By Smokey Go To Postbeen fine for me tbh. zero hassle.I had moderate issues with it in Hitman 2016, but every other game with it has been fine. It’s not like consoles are without HDR issues, with games getting released with fake HDR and shit like that (Nier, RDR).
By Adam Go To PostVapes is SFFmokeySpeaking of which, Sliger, the makers of the Cerberus MATX and ATX SFF cases have turned their hand to ITX cases now and shit's shaping up nicely.
Pictured is the SM550. Housing a two slot GPU with 2 120mm fans underneath for airflow. However there's going to be 4 models total.
SM550: 2 slot, air cooled (2x 120mm fans)No exact specs on size, but with the option for a triple slot GPU and a 280mm AIO, what more could you ask for in a gaming PC? More PCIE slots? SLI is dead and nobody in 2019 is using a sound card.
SM560: 3 slot, air cooled (2x 140mm fans)
SM570: 2 slot, 240mm AIO on top + 2x 120mm fans in bottom (4x 120mm fans total)
SM580: 3 slot, 280mm AIO on top + 2x 140mm fans in bottom (4x 140mm fans total)
Unannounced, but also promised is a vertical ITX case featuring room for a 360mm AIO.
Meanwhile, all the ATX cases look like this with different front panels.
Or worse...
I'm actually using a sound card as its still very rare for onboard solutions to offer DTS Connect. I have 5 hard drives, and nonrestrictive airflow is a large factor. Just because an ITX case lets you mount a large radiator doesn't mean it's not suffocating it.
ITX is cool tho

That guy is literally Smokey's goal--selling 30k PC's and being a "#1 overclocker in the world."

By diehard Go To Postthat system is stupid.
Nah, m8. It's perfect for a father and son to use simultaneously. Trust in 8Pack.
By rodeoclown Go To PostI'm getting there. I'm now thinking, yeah, I should just buy Gears 5 digital because play anywhere and my pc will run it better. If you do, add me
I loved Gears 4, just had no one to play with
By Rob Go To PostIf you do, add meOh, I'm definitely buying it. Gears is one of my favorite series. I'm playing 4 again on PC right now and it looks pretty stunning.

Definitely getting Gears 4 considering Game Pass is only 1 dollar.
Still need an Xbox controller though. I should hint that to my siblings for my birthday next month.

By Flutter Go To PostDefinitely getting Gears 4 considering Game Pass is only 1 dollar. You can straight up buy a Gears 4 key for about $4 these days. It is easily worth that if you can spare the 130 gb download.

How about Forza Horizon 3?
By Flutter Go To Postooooh. Yeah, will definitely try and find one.FH games don't really go on sale that much. FH3 was just on sale on the Windows Store for $25 a couple weeks ago and that's as low as it's ever been. Keys are usually about what it retails for these $40.
How about Forza Horizon 3?
You can get an FH4 key for about $35, though. The PC port is excellent.
Smokey, my man. Is it a rational decision to strap a 240mm AIO to my 2080Ti and download a new card BIOS for 360w power draw, then overclock tf out of it for a high 3DMark score?
had to move back to my parents house for a bit. I know you guys once said that powerline adapters aren't worth it, but is there something else I can do? can't have ethernet and wireless is trash, I keep losing connection.

It's not great, but it's better than having a shit connection.

Just get a long af cable and route it through the walls/floors to your computer.

Who said powerlines aren't worth it? They can be life savers
They are very much dependent on the electrical wiring in your house. It wouldn't hurt to try it and return it if its awful.
By DominicanPower Go To Postg403 or the Rival 310?
Having owned a Rival 310, not that one.
It’s a good mouse, worked well and looked nice. Shape wasn’t too good for my hand, but the killer was the rubber side grips. Within a year, the right rubber grip came off completely leaving all the glue residue stuck to the mouse and to my hand. Awful.
Even before it came off, the glue residue was already seeping out around the bottom edge, picking up fluff and dust making for a not very smooth glide over the mousepad.
Consider a G305, by the way. I’ve nothing but positive things to say for that mouse.

By Flutter Go To PostThe i7 2600 bottleneck is terrible, as expected.
Been terrible, but people love to cling to it.
Switched out the Corsair MM800 pad, k65 kb, and Dark Core wireless mouse back to the Logitech G613 wireless kb, Powerplay mouse pad, and g703. The Dark Core's battery is pretty bad compared to the wireless Logitech mice. Being able to have only one cord in the logi setup (the powerplay pad) is great, and not having to ever have a cable to charge the mouse is underrated.

I’m pretty happy with my G533 headset, G305 mouse and Anne Pro keyboard. Although the Anne Pro has developed a weird issue lately and may get replaced soon as I find an equally nice 60% board.

Offset sticks, better triggers, better PC support.
Thank you, come again.
By Adam Go To PostOffset sticks, better triggers, better PC support.I've been playing with onset sticks for over two decades with no issues. I switched to the Xbox controller for a time and didn't feel like I've gained ... anything. A matter of personal preference / what you're used to, as are the triggers. DS4 works perfectly fine on PC for me. I can live with XYAB.
Thank you, come again.
I'm not even going to discuss the face buttons, because we all know which one's are better.
DS4 forevah.
I really don't care one way or another.
The best controller can change depending on what you are trying to do/play.
For standard, twin-stick gamepads, I prefer XB1 Elite > SCUF PS4 Impact > 360 > XB1 > PS4. I have not tried the officially Sony licensed SCUF PS4 Vantage controller. I don't think it would be better than the Elite but more of a matter of taste.
The Steam controller is extremely useful for games that don't have easy gamepad support. I sometimes prefer it over even the XB1 Elite for shooter games.
Then there are the myriad of PC compatible gamepads and arcade sticks if you don't need analog sticks. Too many to list, but Hori <anything> is usually a high quality buy if you don't feel like doing research.
e: fixed names of the SCUF controller I've used and the Sony licensed one I haven't used

By Flutter Go To PostSo the best PC controller is still the Xbox One's?
Nah, it all depends. For general ease of use, it's the 360/X1 controller. For particular types of games, it's the DS4. For traditionally KB/M only games or those with very limited controller support, it's the Steam controller.
I've use all three. Still mainly use KB/M, but for DMC5 I'll be plugging the DS4 in. If I replay Fallout NV, i'll be using the Steam controller for maximum comfort. For most other things, I'll use the X1 controller for the simplicity of it.
