turtle the other day and I didn't think I'd be so impressed so soon. Which is crazy coming from a television budget.

By KingGondo Go To PostFinally watching Preacher. Huge fan of the comic so I have high standards for the show.Check out American Gods. I actually think its better at capturing that same Magic but eeriness flavor that Preacher has. Add to that Neil Gaiman's wrote the book its based on. Amazing casting and the creator made Hannibal and Pushing up Daisies. Just be warned it is even more r Rated than Preacher. Don't watch it with Children.

This season has been perfect. I have it up there with Batman the Animated series in regards to American Animation. Stylish, mature, and intelligent. I do think people should watch like 6 old episode to fully grasp the plot (and maybe 12 to enjoy all the major easter eggs) but if anyone asks I will tell them the episodes they would need to see
waiting for samurai jack to finish before i binge watch it. one of my favourite shows when i was young
