By aka Espi Go To PostAnyone know of any good wireless mice? I have a logitech g603 which was fine, but now double clicks often and apparently that's an issue with the omron switches. At first it was slightly annoying but not too bad as it didn't occur often but now it is and even just browsing is a pain in the ass. I don't even play CS right now because so many times I would damage myself or my teammates with an accidental molly or nade.I have the exact same double click issue ATM man :(
I really don't want to go wired but if I do I'll get a Zowie.
It's killing me buying a new mouse as soon as this lockdown ends
By Laboured Go To PostThey're not showing any consumer cards that's for sure. What better occasion.

Save us, next gen consoles. I'm very interested to see how the 3300x will hold up against his older brothers.
Man, this MSI X470 Gaming M7 AC board has been a real disappointment as it has gotten on in years. Bluetooth, a USB hub, and ethernet are all non-functional now. Will need to just get dedicated expansion cards for bluetooth and ethernet in the future to avoid relying on the integrated ones, I guess.

By HonestVapes Go To PostWhat happened there then, they just karked out on you?Yeah, just over time. It started with one of the USB headers providing only power and not data. Months later, the ethernet port would only support up to 100 mbps (i took the same cable and plugged it into a USB ethernet adapter and i get the full gigabit i should so it is definitely the port). Months after that, the Bluetooth device just isn't seen anymore. I have a feeling it is part of the same hub that that fUSB header is connected to.
Oh, and now it isn't able to apply my OC settings if it is starting from a Shutdown but it is able to apply them just fine when starting from a Restart. It's all very bizarre.
Guess you're outside the warranty range for it too?
If it uses a standard wireless adapter then you might be able to just swap that out. More hassle than sticking a PCIE adapter in it, but you'd save a slot on the board for something else if you need it. Here's a quick tutorial on it.

It looks like the warranty lasts for three years and it has only been about two years, so I just put in a ticket. Thanks for the kick in the butt to check that! I thought it would have been over long before this.
Can't remember the last time I owned a MSI board. Must've been the later Athlon XP days.
Loved my MSI 970 Gaming tho.

The MSI B450/X470 boards were all generally well received too. Really surprised parts have failed on it. Hope you get it all sorted, Kibner. If not, then it can just serve to spur you onto the ITX Life.

The bluetooth issue and OC settings one are both new, but the others have persisted through reformats and bios updates and even a new USB header.
PC has BSOD unexpectedly twice in the past couple days for some reason.

By HonestVapes Go To PostWhat were you doing on the PC when it blue screened?
Running any overclocks?
Nothing. I wasn't even at my pc, just found it had restarted when I came back.
I have a modest 5.1 OC on the 9900ks.

That'd be the first thing I'd look into. Could just be a voltage step shy of stable.
something is unstable
if your RAM isn't overclocked, i'd take a look at that CPU OC. What voltage do you have it set at? Is it manual? Over time some chips can become a little unstable and require more voltage to maintain their OC.

I'll take a look when I get home.

Remember that NZXT H1 case that came out recently? Someone's making custom wood panels for it to replace the glass and they look fucking nice.
By Kibner Go To Postaight, i have got to see this lolDisappointed me to be honest. Expected it to go a bit further than undervolting. Hope GN do something absurd with one like they did with that older NUC that had a Vega GPU.

Well, this is bullshit. I got in touch with MSI and they want me to RMA the board, which, fine. However, it has a 15-35 business day turnaround time and they won't give me a loaner board in the meantime, leaving my computer disabled. Since i use this machine to work, I told them I won't buy MSI again because this is not an acceptable solution. Let's see if that gets me anything.
e: nope, lol
By Kibner Go To PostIt's about what I expected, tbh.Fucking shite of them that. I'd kick off a bit more, take it to their social media accounts since brands don't like being publicly dragged and see if that changes things for you.

Thoughts and prayers
I only buy my motherboards from Microcenter and with a warranty. If you have to replace the board and they don't have it, you get the value back and can use it for another one. I had to go through the RMA process on a Asus p67 board years ago and it was the worst. Never again.
Yeah, I will be doing that in the future. I lived hundreds of miles away from any store like that before, but now I don't.
By blackace Go To Posthow long did you own your board before it crapped out???It started having some issues a year in (the front USB header) and then just got worse over time. I've had it for almost two years now. It is the MSI Gaming M7 AC which is supposed to be a great and reliable board.
