Big Knicks vibes then
Loss Angeles has stepped up their efforts by adding the no. 22 pick to a deal that’d include Montrezl Harrell, and Kyle Kuzma or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Hield to L.A. now has real traction, which would give the Lakers what they need: shooting.

The stupidity of people posting the most horrid shit and then having it bite them in the ass like 2 years later will never get old. Everyone is a dumbass.

Just heard Cade talk for the first time. Motherfucker sounds 40. How is he 19? I’m so old and pathetic brehs
Excited for my first draft. Of all the YouTubes I’ve watched, I think Mobley looks insanely good. I like Mitchell and Barnes too.

You need a big, but Kai Jones is the only one you could really draft that high. How do you like him?
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostYou need a big, but Kai Jones is the only one you could really draft that high. How do you like him?I liked Kai at first but every workout teams so to get more and more distant on him. Deanondraft or whatever basically said the guy can't play 5 - his defense is just that goofy. And I'm like.... fuck lol
we need a center bad, true, but reaching for Jackson is no good and I'd be shocked if we took Sengun even though I like him a lot. We probably go for a guard or wing because we're inevitably going to lose graham/monk/rozier and the twins are dookie. Mitch is probably gonna spend on a big in FA and we'll go all second round on bigs again.
mobley should honestly be going number 1--very similar draft profile to anthony davis
cade is good but his handle is mid and he's kinda slow. tatum is a better comp than the luka talk.

And I'm like…. fuck lolFrom what I remember, Kai Jones is one of those guys that is so inexperienced and just doesn't know how to play basketball. Incredible athlete, but a risky project because you are depending on him to actually learn how to play at a high level. Even if he improves by leaps and bounds every year, he may not be ready for a starting job until his second contract. That takes a lot of value out of picking him high.

Yeah and he always came off as just a bigger John Collins anyways. May as well just pay for the finished product and skip the development years...
There's better high risk guys in this draft too.

I'd definitely go Sengun if I'm the Hornets.
Listening to his podcast as I eat breakfast lol. They doing a kind of deep dive on the Pelicans. Hearing some names I haven't heard connected to them in a bit--Omer Asik, Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon lol. A lot of speculation about if they are repeating the AD situation again and if Zion might not sign the rookie extension. IDK, that whole narrative seems to be trying to be willed into reality by the media at this point, but I doubt it happens.

Mobley Allen frontcourt will be tough. Possibly the best defensive front court in the league pretty fast.

or we trade back and take Jackson ofc lol…
I don’t follow draft or draft prospects but all I’ve been hearing all year is how this class has a lot of potential, so who wouldn’t want to move up in the lottery?
Probably the only lottery team that isn’t trying to move up is GS and that’s because it’s better to move that pick for a good, important role player than having two young players wasting the last year or two you have of your core.
I just don’t get this nonsense reporting. A lot of teams want to make a lot of moves, but a lot of teams don’t have any assets to make moves so why even report it when it has minimal chance of happening
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI'd definitely go Sengun if I'm the Hornets.Yeah, the writer who wrote the article they are referencing got blasted on Twitter yesterday for how off-base it was. To the point that he was blocking people who politely disagreed with him and locked comments on his article. lol

Differences:
- different ownership (Gayle runs the team different than Tom did because she cares about it more and is the reason Tom bought the team in the first place)
- already have a similarly-aged All-Star 2nd option in Ingram
- own all their current and future first round picks
- have extra first round picks in addition to their own
- don't have to waste assets to fill a position the star player is best at because they are unwilling to play it
- star is a fantastic playmaker, so don't have to waste assets to get someone to set them up all the time
Similarities:
- The team is located in New Orleans, LA
- Zion's circle is putting the same pressure on the team after year 2 as AD's after year 5
---
Reminder of how much a crapshoot the draft can be:
By aka Espi Go To PostI don’t follow draft or draft prospects but all I’ve been hearing all year is how this class has a lot of potential, so who wouldn’t want to move up in the lottery?Another thing is that this is a really good class - it's just incredibly hard to scout effectively with so many variables this time around. We shit on Randle for being an empty gym sniper - but the same could be said about a lot of these guys who shot well this season. We talk about defensive impacts, but it's not like offenses were fine tuned machines this year. It's easy to see guys who have the tools to be solid players but exactly how good is the biggest hurdle this draft.

I don't think a lot of teams are as confident in their scouting as they are in second hand reporting too.
Hardest one to get a handle on is Kuminga. He looks the part and is young but wasn’t good in the G league but then again it was a bubble thing with only 13 games so not much to really base it on. If he falls to 10 I think I would be ok with the Grizzlies taking the swing and see what happens.
get hyped knux

By Kibner Go To PostReminder of how much a crapshoot the draft can be:I wonder what the explanation for the 2nd pick curse is... Darko, Thabeet, Bagley, etc. The franchise core curve is extremely smooth otherwise so there must be something about having the 2nd pick that causes teams to make bonehead picks more often than otherwise.

Jalen Johnson is apparently bombing interviews and people wonder why dude jumped around hs and then basically bailed on Duke.
