By linsivvi Go To PostMediocrity is relative. Expand the league today's mediocre teams would have a better record, despite losing talents. That doesn't make them better and the actual competition gets worse.
I don't see how one can say the talent pool is strong enough to support additional teams when so many teams are struggling to put up a competitive roster right now. Where do you magically find these 30 players?
Well, as I have said before, I'd also get rid of the max contract and let teams decide how much to pay players. Want to get LeBron, KD, Kawhi? Add zeroes to that check, homey. You aren't going to have teams with 3 or 4 "max" players, not when there's no limit on how much an actual max player can make, other than the salary cap itself. You're not going to have Steph + Klay + KD + Draymond (hashtag laugh out loud) on the same roster, you're not going to have LeBron + (insert running mate(s) here) on the same roster, there will be no big 3, be glad if you even have a big 2. Let the best players make as much bank as they can get, and fill out the roster. (On that note, the scrubs parading as maxes in the current era will learn quickly that, no, they're not actually a max player.) Different teams will do it different ways. Oh, LA is going to spend 75% of its cap on LeBron? Good luck with that, while Sacramento is spreading the wealth among a dozen different players, who might deal death by a 1000 cuts to the LeBron or Kawhi-led team.

Exactly. You could count on two hands the number of really well run teams in the league. Almost half go into most season with no real plan of winning.
the Knicks signed 3 PFs who basically were the same player. 🤷🏿♂️ I mean sometimes you strike out in FA but that doesn't mean you have to just go stupid
By Branduil Go To PostGood to see Luka and KP starting to figure out how to play together.last two games were very promising. Luka's injury break is exactly what KP needed.

An apostrophe will fix that...but the spacing will forever look like shit. LOL

Thanks, he did a hell of a job with Lonzo's form. I'm already searching for Vinson's videos.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostThanks, he did a hell of a job with Lonzo's form. I'm already searching for Vinson's videos. He's been with the Pels since 2010 and several other Pelican players still can't shoot so he isn't a miracle worker. He does spend the time with the players willing to work with him, though. I know he doesn't believe in reworking someone's shot as much as refining what the player is already doing to make it quicker and more easily repeatable.
Kirk Goldsberry, ESPN - The Sixers definitely don't have a Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid problem
See Knux? You were overreacting. The Sixers definitely don't have a Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid problem.

well yeah.
the issue was adding Horford to the pairing,...losing JJ and honestly Tobias isn't a great fit either (he likes to post up and take his time to get long 2s and isn't a fan of chucking 3s like we need to). The flukey first year run of Ben/JJ/Cov/Dario/Biid was the best team in terms of fit. The FO constantly takes the wrong message from failure and has constantly overtweaked things instead of simply improving on things. Now we lack options to do anything about it without trading one of those two now lol.

They were so thirsty to be the biggest team in the league. The right moves would have been going after Walker or Brogdon in free agency for the 2nd ball handler.
After so many seasons of Anthony Davis being the best player on my favorite team and not being able to do anything with it, I will bang the drum that you can never have too many people that can handle the ball and create for themselves.
our training staff is the woat

still bummed at how bad Mike Conley is. He really struggles just making layups and opposing teams just hunt for him on defense. Bogey has been awful in this game too though...
By The Frankman Go To PostRemember when you weren't worried about Giannis in the playoffs Knux?we won't meet them anyway so there.
but he still has to do this in the playoffs...he has been shut down the last two years. Bud also has choked often in the playoffs.
if he's making 3s tho....its a wrap lol

I don't think Philly has the discipline to remotely limit Giannis or even bother him. It's going to come down to Middleton and Lopez going MIA. Mobile centers might be able to bother him but that means playing Horford and Embiid and that LU doesn't seem to work.
By diehard Go To Postlast year it was really Bledsoe going MIAOh yeah I forgot the George Hill Experience. What in the world was wrong with Bledsoe?
EDIT: this game he was 5/11 FG, 12/4/8 assists. He doesn't really have to do that much with this team, just be steady and play D.
The Bucks blow people out even with Giannis sitting, they are damn good. I still don't see them not making the Finals unless some shit happens (or massive choking).
