Tractor companies do similar things and it is so fucking awful and I hate every company and all their decision makers.
The screen is literally falling out of my iPhone 5S. Think it might be time I upgraded, but I want to keep the 3.5inch jack and stick with an iPhone.
Was the 6 the last one with the headphone jack?

Is anybody else using an Apple TV 4k as their primary entertainment device? I’ve been super pleased after having mine for about 6 months. TV (I.e slingtv or dedicated Apps) look really good, or about as good as it can given the source. 4K movies via iTunes look really good. I’m not sure if it’s more of the atv4k outputting in 2160p and doing a phenomenal job at the up scaling or if it’s more of the OLED tv putting in the work. I had no issues with the GOT Battle of Winterfell episode for example. It’s been a nice edition to the living room. Remote is trash though.
I love my AppleTV 4K
DirecTV Now had a promotion awhile ago where if you prepaid for 3 months you got a free one, and that was the best decision I ever made
Remote is beyond trash. Idk what they were thinking

Work gave us HooToo USB-C hubs for our laptops (I got rid of mine and just got the right cables a while back), and that kept crashing his MBP. He even bought a new MBP while his current one was in service with Apple and there was nothing wrong with the old one. He plugs the HooToo into his new laptop and it almost fried it while it killed power.
So uh, don't use USB-C hubs that also feed power to your laptop, I guess. Or rather, don't cheap out on those devices.

Got a Samsung S10e last week. I really like it but that bixby button right below the volume controls is fucking annoying
My Apple TV broke after just raving about it ffs.
Have to take it to Genius Bar tomorrow for exchange. Using my Chromecast in the meantime. Works gud. Apple smh.

By Rob Go To Posthow did you break your apple tv?
Idk what was going on but it started flickering in and out. I changed cables. Changed inputs. Same thing. Hooked up the Chromecast and it worked fine. Went back to the ATV and same issue. Set up a appointment with Apple to replace it and ofc it worked fine. Got it back home and was working again lol
OnePlus 7 pro

Houston will be getting 5G later this year. Sort of interested in the Galaxy 5G but its Samsung ffs.
5G will be launching in London this year too. I don't think phones are anywhere near ready, but 3 will be launching a MiFi hub, and if it can hit close to gigabit, I might consider switching over from my cable

must be very angry other companies also spies.

Not bad given it's over wifi. We gigabit now boys
I'm unconvinced 5g is going to work well for anyone.
Given that there's 2 versions of the chips also ....
And how perfect the connection has to be?
I'm still waiting for blanket 4g coverage.

Android Pie seems to have fixed the sluggishness my OP3T was experiencing with Chrome, at least for now.
even ARM revoked their IP license to Huawei.

Ditching my broke-ass screen 5S. It served me well for the last 2 years considering it was second hand and only £80.
Got a deal on a 6S on eBay for £100, hopefully get another two years out of that and by then Apple will bring back the 3.5mm jack, right? Right? Please tell me it's coming back?

Question lads, so you see how the battery in my phone progressively gets worse, does the same thing apply to headphones

By Kidjr Go To PostQuestion lads, so you see how the battery in my phone progressively gets worse, does the same thing apply to headphonesare you talking about just the speakers? They actually get slightly better over time (this is a point of contention for some though) and shouldn't really degrade unless you blow them out.

So these headphone I paid x for were only ever going to last s long?
Thats incredible, surely they should be offering me some kind of replacement after x years?
We're not even talking a decade here, I can feel the difference in battery life 9 months in. So I can appreciate things like TV's eventually need to be replaced (although I'm sure we all know people rocking the same TV for like 15 years) but they're selling me a dying product.

Sorry my initial post wasnt clear, as I was referring to battery life.
Yeah, batteries only last for so many recharges. That's why I generally prefer gadgets that have replaceable batteries. Depending on what battery tech they use, the rate of battery degradation will be different, but they all degrade. This article is old, but still relevant: https://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/gadgets/how-to/a7432/why-your-gadgets-batteries-degrade-over-time-6705747/
Lithium-ion and even newer lithium-polymer batteries have a nasty habit of losing capacity over time or, worse, dying altogether.
Any battery issue is by definition a chemistry problem. In a healthy battery, ions flow freely between a cathode and an anode. Charging a battery forces ions from the cathode to the anode; using the battery reverses the flow.
Over time, this process wears out the cathode, which results in reduced capacity. A high-end lithium-polymer battery can lose about 20 percent of its capacity after 1000 charge cycles. Another way to think of this is to imagine that every time you recharge your laptop, you shave a few seconds off its maximum battery life. Erratic charging and heat speed up this degradation.
And batteries degrade even if you don't use them. According to battery-testing firm Cadex Electronics, a fully charged lithium-ion battery will lose about 20 percent of its capacity after a year of typical storage. Increase the temperature to just above 100 degrees Fahrenheit as in a hot attic, for example and that number is 35 percent.
On the other hand, an empty battery pack can eventually fall into "deep discharge," at which point the battery's protection circuit intended to prevent power from reaching defective battery cells is triggered. This leaves the battery unable to charge at all.
