Same sensors as Pixel 2.
Same size as the Pixel 2 XL.
Only two cameras.
Smh
By Kidjr Go To PostPixel used to be such a sensational phoneBut nobody was buying them. Pixel 3 and 4 sales were pretty miserable and it's hard to blame people when they were near flagship prices for not flagship experiences. I've enjoyed my Pixel 4, but couldn't recommend anybody pay full price for it.
What I'm saying is bring back the Nexus.

No one bought because Google doesn't have a vision for this phone. Budget? Midrange? Premium? Premium prices for midrange specs?
Like, how hard is it to have midrange phone for those who want and a premium flagship phone with flagship specs?
A Pixel with Samsung-level hardware and stock Android would be perfect.
:/
Google should just focus on making great budget phones like the 3/4a
The premium phones aren't $400+ better than the $250 variants.

Blasphemy
Honestly, Google made Nexus phones was probably the play, but they wanted to finally have a phone they could say matched the iPhone. Since then, it seems like they just don't quite care about mobile anymore
The first Apple device to feature a Mini-LED display will be a new iPad Pro, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted in a new research note seen by MacRumors and AppleInsider. Kuo reports that Mini-LED display components will be mass-produced in the fourth quarter of this year, though it’s unclear when the new iPad Pro could actually release. Last year, Kuo predicted a third-quarter 2020 launch for the new iPad Pro with improved display technology. Apple last updated its iPad Pro lineup back in March.
Apple has long been rumored to be developing six devices with the new display technology, which offers similar benefits to OLED — like localized dimming for deeper blacks and higher contrast — without the downside of burn-in. It does this by using an array of thousands of tiny LEDs as a backlight, which can be turned on and off individually to offer a sharper contrast between bright and dark areas of an image.
Release dates aside, Kuo recently said that Apple is accelerating its adoption of the new display tech. Apple reportedly now has more Mini-LED suppliers to choose from, pushing down prices. Kuo predicts that 30-40 percent of iPads shipped in 2021 will feature the new display tech, alongside 20-30 percent of MacBooks.Mini-LED with no burn-in on a real device? Yes please. Hopefully that will kickstart others from utilizing such a panel for mass adoption.

maybe just lucky.

Amazon unveils flying Ring security camera
The new Always Home Cam is an autonomous drone that can fly around inside your home to give you a perspective of any room you want when you’re not home. Once it’s done flying, the Always Home Cam returns to its dock to charge its battery.
The Always Home Cam is fully autonomous, but owners can tell it what path it can take and where it can go. When you first get the device, you build a map of your home for it to follow, which allows you to ask it for specific viewpoints such as the kitchen or bedroom. The drone can be commanded to fly on demand or programmed to fly when a disturbance is detected by a linked Ring Alarm system.
The charging dock blocks the camera’s view and the camera only records when it is in flight. Ring says the drone makes an audible noise when flying so it is obvious when footage is being recorded.
Here’s a (unfortunately silent) promotional video of the Always Home Cam in action. Video courtesy Ring
Ring says the camera can be used for simple things like checking if a stove was left on or a window left open, or if a door is locked when you’re away from the home. It features obstacle avoidance technology to allow it to avoid objects in its path and its shrouded propellers prevent damage to property or hurting a pet or person that might collide with the drone.
Imagine letting Amazon put a surveillance drone in your fucking house

By Kabro Go To Postholy shit, can you not upgrade 2019 macbook pro ram and SSD as they are soldered in?Haven’t been able to upgrade ram in a MacBook since around 2013
This isn't really an Apple products thing these days as its pretty common for higher end thin and light devices to have soldered RAM, storage or both.
They do have excuses for RAM (DIMM's dont come in LPDDR) and storage (some security implications) but yeah they are pretty flimsy.

We just had an announcement for a new Pixel with old hardware, so a new phone with new hardware should be exciting by default.
Is this the year where we’ll get USB-C on iPhones?
Who am I kidding, we’re not getting shit. A man can dream.
Who am I kidding, we’re not getting shit. A man can dream.
No, probably not USB-C yet. I imagine next year since they are rumored to be including a USB-C to Lightning charging cable. Not sure what the rational is.
Yeah, I’m guessing iPhone 12 will be 5G focus with a new form factor. 2021 iPhone will be an iPhone 12S or iPhone 14 (I think they’ll skip the iPhone 13 name) with USB-C and the same new form factor.
I don’t know why they don’t just switch over already. It’s weird having an iPad Pro with USB-C and not being able to use the same wire to charge my iPhone.

By reilo Go To PostNext iPhone event is October 13th, dubbed "Hi, Speed", which most likely is referring to 5G.
Corona phones. no thanks.
By reilo Go To PostI wonder if it's because they are trying to deplete their stock of Lightning hardware first.I wouldn’t be surprised, there’s millions of those damn wires.

Updated mine this morning and noticed it tapped out at 1080p in YT.

The Spotify desktop app is such fucking dogshit I hate it so much. Slow, often unresponsive, etc etc.
Had the X since launch, so about time to upgrade.
Looking forward to trying 5g.
Really wish it had usb c.
