Good to see Max Landis being properly shit on by everyone. because as a person and an 'artist', he absolutely deserves it and to never come back from it.
This is the first week where I probably won't use my AMC A-list. Only MIB and Shaft..
Although I don't mind Shaft, isn't it gonna be on Netflix in like 2 weeks anyway? Wasn't that the deal they made?

Only outside the US. The Dead Don't Die is also out this week but it isn't reviewing well, still a lot better than that MIB trash.

I think you belong in jail along with every single 'fan' described in that article.
Joss Whedon is a certified trash director though. I can totally see JL going from mediocre to embarrassing because that guy cannot write nor direct a film.
The treatment of WW alone speaks volumes.

By s y ngmi Go To PostIs there even a Snyder cut considering he couldn't finish it because his kid died?
He says there is one but it needs work
By n8 dogg Go To PostAll that goodwill from Bojack Horseman down the toiletExactly what I was thinking
Yeah, Ewan McGregor is playing Danny and Mike Flanagan (Hush, Gerald's Game, Oculus, Haunting Of Hill House) is writing and directing.
By Laboured Go To PostTired of clowns like this taking the personal freedom route about they or their kids being innoculated. You know what personal freedom should come first? Others freedom from being fucking ill by some shit because healthy people refuse to get shots.
Marvel hires the worst designers because they know that movie is going to open to $150+ million dollars no matter what
The Eternals poster can just be black font on a white background and that movie is still gonna do 750m
"What makes this movie so violent? It apparently includes “multiple brutal rape scenes in its first 30 minutes.” An audience member who left, IndieWire writes, reportedly shouted, “She’s already been raped, we don’t need to see it again.” Critics who saw it at the Venice Film Festival last year also noted its extreme violence, with one critic calling it “some of the most atrocious on-screen violence in recent memory.”
Liked Us a lot. Why it works - whether or not you fall for its allegorical ideas - is because it’s so solid as a straight horror/thriller. Score and cinematography are out of this world, the performances uniformly brilliant (Lupita is sensational), and Peele is in utter control of every technical aspect. Its reach perhaps extends its grasp towards the end - the flashbacks required for the film’s full impact to sink in means its not as meticulously and clearly plotted as it might want to be - but it’s so full of brilliant ideas and gorgeous imagery. Really good.
Peele 2 for 2. Hit the mark, Aster and Eggers.

Before Sunrise is such a great movie. Seen it time and time again, still love it. Saw it today again because today would be the 25th anniversary of the day Jesse and Celine met, never saw the sequels though.
Sunset is the best but that ONE scene in Midnight is the greatest scene every in an American movie ever
By FortuneFaded Go To PostHow come n8 has such bad taste in films?
Imdb: 7.1
Letterboxd: 3.8/5
Rotten tomatoes: 94%, 7.95 avg
Consensus is that its a pretty good film.
Rotten Tomatoes I only lifted the critic score. What I’ve given above is:
- general populace (imdb)
- amateur film community (letterboxd)
- professional film community (rotten tomatoes)
So it doesn’t matter if you liked Us or not; but at least acknowledge if you didn’t you’re in the vast minority.

Just fighting fake news m8. It’s my responsibility as a human bean
By Hitch Go To PostThe Martian about as good as Us confirmed
I respect the right of anyone to like it
I just felt the reveal moment in Us was inordinately far-fecthed and it all unravels. Lots of 'moments' I liked in it tho.
Edit: sorry by reveal moment I don't mean that she is in fact the mirror version but the moment where this whole giovernement tethering exercise / project is sort of semi-explained.

I hated the scene where they were arguing about who should be driving the car by comparing how many of the things they had killed. Way to remove any tension or emotional weight behind what has happened.
