By rvy Go To Poston the plus side, I still marvel at the attachment ratio for shenmue on the dreamcast when I see microsoft or sony ejaculate over gears of war 1 selling 5 million or the last of us selling whatever. Gears sold 5 million on a console with a userbase of 80+ million people. That's considered a huge success, shenmue sold 1 million on a console that sold 10 million.
1/10 attachment rate is nothing special really. Almost every Nintendo Wii U game beat that easily.

More like 12.
Wii had 9 games with an attach rate over 10% while selling 100 million consoles. It's not that uncommon.
360 had 7
PS3 had 2
3DS had 9
DS had 7
Not really an amazing achievement when you make one of the most expensive games ever (at the time).
By HottestVapes Go To PostMario Kart 8 did what, 3.5+ million on the WiiU with an install base of? 12 million?I didn't say it wasn't though. The thing itself wasn't bad at all, online play in '99 is some crazy shit. Arcade perfect ports was fantastic. It had some great exclusives and it started the 2k sports thing, which easily gave EA that work considering the quality of the games. It was just caught up on sega having no money, publishers not supporting sega because they botched everything when they started releasing 32x type crap and the PS2 being the most hyped console ever. with a dvd player on top.
It was still a dreadful console, just like the Dreamcast.
By rvy Go To PostI didn't say it wasn't though.
Not implying otherwise, I just take any opportunity I get to beat a dead horse.
wiiu is actually far shittier than the dreamcast, if you think about it.
the saturn wasn't setting the world on fire in terms of sales, they didn't come off 100+ million consoles sold into the dreamcast.
but it let me play bayo 2, botw and tw101, so I can't hate on it.

The games, incredible. MK8, TW101, Bayonetta 2, DKC: Tropical Freeze, even SM3DW was a great game.
The Wii U as a console though, yeah, awful. It was incredibly backwards in design given it released in 2012. The UI, the way it handled accounts/download content, the whole premise of using the gamepad as second screen while playing games, as if we can focus our eyes on two separate screens at the same time.
By s y Go To PostToo bad it's a Far Cry game :/smokey poured hours into the last far cry game
I just got into HotS. Feel bad for people who are like 300+ and get matched with me for brawl. F'ed.
By Facism Go To PostSame boat. Saturn on the other hand? That was some gooooooood shit.
Yes m8.
By Smokey Go To PostUncharted Lost LegacyLost Legacy is the Tomb Raider game we deserve.
Chloe be talking her shit too
Ni No Kuni 2 is pretty great so far. Currently at the part where you have to save Tani from the Wyverns and I'm loving the combat system so far. It's it kind of easy but it doesn't feel completely braindead. Story moves kind of fast but I also appreciate the fact that it doesn't take 5 hours to get going.
By Smoke Dogg Go To PostTone deaf story? How? What does that even mean?If that doesn't make sense then I apologise. Should've use a different metaphor/simile/whatever it's called. Here's an excerpt though.
There's little sustained investigation of wider social factors, like the overlap between militant Christian extremism and white supremacy or sexism - indeed, the game generally ducks such questions. The cult's ranks are stocked with a mixture of races and genders, in what feels like a careful sanitising of the subject matter.
Oh shit, that review is on point, then.
Thanks for the excerpt.
Ubi must've had help from the ruling class to fend off a hostile takeover, so neutering far cry was part of the deal.
Edit: And I might actually have to check out Mafia III now.

By data Go To Postbut you liked HZD for several daysI'd probably like Far Cry for several minutes if it was third person tbh
By DY_nasty Go To Postit wouldn't surprise me at all if FC5 got watered down a bit after those early impressionsfrom the early impressions I saw they always had that one brother in their cult....
By s y Go To PostI'd probably like Far Cry for several minutes if it was third person tbhalways been a huge issue for me too
Had a tron of fun with 3. Most insane customization I've ever seen in a game. Maybe they'll finally put out a proper Western release.
starting to feel a slight overwatch itch, but the memory of the toxicity, the terrible team comps in solo queue's....can't do it

Reviews deserve a side eye in 2018
The user impressions are what matters, and nearly all have been positive. Theyve really encourage exploration and no towers is great. I'm also reading that it's a bit tough until about mid game when you get full capabilities of your NPC helpers.

Same for Sea of Thieves too right?
I haven't mentioned Sea of Thieves on my own in a minute. Partially because I haven't played it yet and I might wait until that first content update hits to do so. Like I've been saying, y'all care more about it all of a sudden then I do. Y'all don't mention a Xbox for weeks then all of a sudden it's on top of your fingers at slaent.
Do better ya trolls
Thank u

What's wrong with bantering about Sea of Thieves. It was a highly anticipated title that doesn't seem to be as good as people thought it was. That's the fun in it.
People did the same with other non-MS games here from what I've seen.
