By FortuneFaded Go To PostAre the prequels any good? The Star Wars ones?
Not really, pretty bad.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostAre the prequels any good?no
By FortuneFaded Go To PostAre the prequels any good?Great world building. Terrible acting and directing for dialogue. Wild story layers happening.
The first one is basically about a trade and taxation dispute resulting in war and a sophisticated coup.
Would recommend just for the audacity of Lucas. But they are not good movies
Bad movies. Absolutely worth a watch though
It's fun to try to discern what the hell George Lucas actually cares about and what he doesn't give a shit about, because it's really really hard to tell

By FortuneFaded Go To PostLads, I was calling the Matrix trilogy the prequels.Get out and think about what you've done.
looks like a dud.
at least the original had its own visual identity. this looks like it could be any other blockbuster.

Keanu should have just cut his hair, he isn't a good enough actor to convince me it isn't just John Wick Matrix
By Willkiller Go To PostKeanu should have just cut his hair, he isn't a good enough actor to convince me it isn't just John Wick MatrixI mean isnt that exactly what he is?
By data Go To PostI mean isnt that exactly what he is?
Well yeah, but that's why the hair makes such a huge difference. At least make him look like Neo if he can't act like it
Teasers were more exciting than the trailer. I don't know who the people are who are cutting trailers, but I feel they are doing a worse job than 20 years ago. Even if not using "Trailer Voice Guy" is an improvement.
It's probably a tough trailer to make for modern audiences who are now more sophisticated and have resources to breakdown an figure stuff out well in advance.
By Daz Go To PostIt's probably a tough trailer to make for modern audiences who are now more sophisticated and have resources to breakdown an figure stuff out well in advance.I feel like a lot of movie trailers these days tend to show too much.
Whenever it's giving major points away or showing stuff that would be far better as a surprise.
I'll give Lana the benefit of the doubt. The premise is at least something interesting and a different way of going back to the world of the Matrix. Expectation levels are in check for this.

i always think of what zemeckis said about it:
“We know from studying the marketing of movies, people really want to know exactly every thing that they are going to see before they go see the movie. It’s just one of those things. To me, being a movie lover and film student and a film scholar and a director, I don’t. What I relate it to is McDonald’s. The reason McDonald’s is a tremendous success is that you don’t have any surprises. You know exactly what it is going to taste like. Everybody knows the menu.”

Trinity was very much dead at the end of Revolutions. I just want to know what fuckery is behind this.
I don't like the new aesthetics and giving neo powers to Trinity... No. Or maybe now everybody can crack the code... No. The whole Neo on blue pills diet could be fun though.

Carrie Anne looking good still.

This is what I want tho lol

The issue isn’t that people need to see the whole movie before they see the movie, the problem is that it seems whoever was making movie trailers back in the day either retired or died and the newcomers really have no idea how to sell a product
Considering it can cost around $20 per ticket to go see a movie depending on where you live, your trailer better do a good job of promoting that movie.
It seems like it's going back to the first movie. The scenes of the first movie playing is quite interesting.
I saw the trailer for Halloween Kills in the theatre and it killed all hype to go see it.
I think I saw every kill Michael does and almost how it ended aswell, complete fuck up.

By Laboured Go To PostIdk maybe made a new one? That's what I'm thinking too. The Machines downloaded her consciousness to the Matrix before she died and then made a copy of her body. Or this is just an extra layer of the Matrix and they're using a fake to control Neo again.
By Laboured Go To PostIdk maybe made a new one?she 'died' in the machine city - the recovered her body plugged her back in - she too becomes an anomaly hence the abilities.
By Old King Rob Go To PostEndgame showed literally nothing outside of the first 5 minutes and became the biggest movie of all timeYes, marketing a movie that was a sequel to a 2.1B$ movie that had a cliffhanger ending is an hard task.

By Daz Go To Postresidual self image is fucked
Maybe Neo is the only one who sees her as Trinity considering Neo is an old white man:
