Genuinely horrific watches. Would be irrelevant if they weren’t obscenely priced and you couldn’t flex your wealth with a RM. Only one that isn’t hideous is the Bubba Watson RM.
I’m partial to it because Formula 1 drivers wear them and they make it look appealing. Still appalling for the price tag.
The Portofino is ~$20k but starts at $5k at its most simple configuration.
The Portugieser is ~$18k but starts at $7k at its most simple configuration.

Navitimers are my thing because my dad wore one and I used to wear it around the house when I was a midget.
Love German watchmaking though, but not IWC.

By DiPro Go To PostThey are fine. I own one from my grandpa but it doesn't look good on my wrist.Small wrists?
By Perfect Blue Go To PostSmall wrists?opposite. my grandpa was a tiny man, it's too small for me.
The largest watch that I own is the Big Bold Jellyfish at 47mm. I can wear it without it looking oversized on my wrist. This bodes well for my Tag Heuer Monaco fantasies.

I was not a fan of Tag Heuer, but recently a Korean actor wore the Monaco in a drama and oh boy it was popping.
On my wishlist now.

I need to buy a gift for a special lady friend so I've decided on getting her a Max Bill from Junghans. I actually want one myself but sod it.

I'd look into the Max Bill Damen and Quarz. Both have a sapphire crystal and a quartz movement. The Damen has a smaller diameter don't know if that's preferable, the regular version shouldn't wear to big.
I recommended the quartz movement because I believe it to be wholly unnecessary to pay more for an automatic movement when it's meant to be given to someone who's not a watch enthousiast. Quartz just works and I don't expect other people to feel the same pleasure in winding up a watch and setting the correct time in the morning as I do.
Feeling is mutual. They're also indistinguishable in look and feel when you put both of them on the wrist.
By DiPro Go To PostI don't like square watchesm the monaco isn't my cup of tea at all.Ditto. Not sure why.
By Anya Taylor-Sad Go To PostPoor Lando. What the hell is wrong with those yobs.
Yep super cautious when and where I wear mine too.
I really like the Nautilus. Didn’t realize I share a messageboard with folks that can afford one. I’m in the wrong job /Scum
Metal Casioaks look nice. Probably about £500 though. I would need to kidjr to be my paypig though if I was to upgrade from the f91w.

I know for a fact that I'll never be able to buy a Omega Speedmaster at €2000+
But a ST19 powered homage at €150 is alright.
Hmm, the price bracket of a couple of thousand isn’t something I can ‘afford’. But I would be willing to put aside money on a monthly basis to buy something like that. But the real deal (20K+ watches) is just something I will/can never do.
Eager to get rid of my Daniel Wellington though. Definitely gonna get me something new within the next year. In a reasonable price bracket that is (maybe 500 tops).

If you don't have the money to replace it's too risky to actually wear it. So it's locked up in his safe in the original packaging.

Fucking hell.
I'm always (unreasonably) afraid to get mugged whenever i'm in a foreign country so i always try to look as poor as possible lol.
Luckily I'm black so I'm perceived as the mugger so I don't have to worry about that in foreign lands. Still remember being asked if I had any coke to sell randomly on the street in Canada😂
I understand KidJr, dude has a good Rolex Sky Dweller you couldn’t wear a louder, more in your face watch lol. At least with stuff like AP, Patek, AL&S only people in the know will be aware of the value.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostRE: Square watches
Goals is the JLC Reverso, the watch with two faces
I've started to love the Reverso. Will get one when I'm on Kid Jr's level.

Yeah that’s too bad man, in the end I will only buy a watch to actually enjoy it. If it’s just sitting inside a safe it won’t mean much to me. Well unless it’s some family piece of course.
And luckily, like people mentioned, most people don’t know too much about watches. You’ll have to know them to see the value. Unless it’s a big ass shiny Rolex indeed.
Why can’t we just enjoy the nice things.
