The more I see the penalty the smaller it looks. But Bjelland is a clown for even giving the ref the chance
Allow me to be the drinker of hopium lads
Winning a European quarter final against a really well drilled side - the Burnley of Scandanavia I reckon - with two homegrown teenagers in the side (playing out of their favoured position no less) with a lot of pressure on us to run up a cricket score simply because of who we are and because lol danish football (wooden i respecct you) is still good fun. Hit the post twice, offside goal, and into our third semi final of the season. Up the fucking ole bus m8

Also if only Daramy had dived when he was kicked by Obi Wan Bisakka. Oh well. Wouldn't ever have imagined this failed team in a quarter finale.,..

Thought klubbenhubben were good fun tonight. Good battlers, good organisation. Great keeper.
Ole’s subs rile me still. Rashford was dogshit all night, should have made the switch much earlier.

There you go.

Wait Sancho deal is off?
Why would BVB release that tweet if it's still possible?
They would look like amateurs if United still get him lol

We had 14 shots on target, Sancho wouldnt have made a difference, that GK was having one of those nights.

United didn't go for it and there's a reason that Dortmund set up the "deadline", because you'll always have to negotiate with a replacement and they're not gonna be able to hold them, if Woodward decides to pay up on the last day.
The big twist today was that Sancho actually extended his contract last year until 2023. That wasn't made public, so there's like zero reason to sell him. Would actually alot more sense to keep him and see what the next summer break offers. Euros, other clubs being able to make a deal etc.
No one else going to give BVB anything close to that valuation for the player -
On top of which he wants to go - I dont see the point of keeping him and leaving 100+ million on the table.
Idiot circus all round.

By Daz Go To PostNo one else going to give BVB anything close to that valuation for the player -That's less than we've got for Dembele, while Sancho got the far better stats. This year there is no one else for sure, but there's always another year ahead.

We don't need the money. We rather need a player that helps us.

Look, if you are negotiating against an idiot like Woodward, who always caves at the last minute or even pays more, you'd push him around too.
If we don’t get him, then Solskjaer should be fuming imo. Done all that could have been asked of him this year, has proven he can be trusted to get results from the money spent.
Liking how we've handled our first transfer of the season. Couldn't get Lewis for the price we wanted, so just snapped up our next target in a matter of days.

OGS wanted Sancho badly, but Woodward is not really following up.
And since someone mentioned it earlier today.
There is no such thing as a transfer request in Germany. It doesn't exist and it's all up to the clubs.
Final question on Pointless today was name tracks off Physical Graffiti. What a fucking album that is. I'd even say Kashmir is one of the weaker songs on it.

This year there is no one else for sure, but there's always another year ahead.I dont doubt that, and you'd be fools not to try and rinse Woodward, but its a tad fool-hardy to hold for next year that a club wiill come with a hundred million bags in an uncertain post-covid environment.

It's probably not even Woodward holding things up. This is cut from a piece the Athletic did a few months ago. Joel Glazer has final say over everything. I especially don't like the final line about his oversight on scouting and analytics.
Elsewhere at the club, one insider describes an expenses system attuned to the bottom line, saying it can take weeks “jumping through all the hoops” just to get £10 back.
An agent says this approach has seeped into the football side, with chief negotiator Matt Judge, who worked with Woodward at JP Morgan, allowed minimal latitude: “The Glazers micro-manage everything. That’s why it all takes so long to sign players or offer new contracts. It’s no coincidence numerous players have got down to the final year of their deals. It goes from Matt to Ed to Joel to Ed to Matt. It’s excruciating. And in that time, Liverpool have signed a player.”
United, however, believe it is better to carefully consider the right player rather than rush in and Joel’s interest in the analytics of the scouting system provides balance.

A left back and a new keeper also please. Without that Chelsea wont be a serious team still. Also somewhat need a new CB, but Ampadu could get his chance.
By Daz Go To PostI dont doubt that, and you'd be fools not to try and rinse Woodward, but its a tad fool-hardy to hold for next year that a team with come with a hundred million bags in an uncertain post-covid environment.Nah. Those 100m would mean you lose a shitload to taxes, it would mean losing one of your best players while you get one or two new players that might be able to get close to the numbers that Sancho is pulling, but it's pretty unlikely.
Money isn't the driving factor, because even with Rona we're debt free, got our new kit sponsor deal and we can easily take a credit.
There surely is a point where the managment is gonna say yes, but everything else has to work out. A replacement, the way everything is paid etc. etc. We already started our pre-season now, so it would be even worse to make a deal in October.

Me too. Christensen should be sold if he still got an ok name anywhere in Germany. Seems like a lot to ask though... But I can hope.

Surprised Marcus Thuram hasn't been linked to an PL side. He's fucking massive and can play well across the frontline.
Memphis is probably too good for Ligue 1 now as well.

Should have gone for Upamecano. Dude is a tank.
Also Klostermann from Leipzig since he can play both LB/RB and CB. Would be a great depth player.

Supposedly Depay was among our Sancho replacements. Aside from Torres who went to City and who didn't really convince the managment either.

This seasons joint top scorer in the Danish league is Kamil Wilzcek. He only played half a season for Brøndby, making the 17 goals even more impressive, and then went to Turkey. A huge fan favorite, and their captain. During his time in Turkey he bought 5 'support' shirts for Brøndby saying 'never alone', to support them financially during Corona. A fan thing. And despite leaving he was even on the front cover of a Brøndby book that just released.
He was announced last week for Copenhagen after the Istanbul match... 💀 Brøndby fans have met up at their stadium to burn shirts with his name on, and two (!!!) parliament members, one even a minister, has called him out on twitter, one even liking a tweet calling him 'a polish whore'. Next season is going to be crazy. We got around 10k fans in both Brøndby and Copenhagens stadiums atm, and will probably continue with that next season. Could see that going way off the rails when we have a match against them already in the second match of the season.
Personally I am not a fan. We had a Brøndby forward once and he was known as 'number 32' forever as no one wanted to chant his name. But if he gives us a league title like number 32 once did... sure.
