Incrementalism doesn't work because that's what the ACA was and it wasn't even that good of an increment, so, like, another decade wasted.
By Fenderputty Go To PostAre you fucking serious with this shit? My being bothered had everything to do with you coming ar me and nothing to do with the topic.get over it or don't lol
Here you go again with the Chinese efficient shit. Like I haven’t clairified my meaning a bajillion times. Same with open borders. More Hunter shit … you’re tiring … I’m tired.
If you’re going to misconstrue my words I’ll just stop discussing shit with you.
Take your own advice btw, start a “fuck Dems and incrementalist pigs” thread and you and RAU can go pat each other on the back about how much more informed you are than the rest of us.
you want to act like i'm rehashing shit, i will. but don't throw out some shit like
By Fenderputty Go To PostA crappy version of the liberal tea party wants to block a decent housing bill because developers and capitalism. You know the thing you keep saying we need on the left.and act as if people will just laugh it up with you because its so witty.
"lol these rambunctious poors"
"here we go again with the wanting things"
"the last thing we need is more socialism and red tape"
how exactly are people supposed to take shit like this? does it sound awesome to other people you know? the ones that don't have a fucking clue about american history as well? because its kinda insulting. i'm just saying. especially after i explain how absolutely idiotic that term is on every level.
who else but you does shit like that fender?
By Fenderputty Go To PostI’ll wait for the post that says this bill is perfect and without issues.is that what anyone said? lol fuck outta here
if the immediate dialogue wasn't "L M A O" and "here comes the liberal tea party complaining about capitalism again" then i wouldn't have shit to say would I?
but here we are being top tier democrats again
By DY_nasty Go To PostIt's not an even argument, last time we brought it up it became increasingly obvious that you lacked ALL context to the significance of that theme within American history. That's not a 'disagreement' lol. That's you chirping rhetoric popularized and streamlined since the 60s and now continuing to do so after -hopefully- grasping the entirety of those deliberate efforts. If you want to keep doing so after I have to legit teach after a significant amount of previous regulars have CLEARLY burnt the hell out doing so in the past, then go on. But let's not pretend other people are dicks because they're tired of repeating what should be common knowledge.
Unless you were trying to be funny. In that case tell better jokes….
Roll your eyes or whatever. If I wanted to "rehash" anything it'd be you propping up hunter with stuff like 'he has difficulty communicating his thoughts' when it's apparent he's just a lazy racist who thinks liking trees and hating Trump makes him a well informed democrat. Or I could rehash "with dems like these, who needs republicans" etc. Do I NEED to explain how ridiculous and hilarious it is to use "liberal tea party" unironically? Because you do it a lot - even before I made it a subject of discussion.
It's low key pretty fucking insulting especially considering what ideas and movements spawned from those dickbags after all
Fuck outta here bitch.
By curlyfries Go To PostI feel bad for Hunter tbhDon't feel bad, I can come off as a dick.
That was a funny line tho
But yo suck a dick for calling me racist and comparing me with the GOP.

chase liberal tea unicorns to a party. same thing. its dumb af. and ^ is the product
help him communicate better. since its easier to deal with his kind of dialogue at length than even entertain the idea that people may be opposed to a large shift in housing/zoning processes because of historical reasons or whatever. they're just loud idiots who complain too much about nothing every chance they get.

People don't block the development of new housing for funsies, and that's how the narrative started in the thread, with jabs of L M A O and "liberal tea party." The latter from a mod no less. This thread woooo.

By DY_nasty Go To Post100%? That's pretty hyperbolic and you know it lol. And yeah, that's also why I made the comment of "we'll address those gentrification concerns later" because its clearly not a priority now.
Its one thing to support the bill, but its another to ignore how this chops the legs out of something like JJJ and all of the other plans that've been running for years. This market trust is just…. why? lol
Outside of the "dedicating money to research" part, there are externalities to every addition they proposed.
No single bill is going to fix the fact that California needs 2 million additional housing units, but killing this bill in its tracks is a sure fire way to never get there.

