Not interested in a Rolex but for the watch market as a whole it would be great if the bubble bursts.
Legit confounding they can keep those absurd prices while producing 1.5mil watches per year
Then again, entire luxury fashion market is kinda fucked when it comes to supply/demand

If I had the money I’d definitely buy a Rolex Explorer… such a beautiful watch.
By reilo Go To PostLegit confounding they can keep those absurd prices while producing 1.5mil watches per yearGuarantee there’s some kind of chicanery going on with supply and collusion between the manufacturers, ADs, and grey market dealers. Rolex, AP, PP are private companies and incredibly secretive. The game is rigged

Alpinists are dope watches.
I want a Grand Seiko so badly but can’t justify the price to myself lol. There’s sellers on Chrono24 offering good deals for new watches with papers and all but YMMV if the manufacturer would even honour the warranty. The Omega Railmaster is my grail watch and I see it on there for a tad more than the Black Bay 36 I have on hold at an AD.

Think I'm starting to like the Speedmaster '57 released this year 🤔🤔
Maybe even more so than the Moonwatch because of its slimmer profile and color choices.

Ain't worth it mang it's so plain
Can get equivalent elsewhere for 1/5 the price but then it won't say Rolex

Still kicking myself for not buying a Rolex hulk Submariner years ago for like $9k at the AD when I walked in and it just happened to be in stock and available. I never knew the future would be like this though…
Probably not a special watch at all but this is my dad's old watch that I really need to get fixed up.
It just looks good to me in my nostalgia and memories.
E: sorry for the super yellow lighting

Sent in my dad's old watch to get the glass replaced (there is a sizable crack in the bottom left), the internals maintained, and in general give it a good cleaning. Might take a while, though, to find a replacement glass.
My gf got me a new watch for my birthday and I just came back from getting it fitted. I struggle to find a good way to take a picture of it without all the reflections. It looks super great with the jacket I usually wear when going out.

That looks nice.
Was in Bond Street last week. The watch street of London. Incredible watches on display. And even more incredible was the amount if security.
Not sure how true it is, but saw on instagram someone say Patek give you a brown paper bag from a supermarket when you buy a new watch to stop thieves haha.

By reilo Go To PostYou can look at the Serica but unfortunately its movement has reliability issues.
Fuck me, can Omega re-release the Seamaster 300 1957 Trilogy again? Me gusta
Got my father's watch back from getting the crystal and battery replaced, internals maintained, and the whole thing cleaned as well as getting both it and the Movado sized. Very happy right now.
Also, it has taken me a few times to get the Movado sized right because I hadn't worn watches in so long, I didn't know how they should fit. Also, my wrist area expands significantly if I've just taken a shower or have been doing craft work with my hands, so the band would fit perfectly sometimes and become too tight at others. I think I have the right balance now, though.
If I get a third watch at some point in the next five years, it will probably be a mechanical watch as those are seriously cool.

You could look into a bracelet with quick adjustment to tackle the expanding wrist problem. They allow you to easily adjust the size a bit without tools during the day.
Longines puts out so many ridiculously good watches. Been eyeing their Sector dial watch for so long.
Yeah, precisely! That's the one.
I can't afford the Omega CK859 lol. Heritage Classic is the more realistic option.

It’s exceptionally strong value for just over 2k. There really is nothing criticise about it, except for the unimaginative design which is the exactly the point of a remake anyway.

Yeah they do lol.
London is really becoming worse for these muggings tho. Maybe a bit out of touch but it's a shame.
These days it's simply just not safe to wear any kind of high profile watch out and about. Fine if you get in your privately chauffeured car in front of your door and get dropped of at the place you need to be. But otherwise you're always a target. Glad I'm poor enough to still be able to enjoy my watches.
By MF Coom Go To PostThat is a bit strange now that you mentioned it but everything else fire. Just not for that price.Man, I'd kill for a <40mm version. What's your wrist size?
Quick and dirty pic of my ham
By bacon Go To PostMan, I'd kill for a <40mm version. What's your wrist size?6.5 inch
So Hamilton finally brought out the 38mm of the Murph. My main gripe with the 42mm were that the lugs dwarfed my wrist every time I put the thing on. I think that is why I never bought it. This on the other hand looks snug.
AL&S yeah. Otherwise I can’t really think of any that stand out… Nomos and Junghans seem cool but hardly a step above the competitors.
For a dress watch to me it begins and ends with the Tank or Santos Dumont. And you can pull those off in other settings too.
