I enjoyed watching Happy Death Day and the sequel today. First one definitely the better one (the villain in the second was stupid + the sequel set-up was a bit stupid) but I would like to see Hap3 Death Day get made.

Finally watched Tenet. I liked it a lot until the last... third or so? After that was it was merely okay. Was more into it until it became Call of Duty: Future Ops. Still better than Interstellar. Laughing at the people who found it too incomprehensible because lol. The characters spell literally everything out the entire step of the film.

Saw Nomadland today and have...feelings on it. It's a beautifully shot film and McDormand gives a very naturalistic performance. I can see what the film is trying to say but it just didn't work for me narratively. Not sure I can explain further really, lol
Maybe it's a film that will grow on me.

I rewatched The Descent yesterday. It were tops.
Then I rewatched The Descent Part II, which is just a thoroughly bizarre sequel.

What are you, human or something?

I’m watching Kim’s Convenience atm. Always think the city looks nice in the little stock footage bits they show.
By n8 dogg Go To PostI’m watching Kim’s Convenience atm. Always think the city looks nice in the little stock footage bits they show.Parts of it are very nice especially the neighbourhoods around the cusp of downtown. The neighbourhoods themselves are very distinct - like The Beaches and Roncesvalles is still the same city.
So I watched this British indie film called I’m Not in Love
Fucking hell, the main character is carbon copy of me and the movie kind of hit hard because I have experienced 60% of what the main character is going through
I really didn’t like how the main character buckled down to the social pressure and just became meek
I may have strong opinions on things but I hate when people put pressure on me because of my beliefs and morals

Just finished 'Can't get you out of my head' a history of the modern world by Adam Curtis.
What a trip!
Having watched a lot of his films, the patterns of the turns of the chapters are some what of a formula now. But everyone has a style. My only real complaint is that this could have been 3 different films and is not as focused as Hypernormaliston.
His music choices, are brilliant. A song for Zulu by Phosperous. What a track!

By Laboured Go To PostVery disappointed I was hoping we’d get some Trump stuff in this new one. Maybe it’ll be in the final film.

But I don't want to be the one to burst anyone's Rayndian dreams of finding happiness under a corporations thumb.

if it was Amazon propaganda then it was shitty propaganda.
Renaissance literally means rebirth fam
Pugh needs a Dark Age for there to be a Pughnaissance. That’s why the McConnaisance was a thing. Ghosts of Girlfriend Past was the nadir of civilisation.