Breh why would anyone laugh about an argument I’ve had with you? I’m not acting like I was trying to be funny. I’m acting like i was trying to have fun with you. You know, because we’ve argued about this shit about before. It’s b-ball thread level trolling and not personal. It never is and I’ve said this to you before. This isn’t an awful bill. It’s just not as good as public housing. We need anything we can get right now and blocking it isn’t the answer. Like you didn’t know my point.
When the fuck did you become the socialist? Why we acting like I don’t like massively socialized policy? Like you’re acting like I’m opposed to more section 8 housing or something.
I’m not sure you’re grasping how bad housing is in California either. I brought up Inglewood California earlier for a reason. It’s considered a poorer area. Pretty Bad schools. Pretty bad crime rate. Search it in Zillow. Search no min with max 700k for 1200 sqft house / townhouse and you get 14 results. 499k the lowest and only 7 under 600k. You lived there for 30 years and tell me you’re not cashing in. All of the area surrounding the cities are growing in value. 350k for Compton. Traffic blows, and people are willing to pay for anything closer to LA and Santa Monica / west side. It’s where all the high paying jobs are and the sprawl is brutal.
By DY_nasty Go To Post….come on lolNaw, it's pretty dire. Dropping this bill just to bullshit around for another two years for a better bill will fuck California even more. California added 400,000 new jobs last year alone, but housing is lagging behind even more. There's gotta be a baseline somewhere. It's dire enough.
By DY_nasty Go To Post….come on lolYou don't know how fucking powerful the nimbys around here are. I had no idea until i moved out here. This is the most powerful wedge issue in California and on one side we've got essentially every family that bought a house from 1970 til now.
Totally fucked.

I’m not sure why you act like I’m protecting him or something. I’m a pragmatist. I didn’t agree with him regarding the bill. These two things can occur.
I think I’ve explained myself well enough in my last post regarding the need for any housing and especially housing to help reduce traffic.

I honestly thought liberal tea party was basically a fuck the lakers version of conversation starter between the two of us because of how much we’ve discussed this over the years. /shrug
Oh word.
So there was no discussion so dumb that even blackace had to jump in and remind people about how the red scare enabled and energized anything resembling socialist principles?
So it's either we're not remembering that whole tired bit of history refreshers or you don't know or care how 'liberal tea party' and 'chasing unicorns' lines up - and how both lead to a straight up "lighthearted" jab at groups who exist because of historical screw jobs and push a lot of the reform that others are too scared to stand behind until it's popular and accepted. Yeah, I think I got that right.
At least hasphats has evolved the conversation past "LMAO". You're still trying to do whatever the hell this is.

You think ace informed me about the red scare? Sometimes I think you and I are having differwnt conversations and we or I don’t know it.
Man ... I just posted a ton of actual stuff regarding housing and how fucked it is. So I don’t know what your lMAO” comment is about.
I had no idea you would take that comment so personally. FWIW I won’t use it again.
While we were all busy not getting along,
This seems as bad as guns but for completely different reasons.

What people don't realise about this so called trade war is that the Chinese Government has been waging this war for over 20 years. Only reason they care now is because the other political side is fighting back against it.

China at it's height was vastly more powerful compared to the world. So much that they retreated to their empire because everyone else was so primitive. Nuclear weapons also make that type of foreign policy kinda hard as does the global dependence on trade. Hence why trade wars are bad.
"In the clip, NRA-TV host Colion Noir lashed out at the teens who survived last month’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, mocking them for their youth and even taunting them about the deaths of their classmates."
A pox on your houses.

Not gonna make it to the march in D.C. today. 😔 Good on the kids for making it happen. They sure as shit weren't getting help beforehand.
These politicians are cowards. Got so shook of kids and young adults, that they threw together whatever they could, just to leave town. Lmao.

The NIMBYs where I live in Vancouver, WA are the worst I’ve encountered so far. These turds would rather spend hours in traffic commuting to Portland every day than pay their fair share to fix a damn bridge. Why? Because they either claim that it’s not a suburb or (the truth) because they don’t want to pay to extend the light rail and let the undesirables in. But you can predict the traffic patterns like damned clockwork and the whole place turns into a ghost town during the day 🧐
Not shocked at all that Killer Mike is willingly being used as a pawn, by the NRA. Same as the other black folks they're "reaching out to". Using the everyday plight of black people as counter propaganda against the march is some scumbag shit. They should fucking know better, considering the NRA has been using minorities as a call to arms, for white gun owners, and they never said shit about Philando getting murdered in the front of his family.
That’s just how minorities are and why we’ll always stay ain’t shit. If one white person says something nice to us then it’s “fuck yall I made it”
On a side note, one of the managers at my job was ranting about the march saying “why should I get my loaded AR taken away bc a few crazy people” I once posted what my job is so if anyone ever saw that post then you’ll laugh at this fucking moron.

My sister was probably at that march in D.C.
She goes to all the frigging marches even though she had homework for some program her job makes her take.
She's still the only one out of the family who has met Bill Nye, too. Sometimes I think she caught a bit of that rebel in the family from me.

An obviously shaken Jace Daily stares at her own target. Six of her shots hit the child in the head.☠️☠️☠️
"It's not very good," she admits. "When I first came up [to the target], of course I looked at my misses. I looked at that precious little baby and all the holes in his head. I obviously did some damage to the bad guy too."
She pauses and takes a deep breath.
"I need some practice," she concludes.
Her training would probably go out the window anyway in a real life situation without the experience beforehand.
