That actually answered some questions for me. So, it isn't really the testing kits that are having a shortage but the parts that the testing machines need in order to run the tests for those kits.
Tbf the NYC subway being cleaned nightly is the best thing that could've happened to it and they should keep doing it
Hospitals still report their numbers to the state which they make public, there are some concerns about just reporting to the HHS and not CDC but this isn't some huge conspiracy.
Gonna be like about 10 years ago with just more property in even fewer hands again. Banks, foreign nationals parking money and investment groups.

Tennessee right in its ass. Surprised CA isnāt worse tbh. Figured it would be like NY. Didnāt think TX would be that bad at first but I suppose thereās been lots of growth
People wah wah about landlords on the internet but it's gonna be a shitshow when the smaller outfits can't make payments and that crap inevitably sells high and just raises rents and property taxes further. Lots of rented houses are in high demand areas. And even the stuff that sells cheap will just get in the hands of one of those awful property management groups that doesn't fix dick and overcharges on rent.
...after learning that Jefferson City Schools planned to offer face-to-face instruction in the midst of a resurgent coronavirus pandemic that has seen thousands of new cases reported daily in Georgia.š¬
As other districts around the state delayed their back-to-school days or moved to all-remote learning, Jefferson school officials announced they were sticking with their Friday start date, one of the earliest in the nation. And while school officials said they would āstrongly encourageā masks for students and teachers, they stopped short of making masks mandatory.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostGeezCurious why this graphic is different than the powerbi data (which is worse) https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiNzRhYjg2NzAtMGE1MC00NmNjLTllOTMtYjM2NjFmOTA4ZjMyIiwidCI6Ijc5MGJmNjk2LTE3NDYtNGE4OS1hZjI0LTc4ZGE5Y2RhZGE2MSIsImMiOjN9

Spain's "second wave" of the virus is looking pretty weird; over the last 20 days, they've recorded about 23'000 new cases of the virus, while having a grand total of about 12 deaths. The rest of Europe still seems to be maintaining consistent death rates from the virus, so I've no idea what's going on in Spain
By Perfect Blue Go To PostOnly 6 new infections of COVID-19 today in Toronto. 6!!!!!

They're even keeping the borders closed to their own baseball team.
Invited a bunch of American hockey teams up, because that's different.
By Pac-12 Go To PostThey're even keeping the borders closed to their own baseball team.Well... it is different lol. The hockey teams are quarantined in Toronto and Edmonton and aren't going back and forth over the border. Entirely different scenario but you already know that and are just ribbing haha.

The GOP plan also includes billions of dollars in funds that are completely unrelated to fighting the coronavirus pandemic, such as $686 million for F-35 fighter jets and $1.75 billion for construction of a new FBI headquarters. McConnell apparently had no idea funding for the FBI building was included in the final legislation, which was crafted in his office.
"Um, I'm not sure that it is. Is it?" McConnell said during a press conference when asked why the FBI funds are in the bill.
Titled the Health, Economic Assistance, Liability, and Schools (HEALS) Act, the $1 trillion opening bid from Republicans was released in bits and pieces Monday as coronavirus cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to surge across the U.S. and the economy remains in deep recession, with the official unemployment rate hovering above 11%.https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/07/28/utter-disgrace-gop-proposes-legal-immunity-corporations-0-funding-states-and-deep
The Republican plan would temporarily reduce the weekly unemployment insurance boost from $600 to $200 until states can implement a complicatedāsome say unworkableānew system that would pay laid-off workers 70% of what they earned prior to losing their jobs. Additionally, the GOP proposal would provide another round of $1,200 direct stimulus payments to most Americans, funding for U.S. schools that meet "minimum opening requirements," and $16 billion for coronavirus testing.
