It's a Star Wars live action show that's going to be legally unavailable in most countries, interest will be very high.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostGet your VPNs out. Disney sounds like the type to send 4 alerts to your ISP in one day
Trailer coming today. This has the potential to be the most pirated tv show of all times.
Fuck. They're really giving my girl Kamala the Inhumans treatment
By Not Go To PostThat poster is wild, September really is best month.
We back
Sure Kev. Just like Matt Murdock was going to hang out with Thor
We're never seeing any of the Defenders again
Feige wasn't involved with the Netflix shows.
They can't touch on any of the Defenders for a few years.

What is the rating on this show?
By s y ngmi Go To PostPG
Shame. Obviously it is Disney, but a solid 15 would have been great.
Damn. The Mandalorian looks good. Ugh.
Plus this:
Imagine how cool all this would be if there was still competition in the entertainment business

All Star Wars stuff is going to be "family" content
By LFMartins86 Go To PostFeige wasn't involved with the Netflix shows.Dollars to donuts he's not "involved" in these either. He's always been a Theatrical Theodore
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostWaitPedro Pascal, Ming-Na Wen, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi
Was that Werner Herzog?
I really hope this sucks because otherwise I'm going to have to give Disney seven dollars in November.
Family content movies do well, but I always feel shows aimed at older audiences do the best.
I am sure Disney+ will be popular in family households, but if you are a childless household I see no appeal in Disney+. Who is paying all that money a month for a live action Lady and The Tramp. I would love to see a Star Wars aimed at an older audeience, along with Loki.

I can't believe the service created to keep people from pirating Family Guy is going to be Disney's new Touchstone

Didn't know about Hulu. Will be interesting to see what they come up with.

finally watched the last Always Sunny season finale
That was certainly interesting. Looking at the internet it pissed off the usual crowd so that's a win at least.

Would be nice if these legacy entertainment companies placed a bigger emphasis on the underlying streaming product. Both HBO Now and Hulu are horrendously put together
Say what you will about the content, the fact that Netflix has the best user experience on the widest possible array of hardware is a massive advantage regardless of the actual output

Hulu has been putting in the effort. Their re-design the past 12-24 months has been a massive undertaking. Whether you put it on par with Netflix, I don't know -- I'm not sure I do -- but it is an improvement over their original experience. Netflix does iterate on their UX on a seemingly constant basis without any sort of announcement or fanfare that it will happen -- they just do it.
HBO is just a lost cause. Amazon Prime Video's UI sucks.
FWIW, this does cover the exact subject and how Disney is addressing it:

Eh. Looks like Prime Video with a vertical nav on the left.

Hulu definitely looks cleaner now than ever before, but the recommendations page is a slog to get through (who thought 1 rec per screen/swipe is a good idea??)
I think HBO Now actually looks quite nice but the performance is unacceptable.
Netflix's advantage in this department is pretty staggering, and unless these companies are willing to hire hundreds of designers, product managers, and engineers, the gap isn't closing any time soon.

To be honest, the main reason why I prefer all TV series to go to Netflix is because of the sweet skip intro button.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostDisney + has one thing I really like, extra features like you see on disc releases.Yeah this is cool. Wonder if they'll add subtitles for the special features too.
