Never watched peaky blinders, not a fan of the Brummie accent but people rave about it. Is it cookie cutter shit or actually good TV?

don't waste your time lol.
Uh, anyone been watching Succession btw? Seems like The Office but set in a harsher Wall Street environment.

Saw it advertised for the first time a few months back, so finally decided to start it today.
Really is as cringy as The Office. I can't stand Roman, Tom, and Greg.

They're awful but entirely on purpose. It takes about 4 eps for things to fall into place and after that it gets very good. God I love Brian Cox.
:lol
I didn't actually realise he was Scottish.

Enjoying Carnival Row. It's 100% exactly what you probably think it is. Heavy handed civil rights metaphors in a fantasy setting but with what has to be an insane budget. Seriously hope The Boys can get some of this money because this is a damn good looking show from a production design stand point. Had no idea Cara Delevingne wasn't American or is this an accent she's putting on? It didn't sound bad to me but euro boys would have to comment on that.

She's super (South Eastern) English.

Brian Cox is one of my favourite actors in the world. Improves everything he’s in by 20%.
Purposefully a twat tho. Lovely telly, that was.

Just finished episode 7, really dialed down the cringe factor. Episode 6 was very good.
By L1NETT Go To Postthis is a good television program
this remains my favourite television program
i hope this is good
They all look good as fuck.
Been watching Snowfall and man is it good, the first season was decent but the 2nd season is incredible.

It’s dope
There's better series but Peaky Blinders is well worth watching for the performances especially Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy.
I'm finding Carnival Row weirdly ok. As in it's nothing great but I don't hate it. Was very much expecting to hate it.
Season 3 of Snowfall has one of the most gritty episodes of TV I've seen in awhile, shows just how damaging the crack era was without sugar coating it. John Singleton outdid himself.
Damson Idris is a great young actor too.

It absolutely ruled

i liked peaky blinders as a former brum resident and general brum enthusiast for not being london/manchester show v 10003
however seasons 3-5 have divulged into a glossy, jejune, substancless soup of pop music, soul tightening dialogue and soap opera through lines.
that russia plot with paddy considine was a fruitless, flaccid example.
and i ain't a massive stickler for accents but ada/polly's/michael's are awful
that said arthur is a great character and i would prefer a show of him and his moustache while the rest piddle off.

I can't believe Damson Idris is from Peckham, he has a very good LA accent that gets better as the show goes on. Be on the lookout for him in the future, he's probably my favorite young actor off the strength of what he's done in Snowfall.
By Cleff Go To PostEnjoy masturbating to Thatcher, lads.😡😡😡
By Fenderputty Go To PostAnyone watch D A R K?Yea, it's gud. It takes its sci-fi very seriously and the young actors are pretty good. Do not watch it dubbed, put on the subtitles.

May try both. I hate that subtitles distract from what’s on screen at times and makes viewing more of a chore.
The dub will distract you more, it's really off. Plus the German language has its own candor that would get lost with bad English VA.
