By Hixx Go To PostEh, the two prats who run the club are fair game. Even we hate one of them and dislike the other.

Mugged himself which is why people turned sour on him.
If he had £3-4m to spend that window... there's no excuse for not strengthening the squad better than 1 Will Grigg.

Aye he has a shocker no doubt.
Bloke in the first episode speaking to O'Nien about signing the seat 'in case he makes it' after he'd already played over 100 football league games creased me too.
^
Agnelli already said he would refuse the title if it was decided on the current standings
it tastes different, no thnx. we don't need more titles with an asterisk

Could potentially have a big impact on the outcome that. Suspect a lot of leagues would prefer to go with “as it stands” rather than “null and void” if they got to keep the majority of their tv deals and European places, no matter how unfair it ultimately is.

Yeah his other tweet I didn't post notes that UEFA has hinted that countries that void their seasons may not be able to have CL/EL representation next season if other countries do get round to resolving the season.
For me personally I hope the Eredivisie would just wipe out this season and hand out the European tickets based on current standings. Getting another league title like this would be crazy.
Only thing is, how do we deal with promotion/relegation. I could see a season with 20 clubs as an exception, instead of the usual 18.

Think the only way to do it is expanding top leagues for a season.
Be all sorts of court action otherwise.

Well if we're not going to play matches anymore and the UEFA stands on appointing a league winner there's not much choice is there? It's the normal way of deciding who wins the league anyways. We once missed out on the title by literally 1 goal difference after 34 games. That shit happens. But obviously we wouldn't want a tainted title. Nor would the KNVB hopefully.
But it is vital we get our CL money.
Can't do that in leagues with big clubs because they will sue their federations into oblivion. At the very least there will have to be play offs for CL spots.
In the PL I can see clubs agreeing to Liverpool as champion and then let the other eight battle for CL.

There are no qualified candidates for European football when the league remains unfinished.

Finish the 19/20 season first thing when that can be done safely, then decide what the 20/21 season will look like.
Or fuck it all cause shareholders am I right. Fair play my ass.
what if we delay the start of next season(s) and keep it that way forever
we're already gonna be fucked by Qatar's world cup anyway

I wouldn't mind just finishing this season whenever the possibility is there and then looking at our options. But it's just not very likely considering all that's at stake.
Afternoon, lads. Hope you and your families are keeping well. Stay safe, everyone. 😀

KdB was talking today about needing a 3-4 week mini-pre season when games start back up. Especially if they're playing 3 games a week.
I actually don't majorly disagree with the PFA on this. Fucking joke that the CEOs and billionaire club owners aren't willing to take a cut on anything at all but the players AND other staff are whilst also asking tax payers to pay for many of their staff on furlough. Fucking outrageous that this is being solely placed at the players' feet. Hope club earnings get lumped with a big fuck off windfall tax.
Their stance is understandable in the circumstances. And footballers are always an easy scapegoat. Just feels like they'd piss away a lot of goodwill from ppl

Yeah sure but if footballers then why not every employed high net worth individual in the country? Why is it only working class kids with new money are getting pressed upon by MPs to do this?
We all know the answer of course.
I'd like to think that all the different FAs and footballing organizations will learn from this and draw up a plan of action if this type of thing happens again but...
id say use the time that was supposed to be next season to finish any remaining leagues and competititions instead of having a new season
youre going to need at least a month of pre-season before anyone is up for 90 minutes of professional football anyways

Anyone thing this will be helping the world cup 2022 schedule?
Seeing as it is in December 2022
With these delays and cancellations and so on, they're likely to be able to fit in a full season the season before the 2022 world cup so that it won't be in the middle of the season
OR
I'm insane

Just void this season. let Liverpool have their long-awaited PL title and Arsenal back in the CL, and that will be good enough for me.
