What's your wrist size? Like 6-6.25 inches? I wouldn't go over 36mm, at most 38mm but that's just me.

For example. I tried the Moonswatch and what a flimsy piece of shit that was. Felt like a 3d printed watch for fucks sake. A far cry from the original Speedmaster which makes you feel like a pimp.

Fuuuuuuuck new Black Bays with in-house movement... but they're 25% more expensive than the ETA variants. You just can't win, lads. Might just buy the Ranger if I can ever find it in stock.
Thanks!
Now a pic of my dad's old watch (probably older than me):
E: at some point, I may get a third watch, but don't think I would be too enticed for any more than that. And that third one might just be a G-Shock. Lol

Any good straps for my Arnie?
I've been wearing it a lot recently.
.
I also dig that there's no hype surrounding it.

By Call Sign: Apollo Go To PostI want this watch https://www.seikowatches.com/global-en/products/5sports/special/maskedrider/indexIt's grown on me. I didn't like the design at first. Not a fan of the SKX case. LX case would have been better. Aside from that, this is a unique collaboration piece.

By DiPro Go To PostI'm getting a nice watch for my birthday. What should i choose? 🤯This one looks good to me.
I actually want one for myself just to wear when I want a watch but also will be doing things with a good risk of damage. And red is my favorite color.
For serious advice, I dunno. I think you should just go into a jewelry shop and browse until something strikes your fancy.

Or something cheaper. Looking for a dress watch mainly. Has to be swiss because you know lol.
That's a lot of dosh. You can get two nice Tudors for that kind of money
I lol'd at the Casio rec to a Swiss

Tank or some configuration of the Santos Dumont, if you just want it as a dress watch. I would have said the Reverso but the JLC price increase hits hard.
If you want a GADA… just get the 36mm Rolex Explorer or an Aqua Terra and call it a day.

Probably passing on a Rolex just because i want it to be a little bit more lowkey lol.
Thanks for the recs

I think the Explorer is very low key it’s not flashy at all like some of the larger models, but fair enough.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostI think the Explorer is very low key it’s not flashy at all like some of the larger models, but fair enough.Yeah yeah i mean because it's a rolex. Everyone knows what that means when they see the logo.
With a Omega for example most people have no clue if it's $500 or 10k. I don't want to flex like that.
For the ultimate chuffery you have to get a Grand Seiko and tell everyone in the room about it's zaratsu polish.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostGetting a Seiko is even worse than getting Casio for a Swiss 😔i'd wear a japanese watch but i just was in japan and the yen is so low i should've bought it there.
the German watches are actually quite beautiful but that's a line i won't cross.

Dipto, Was looking at watches for you and then saw this.
Stunning watch.
If you want a dress watch watch then you are basically looking for a simple watch with a leather strap.
I can’t tell from your previous post if you like Omega or not.
There online site is fantastic and the watch finder lets you put in what you want.

Or something like this with the black alligator strap.

Even if you don’t want to get one from them, at least you can look at theirs and use them as references for other watchmakers.

i like omega. those two omegas are about what i'm looking for. something classy and simple that would go with a smart casual and more dress attire.
that Rolex looks nice too i have to admit.
