"The talk is that the Portuguese has had it with many of them, and very few are safe in the summer. Mourinho would be willing to consider the sale of pretty much any players bar David De Gea, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Juan Mata. They are currently the only ones who have his full trust."

No complaints. But I’m sure his trusted generals will start regardless though.

Let em know Jose.
Nothing quite like it having a bikram yoga session with 15 other women and you being the only bloke in there.
To be honest his contract and endorsements are way more impressive than his actual end-product on a football pitch, so the equation was bound to get him sold at some point.
Spurs ready to get rid of Dembele shocks me, even though he’s 30.

Well I like what Mou is saying there and that's the way it should be. If players are not performing to the level needed then they shouldn't be playing.
Except even the players are not performing then I see nothing from Mou from the sidelines suggesting that Mou is even trying to push them or motivate them or even intimidate them into performing well.

He started off well and was poor for a long time up until he scored that worldie against Palace. The good news for him is that is when United came under fire due to Sevilla so he wasn't criticized as much as his teammates. Alexis has been shit since coming over.

If United start slow out the gate next season, Mourinho is gone by Boxing Day. But then who is caretaker before a permanent appointment can be made?

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI dont know how VAR turned out this bad.
I dont know why I should care about who plays for United tomorrow when the Trump Cohen story is becoming better than an Ianucci movie
By Bungie Go To PostThese are exhibition games in another country, so realistically the organisers can charge whatever people are willing to pay
I remember when City played on the Gold Coast a few years back (a tacky Miami-like coastal city in Queensland, Australia), tickets were like 40 bucks. Was brilliant. Even when Liverpool played a year later, tickets weren't much more. One of the few times we didn't get dicked over.
VAR is needed but it's run by idiots. They have enabled this in every major sports but in the one that counts
By recon_zero Go To PostVAR is needed but it's run by idiots. They have enabled this in every major sports but in the one that countsHow many other sports have such subjective decisions, with so few significant breaks in play?
Even in its best form I don't think var would be great in football
VAR is the future but it's all over the place in terms of implementation and interpretation. It's probably the biggest change to the game in decades, and people aren't comfortable with such drastic change in football where it's free-flowing nature is one of its best attributes. I don't think video tech has ever had such a fundamental impact on a sport like it has with football... but everyone needs to fucking relax and let them iron out the kinks in the system. As we found out over the last two weeks, VAR is preferable to a shoddy referee even with its current deficiencies.
Also, every Joe Hart mistake hurts me in the heart. :( On the bright side, that save the other night was one of the best of the season. He's better than his last two seasons would have you believe but he's such a confidence player. It's tough.

When the Refs have been having rules for about 40 years and then something changes, it will take some adjustment. If you ask me, just empower the video refs on the cabin to take the decision.
as Kermit says it has kinks and it needs to be polished. The people against VAR that argue for "Spirit of the game" are dinosaurs, just like Buffoon declaration
VAR is shit. It won't fix anything, it will just make the game more retarded and lengthy. Human error is part of the game, the refs included.
The only things that technology can and should fix is offside calls and that goal line shit that they do in the EPL. That's about it. Come up with some infrared cameras gizmo or whatever to check if the player is offside and tell the linesmen that they're only there to help the ref in sideline fouls.
Fucking done.
VAR is shit. Get rid of it. Or actually go full blast with it and have 3 refs watching the game through broadcast talking to the ref all the time and helping him throughout the entire game.. This half-assed shit of it's only for penalties and offsides and cards is stupid. Don't be half-pregnant.

I have been having a fear that De Gea will have an Iker or Joe Hart problem when he hits 30 in the last... couple of years?
He's an amazing shot stopper, like both but there is that fear that he will end up much worse when he gets much older because of over-relying on his god given gift. I don't want to say it because frankly there's no evidence that he will end up that way, just I've always remembered in Fergie's book where he stated that De Gea didn't know how to take care of himself and had to be forced by the goalkeeping coaches in United.
It's just a fear though, and probably overthinking it.

VAR is definitely something that will be improved with time but in its current state, it's useless, particularly when the tension and drama are high. It's too stop-start atm to really work.
By Xpike Go To Postremember when the CL has referees on the side of goal, have they ever done absolutely anything.honestly this never gets talked about
but these referees have never ever made or helped with a decision
in probably 200 games they helped with 1 decision in 18,000 minutes of football
I agree that you should have video referees, but they should be reviewing the incidents and sending the information to the main official, so he doesn’t have to leave and review. Have the video assisted refs radio over the crucial parts and the main official can use that to make their decision.

Can you elaborate more on that story? I’ve never heard it. Sounds interesting.
It’s hard to see a major dip coming for De Gea, he’s so good and seems to get better every season. He’s only 27 too. It’s pretty ridiculous. I’m sure he’ll dip eventually but you can’t see it in the next 5 years.
How lucky United were that Madrid dawdled on the paperwork a few years back.
I say Keepers only get better with age. Madrid will be getting a world class keeper if (when) we get them and this will hurt United really hard.
