My favorite games of this year so far have not been what I would have expected
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 2 jank edition
Duke Nukem 3d with girl who hates lgbt
Hitman but with Goose
World of Warcraft but old
Yakuza but not quite
Hotline Police Quest
Hotline Samurai
Weird golf shit

Don’t think I’ve really played many new releases this year besides DMC5 and Apex. DMC5 was the best shit I’ve played in some time though.
I played some Metro Exodus and despite really liking the first two, it didn’t really pull me in like I thought it would.
Non-new releases, Forza Horizon 4. Blimey that’s a good game. Counting on The Outer Worlds and DOOM Eternal for the rest of this year.

I haven't played Horizon 4 yet. I liked what I played of 3 a lot, but I think I was a little overwhelmed. I'll get to it eventually. I'll get a Switch eventually too, just not that motivated by consoles lately. Not really done that much gaming this year in general really.
Doom and Planet zoo are the only possible contenders I could see for the rest of the year. But I also didn't know what Daymare was until Aris played it, and I love that game.

By Laboured Go To PostShadowkeep rocking that 64 Metacritic.I can understand the poor metacritic if the new content is sparse, but it's good if you haven't played it since the OG.
Quite happy with Forsaken, and there's shitload of content I haven't gone through.
The way they've repackaged the campaign makes the game world sound even more disjointed than when it first released, which is actually quite impressive.
Beat the story for base game of MUA3 last night. Script is hilariously awful. Probably not much different than the movies, tbh. So much left to do (trials, gauntlet, expansion stuff). Combat feels pretty good for this type of game and there are lots of reasons to level the different characters other than your favorites. Will probably be playing this off and on for a couple years.

They wanted new players to be Guardians who has just been woken up, rather than those who went through the original campaign and etc. They can learn about what happened in the Destiny campaigns from lore, regular players, and playing the campaign, if they choose to.
It's a really good idea, but of course they failed at the execution, because nobody wants to feel left out.
They should have given players the choice from the beginning; either join the 'adventure mode' or start from Destiny 2's original campaign.
Execution of the campaigns are really good though, especially after Borderlands 3 and DMCV this year. Not as good as XCOM 2, but at this stage I'd take anything with a story that doesnt fall apart the moment that you give some thought into it.
By HasphatsAnts Go To Posthigh key regretting my decision to play Fire Emblem in casual mode.
honestly, you're just gonna save scum anyway
and the amount of cheese time rewinds you earn by the end of the game is absurd, so it might as well be casual
I guess so.
I'm on chapter 8 and maybe the difficulty ramps up later, but I'm employing some really dumb suicide cheese with this optional boss that, had I been playing on perma death, wouldn't be feasible.

are you playing on hard? battles get noticeably tougher after the timeskip, tho on casual you can kamikaze your way out of binds.
no i was a pansy and decided to play on normal. :/
don't get why you can't switch difficulty mid game. It's just numbers innit?

you get fewer chances to do side battles on hard so it is a more than a pure numbers thing.
honestly chapter 8 isn't that far in, you could restart with a different house on hard/classic and get back to where you are in not that much time

Not all guardians created equal. If they wanted to kill gods and stop unstoppable viruses they shoulda woken up sooner smh.
It's not bad it's just not destiny
like seeing an ex. They're doing well and looking great but you're both genuinely better off with other people.

That makes Telltale the new boyfriend, which means the ex is fucking a corpse and it's still preferable

I can understand the appeal of TVHM mode but the campaign is a slog. Will be back in once they find a way to implement an adventure mode.

Super easy to get into.
Enjoying Link's Awakening so much right now.

big week for China in the PR game
Bastion & Transistor were both super cheap on the Switch so I bought both. I was initially going to get Gucamelee 2 but I missed the sale. Hopefully it goes on sale again around Christmas.
