Man, Metro LL gets trippy AF towards the end. Tension and freakouts like it’s Silent Hill or something, I’m digging it. The game’s world is so oppressive though...it has me 95% sure that despite what most videogames would have me believe, a post-apocalyptic wasteland would not be badass. I seriously couldn’t handle living in this world.

Always felt Bloodborne had that overly oppressive feel too. Genuinely couldn't finish the game because of it. Too much dark shit in that game for me to handle.

I mean Fallout is a big exception due the style and the over the top things the implemented, but in general I can't think of that many games that share that.
Dang... Bayo 1's camera is kinda jank. Was probably acceptable back when it first came out, but whew it sucks.
By Pennywise Go To PostAre there really alot of post-apocalyptic worlds that make you feel the opposite?I feel like there was a good solid run during the PS2 -> PS360 era where Neo Tokyo got destroyed at the beginning of every game. But it was like even still, the world of FIFA 2004 didn’t seem so scary and depressing, you know?

Looks far better than I expected it to.
Got Monster Hunter, it's pretty chill so far, just haven't done the 10 million menus game in forever.

I was honestly overwhelmed. I haven't done a rpg like that in a while. Even Diablo 3 the menus are diff. I like the game but I do not find the menus intuitive at all. I'll head over there (the thread) for sure to ask specific questions tho. Not used to the button layout either. Keep drinking potions on accident. And triangle as attack takes some getting used to also.

BLACK the FPS from the PS2/OG Xbox era, has been added into the BC program. It's on EA Access now. I remember that game being hyped up, and somewhat delivering.
Also, R6 Invitational

I've only played through the situations (on the last one), but I forgot how much I loved this series. Haven't played since the ps2 era. The online looks like lots of fun.
I need Socom back. 😔
Smokey, Black was legit. It's basically a Bay film in video game form. The guns felt good to use and, at the time, the environmental destruction was pretty cool.

I was a big fan of Black back in the day too. Avoid Bodycount, the pseudo-sequel tho, that was pretty bad.
By s y Go To PostIs there a reason behind why there's so much team killing in Siege?Because it’s allowed.

I just played it for about a hour. Got to the third mission. It's funny playing it today, and not having any of the touches of a modern day FPS. No waypoints. No ADS. Maps are open. There's primary and secondary missions. Sound design sounds good, even for today. Every enemy drops health, and they're all bullet sponges. Explosions everywhere. Controls feel clunky but to be expected.
Captured a vid:
That AK is crazy lol
Depth of field on the reload still looks great in it too. They set out to make a game that did to guns, what Burnout did for cars. They definitely achieved it.

I wasn’t in the mood for Metro’s bleakness tonight so I got back into Strider on PS4. I always loved that series, it had so much personality. Which is kind of why I hated this one, it seemed sterile and cheaply made; I’ve been sitting on it pretty much since the PS4 came out. It doesn’t help that in the early going you’re frequently overmatched, and the game just throws mountains of health items at you on every screen to compensate for the poor balance.
But I got over a hump to where I have most of the power ups, and it opens up the gameplay a lot. And the game actually controls super well, they nailed that aspect of it. I’m in a groove with it now, and to my surprise I’m actually quite enjoying it. I really thought it would sit at the bottom of my backlog until there was nothing else to play, but Inthink I’m probably going to finish it now.
