there's only a handful of legitimately good mando episodes but meh its cool that star wars can do good tv i guess
Mando s1 was pretty good, had that classic Star Wars feel without beating you over the head with it, unlike s2…
Early season 1 felt the best to me because it wasn’t so devoted to writing in characters from the movies or other shows

Same.
it had bill burr ep. but s2 also had bill burr ep
s2 also had the kurosawa vibes EP and that was really cool
s1 mandalorians > s2 mandos
its about even for me idk

The early appeal of Mando was definitely how contained it felt. But then it was successful so they had to fit as many star wars characters as possible in to sell more Funko pops.
Makes the Galaxy seem so much smaller when Luke Skywalker just happens to run into you

I really don't think it's that bad they (re)introduced characters...
Its not like they did a bad job of it. And the last few movies really struggled at every attempt to do so as well. Standing up new characters and tying them into things isn't some great sin imo.

I thought Visions was so bad, the first one was awesomely made but it only focused on visuals. Nothing fancy storywise.
All the rest had to dreg up everything from the past from the holdo manouvre to "I love you, I know".

The whole appeal of Mando was that it was all side quests. The prison ep looked like cheap ass tv, but was entertaining as fuck.
Ultimately it's boring when all is done to call back to things we've seen a million times.

By bud Go To Postfive episodes into the mandalorian.Episode 6 is probably my favorite of the entire series.
By Lupercal Go To PostWhere's Burr's solo series goddammit. I want to see jaded by war Mayfeld just shooting down Imps.Burr's character was meh af tho.
By Laboured Go To PostThought Burr's character and his acting was off-puttingly bad.me too. I really like Burr as well.
They really missed the chance to make him into jaded Han Solo imo
Ole Billy Gingerbread Burr was a shitty actor for sure. He was much more natural the second time around but still rough.
By DY_nasty Go To PostCompared to the actual Han Solo Disney trotted out Burr was great 😂I just pretend that movie never happened
By JesalR Go To PostI don't really understand how the writing on Fett is so bad, early 2000s YA novel badIt's Star Wars
I can't buy that. Not saying Star Wars is extraordinary writing, but this is a different _kind_ of bad
By LFMartins86 Go To PostLooks good
I hope they don't water-down the tone with unnecessary jokes and gags.
By Elchele Go To PostLooks goodYeah that’s not gonna happen.

according to the Moon Knight trailer, Moon Knight actually talks like Alan Bennett. Well, almost like Alan Bennett. He sounds like Alan Bennett being played by Dick Van Dyke towards the latter stages of a 48-hour am-dram Some Mothers Do ’Ave ’Em recital. It is – and please remember that we live in a universe where Don Cheadle, on three separate occasions, played a cockney who sounded as if he’d been given a fatal dose of dental anaesthetic – the most incongruous British accent in the history of filmed media.
…
There is not enough space on the internet for me to try and pinpoint exactly what Oscar Isaac’s accent sounds like in the Moon Knight trailer. It sounds like the malnourished cousin of the Churchill nodding dog. It sounds like Alan Partridge impaling his foot on a spike. It sounds like someone cast an evil spell on the 2017 Saturday Night Live Great British Bake Off sketch. It sounds like Jane Horrocks trying to be South African. It sounds like Dominic Raab wetting the bed as a child. It is awful.

Not to turn this into us Vs you thing but I've never watched a film and thought an American was British from how good their accent was.

Conversely, all a Brit needs to do to sound American is sing
I think Sean Astin in LOTR does a good job.
By Daz Go To PostAmericans are far far worse at Irish accents.Brad Pitt in Snatch is one of the better ones.
Surprised Cleff and Ninja haven't gone on a jihad.

Americans just need to sound a bit silly and replace my with me, instant UK accent.
