This seems ridiculously dumb and maybe illegal: Florida Shop Crashes a Guy's Audi S4 But Wants His Insurance to Pay For It
I wonder if the hit on their reputation is going to be worth it in the long run too.
For real?

And wtf nearly 300k for a huracan I know that's $ but that's toppy, you can't be talking base model?
The only difference between the two cars is how they're aligned. One is setup for oversteer. The other for understeer. It's basically Toyota GT86 vs. Subaru BRZ. Just imagine paying 60K for the Toyota. LOL.
Everything between the two cars is interchangeable mechanically.
Took a few test drives for my future family car...
2015 BMW X5 35i sDrive (RWD)
This was on my list of cars to check out because it's handsome, and I expected the interior to be very solid. I also expected solid performance. Basically, I was wrong on all counts. The sDrive cars are RWD models, and typically lower optioned. But I still wanted to get a feel for the X5 with the N55 I6 just to see if I'd be happy with it. The answer is definite no. The power simply doesn't cut it for a car that weighs 4700lbs. I can't imagine how much slower the heavier AWD models are, especially with larger parasitic drivetrain losses. Furthermore, the worst part of this car may have been the interior. There were cheap plastics everywhere. This being a non-sport model car, it had the ugly chunky steering wheel with the cheap fake vinyl wrapped wheel rim. There was a prominent plastic rattle from somewhere on the dashboard. Dynamically, the car was worse than I expected for a BMW too - very poor steering feel. Basically, after the 10 minute drive, I failed to see redeeming qualities.
I don't remember if higher end X5s have extended leather and better interiors, so I'm hoping if I get to test drive a twin turbo V8 model, the interior on that impresses more - I know at least the performance will.
Jaguar XJ Portfolio
I've driven these before, but it's been a while and I needed a refresher. It's still everything I remembered it to be. Terrific driving car, simple yet extremely classic interior, great power, great handling, absolutely hush interior, choppy roads were seemingly ignored by the suspension. Not a whole lot to complain about really. It's still one of the top of my list.
Range Rover Sport HSE
Man...this was a wildcard, especially since it's more than I want to spend. But I really, really fell in love with this car. First of all, it's incredible that for similar money when new, the interior of the Range is leaps and bounds ahead of the BMW X5. Honestly, it's not even funny how much better looking, feeling, and fitting everything is on the RR Sport. It's almost the difference between a loaded Toyota Avalon to a Lexus GS, the RR is noticeably far ahead. The X5 may have a better infotainment system with iDrive, but the Range Rover's unit does its job just fine and once again, it prefers simplicity over convoluted menus and excessive options. I liked how surrounding the screen were touch sensitive icons, instead of physical buttons like my XF has. I loved the air suspension too. The AJ series Supercharged V6 is a much, much better suited motor for hauling around the RR Sport, which weighs almost the same as the X5.
I can gush and gush, but seriously...I need this Range Rover in my life. That is all.

By AlphaSnacks Go To PostYou mean 2019?
Way too expensive and they will lease like shit.
Yeah, the new model.
I'm experiencing some frustration with the quality and condition of the roads and surfaces and I have never been more aware of it than I am right now in this TTRS. Basically I've become somewhat paranoid that I am going to pop a tire and break a wheel and am not using the car in all of the situations that I would like. A couple of jaunts on my favorite back-roads recently have really bummed me out (and stressed me out with emergency maneuvers to avoid pot-holes) and have me re-thinking the TTRS as the right fit for my situation.
It's a fantastic car and I like it very much but I'm looking at CPO Macan's again. I am sure this fact will drive my wife crazy but if I am going to be paying this much money for a vehicle then I want it to be fun, nice and as useable as possible in all of the situations that I would want to use it in.
I could invest in a smaller set of tires and wheels but anything decent is going to still cost me north of 2 grand and will not look as good as what's on there now (because I really like the stock wheels!). Anyway, we'll see.

Alpha keep on mind the twin turbo V8 from BMW is a ticking time bomb that will only last 50-100K before blowing up. One of the worst engines from a reliability standpoint in modern cars.
Modern big BMWs suck. They triedbto play Audi's game and failed.

Doing a small roadtrip down the CA1 to Monterey and PCH right now... and phew. What a car. I'm in love.
I can't even slightly speed up out of an exit back onto the CA1 without the back sliding out, what a lovely feeling. Glad I got the RWD model.

It'd be a CarMax MaxCare car. Not taking any chances with any used car I buy.
That Jag is the most glorious car in this thread. Love the color too. What an awesome car. Congrats!!
Speaking of Jaguar I am somewhat curious to go and drive an XE 35t R Sport. The same dealership that I test drove the F-Type R 'vert at has a 2017 CPO at the moment. If I have some time this weekend I might go and check it out.

By Lunatic Go To PostTruly though, the F-Type is probably the most beautiful attainable modern car.Truth. Still turns my head whenever I see one out in the wild. There's actually a 2017 SVR at a Porsche dealership near my right now for $84k with only 7k miles which seems stupidly cheap. I checked the Carfax and although it lists no accidents it does have a damage report so it's had at least some sort of minor repair. Still, heck of a deal if someone were so inclined.
Speaking of Porsche dealerships I am probably going to visit one of my local ones this weekend. There's a couple of vehicles I want to check out closely including a Macan GTS and one other which I shall not name at this time for various reasons. I realized that although I've driven one in anger around the PEC in Atlanta I've never actually experienced the Macan as a regular vehicle in normal mode. Maybe it will be boring? I do want to at least check it out.
I got a chance to drive a Hellcat earlier, albeit at parking lot speeds, and what the fuck... the clutch on that thing is just a smidgen heavier than my GTI and Miata.
Meanwhile the Mustang GT next to it had a clutch as heavy as any Scooby lmao.

By rossonero Go To PostNot really, it's a beauty. Such a nice car. Some interior shots next? Will do!
By matmanx1 Go To PostGorgeous! Are those 20" wheels? And what tires are currently on it?Yes! Debating whether to get them repainted to a gunmetal. They're on Pirelli P-Zeros which are runflats (yuck) so need to put some Michelin SupperSport or PilotSport on there.

Trust me m8, the user data on this site is useless. Unless you think selling Wooden's horse porn posts is worth something.
At least you don't deny trying!
Also woodens horse porn research could actually be of some use for his people. Knowing how long a horses phallus based on breed can save many lives.

Dammit, Reilo. Now I need to find places I can park my soon to arrive (*crosses fingers*) Cayman along the scenic highway near my house to take good looking pictures.
Prepare for a Porsche resting under the shade of oak and (maybe?!) cypress trees, fellas. Could be some magnolia trees in the shot, too.
