By Freewheelin Go To PostJust void this season. let Liverpool have their long-awaited PL title and Arsenal back in the CL, and that will be good enough for me.Agreed.
By Cleff Go To PostAlso this is jokes.I’m amazed they ran another piece like this after all the shit they got from using the “anonymous PL exec” source last time.
Edit: Also, can someone explain to me why so many people seem to think null and void is a much fairer option than ppg or as it stands? I appreciate there’s no perfect solution here, but surely in the event the season can’t continue, you’d want it all to count for at least something, otherwise the tv companies and season ticket holders would have a field day in the courts.
Because it's equal basically, even though a lot of teams would be rewarded despite being shit, and others would be fucked despite being good.
Only somewhat fair method I can think of in the event of the season not continuing is to just take the results from the first 19 games, adjusted to include every opponent if you know what I mean. Even then you'd be at the mercy of the way your fixtures fell in terms of home and away matches.

That's the conundrum innit
The only outcome where everyone is treated equally by every objective measure is the least fair. Clubs that should be relegated will stay up, clubs that should go up will stay down, and Arsenal will be in the Champions League.
Surely the most fair system is to just take the current standings, with a slight adjustment for games in hand.

Yes and no.
WARNING: SERIOUS SPOILERS BELOW
It looks like those weird ghost things exist purely to keep everything playing out as it did in the original game, and Sephiroth seems to be trying to control them. It’s sort of a reimagining/sequel to the 1997 game, rather than an out and out remake.
By Cleff Go To PostSpoilers? You can actually see what's going on now with proper polygons.

By Yurt :3 Go To PostCarlo Ancelotti ‘today’s players can physically recover in 15 days’.This. There’s going to be problems no matter how you do it.
there's no fair system
I’d just not rather align myself with a solution that benefits the likes of Brady, Levy and Kronke above all others.

IMO, I'd play out the current season when possible, delay the next one and shorten it. Same for CL and EL.
I'd even delay the Euros to 2022 to give players more rest.
At best COVID-19 will be seasonal, meaning a second wave in November time will just shut down next season anyway, or it won't be seasonal but the world will still be stuck in a cycle of lockdowns and opening for the next twelve months. Everything I've seen from sports seems to make the assumption that starting the next season is really important, as though they'll get to just complete as normal.
The fairest system is to give the league title to whoever beat the current champions most recently with a McTominay goal.

Plan in Portugal is to start playing games at end of May and have the league finish in the end of July.
Because we don't have teams playing in the first rounds of European qualification, we have until the 3rd of August to deliver the list to UEFA.

They used to decide drawn European games by toss of a coin…

By Feorax Go To PostDaily Mail have the same story. They say Henderson has been in contact with the captain's of other PL clubs and has received encouraging responses.

By Laboured Go To PostIt's almost as if the truth is 90%+ of all presenters, actors & pop singers are where they are in life because of how good looking they are as much as it has to do with how much 'talent' they have.
Yet anybody that even hints at this gets lambasted, it's like a real life version of the emperor's new clothes fable.
