By Moris Go To PostMy MoviePass(https://www.moviepass.com) is in the mail, so I'm gonna start watching a ton of bad movies now.
How do you check if the card is in the mail? Did they send an email?
Since I've been suffering a little gaming burnout, I've been trying to watch all the important movies I've never seen. Which is a lot.
I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark, which I liked. Now I'm watching Temple of Doom, which I don't like. Is Crystal Skull even going to be worth it? Keep in mind that I do enjoy watching hilariously bad movies

Somehow I hadn't seen Get Out until tonight.
Fucking excellent. Knew exactly what it wanted to do and it did it well.

Just watched Spawn for the first time ever. The effects did not hold up at all. Lol
The script was bad and the acting was only ok. Soundtrack was pretty tight and I enjoyed my 90 minutes watching it.
On to Queen of the Damned, which I also have never seen before. No, I don't know why I'm watching these movies. Maybe it's because they have similar genre of soundtrack and I'm on a supernatural action movie tick right now.

Last Crusade>>>>>>>>>>>Temple of Doom
I honestly think the CG holds up better than Blade's

Yeah, this was a much better movie in every way but action. Liked it a lot. Now I just want to listen to the soundtrack.
Watched 'Apt Pupil' last night. Pretty good, until the last 20 mins where Singer doesn't know how to end it. :/
A wasted opportunity, as I was quite enjoying it up to then.

Dunkirk was good but I would never watch it again
kind of sad that Nolan invested so much time doing this film instead of doing something more... Nolan-esque

Good Time is the best movie I have seen this year. By some distance.
See it in a theater if you can.

They have an app that you sign into, card takes 7 bussiness days to arrive and there's no tracking info.
Couple of my friends have been using the service for a few years (when it was $50/month), excited to abuse this service.

Yeah, I saw that. But do you have to request the card or do they just send it once you sign up. i assume they just send it when you sign up.

Yea, there's no request necessary, it's automatic after you sign up.

Cool. Thanks.
Michael Kenneth Williams off the Han Solo movie
Fuck me. Literally all of my enthusiasm for that movie draining away. Glover pls leave too and consign it to the shit heap.

That news is a bummer. The re-shoots fucked that up because he's in the middle of filming another movie until November.
I threw all hope I had for a good Han Solo movie in the trash when Glover's non-acting boring ass was cast.
Logan Lucky was solid. Not as good as the Ocean movies, but still a good time.
Channing is one of the greats.

The Hitman's Bodyguard is hilarious. The comedy and action are in point. The director makes some weird visual choices though. Parts of it look blown out, almost like what The Phantom Menace looks like.
I ate it up and so did the rest of the crowd.

I am so bad at watching movies at home. I can never concentrate for the whole thing. Always end up looking at my phone or drifting off.
In theaters, I have no problem focusing.
I need a theater at my house.

Was anyone else aware that Terminator 2 is being remaster and getting a short rerelease at select AMC theaters?
Warner Bros and DC are in the early stages of another Batman Universe spinoff movie, this one telling the origin story of the signature villain The Joker. The studio has set The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips to co-write a script with 8 Mile scribe Scott Silver. Phillips will direct the movie, and Martin Scorsese will produce it with Phillips. This will be the first film under a new banner that has yet to be named in which WB can expand the canon of DC properties and create unique storylines with different actors playing the iconic characters.
... but this new film will launch the character with a different actor, possibly younger.http://deadline.com/2017/08/the-joker-origin-movie-todd-phillips-martin-scorsese-scott-silver-batman-dc-universe-1202154053/
An intriguing part is the setting. The intention is to make a gritty and grounded hard-boiled crime film set in early-’80s Gotham City that isn’t meant to feel like a DC movie as much as one of Scorsese’s films from that era, like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull or The King Of Comedy. I’m told that Phillips and Silver are writing already, but there is nothing firm on where this will fit into the DC schedule.
wat
By Freewheelin Go To PostWith Fincher set to direct World War Z 2 and now this news….we're in bizarro world for sure lmaoDifferent situations. Brad Pitt has been begging Fincher to direct WWZ2 for almost two years, Scorsese is only producing the DC movie.
WB should just give the keys to Batman to the guys who wrote their games. I doubt Silver or Phillips are going to come up with anything better than that.
Batman is being helmed by Matt Reeves and Affleck, which is about as good as you'll get for the franchise.
IT's social media embargo has been lifted and they are extremely positive, and that's including some critics opinions.
Hype levels rising, really doubted that the project would turn out well but I liked what I saw and I really like the little tidbits I've read online, they all say they nailed the casting of the kids.

Tobe Hooper, the man behind Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Poltergeist, has died.
Last months have been hard for horror masters with the deaths of George Romero and Wes Craven, now it's Hopper.

So American Sniper looks like your typical revenge movie with familiar face, Michael Keaton.
But then I see the trailer on TV just now and there's an aircraft carrier splitting in half and huge explosions out in the ocean.
What the hell is this movie? 😂

By Wengward Go To PostAnyone seen Wind River?I'm going to try and see it this week with Logan Lucky.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostSaw Guardians Of The Galaxy 2. Watchable but a lot worse than the first one.
Got to disagree. watched it last night, and I think it was very good. On the same level as the first one, at least. Obviously now we had higher expectations and knew what the tone was before watching it, so there was no surprise like in the first one.
Groot and Drax were great
Logan Lucky was more than decent. It wasn't Soderbergh's best but it was well crafted, funny and original for a summer movie. The heist itself I felt lacked a bit of suspense but it's worth a watch.
By data Go To Postplease stop putting harrison ford in modern moviesI agree

By Wengward Go To Post2049 is going to be better than the original.Original is super boring so that's what I was hoping for.
