This is amazing.
By Kibner Go To PostYeah, I have some friends in the teaching business and they have been terrified about this for several years now. Dwindling pay, onerous teaching restrictions, exponentially more paperwork, significantly more hours required to get everything done that needs to be done, no support for supplies, etc.Even Texas is like wait no

So there are people out there who saw her, assessed her character and thought, yes, this person represents my views.

Like the article points out, they're trying a lot of things like signing bonuses, raises, lower the requirements, but it's tough to find good teachers when the work is so difficult and thankless. (I imagine it's compounded by the fact that they give new teachers the worst assignments.) The strong likelihood is that they just don't find people and the classes are covered by unqualified subs and college kids.
this is fine

Over here in Ontario we have a crisis of overworked and understaffed nurses at the moment.
From what I've read and see, public school teachers get paid more here than in the US and are generally a well respected profession. Prior to COVID, people who work as teachers told me how difficult it is to even break into the profession full-time due to the demand out there for these positions. I wonder how it is now.
By Old King Rob Go To PostWell I completely missed thathappens to the best of us

Kinda split on it but at the same time, its a better solution than just stacking classrooms on top of each other
By that logic you could just claim to be a conspiracy theorist and you'd essentially have diplomatic immunity
