By DY_nasty Go To PostLittlefinger went out likeArya and Sansa played him as I thought.
highlights include Jamie breaking free (3 seasons late but its better than nothing), airing incest on TV, both Lannister siblings scenes, and the Starks playing Littlefinger for a fool
By s y Go To PostPretty shit finale for the most part
Edit: Did they use Dany's brother actor for Rhaegar?
i think they just gave him viserys' wig
By Xpike Go To Postafter last weeks shitshow I thought that was a pretty great episodeI, too, like the taste of pig slop after weeks of surviving off pig shit.
But honestly: it was fine. It was very OK. It was perfectly adequate. It was exactly what you expected, and that's acceptable, I suppose, if disappointing. It's a TV show, and that's what they almost always do: satisfy you in an insubstantial way.

Great episode
what was the first five minutes with the Unsullied and Dothraki marching onto the Lanister defenses? Last time we see Grey Worm he is fucked. I thought it was a flash forward to Cersei reneging on the deal but I guess it was just a poor setup for the meeting at King's Landing. It was like something they cut from two episodes ago.

By RATHasReturned Go To PostArya as Littlefinger goes into Kings Landing and kills Cersei.
You heard it here first.
Arya might kill Jamie since he's headed up to her ... use his face. Fulfill the prophesy. She dies before that third baby is born.
John is boning his aunt.
Season 8 Clegane bowl
Kinda suspected the sisters working together to play LF. Arya is gonna use that face wisely. Sansa finally stopped being played. Bran finally served a purpose.
WW Dragon looks leveled up.
Curious why Tyron was so bothered John was getting his bone on. It's not because he knows johns fucking his aunt.
All in all, a great finale. We've had so much action it was a nice change of pace. I would say the season was decent. The finale was great and the battle scenes were fantastic. The pacing blew, and too much relied on suspension of disbelief as well.
Amazing episode. They Def had some dumb story lines this season but they closed them all acceptably imo.
I'm thinking Tyrion told cersei that he will make sure Cersei's baby will be the successor to Dany if Cersei agrees to the truce but now he saw aegon/Dany committing incest and is scared they may have a kid of their own. Otherwise why the fuck was he staring all pissed at the door? Lol

I suppose that was fine. Set the table with no real surprises outside of Littlefinger.
I wonder what the plan was for the White Walkers to get past the wall prior to the dragon. That would explain their south bound pace the last six years, but the wall is protected by magic, right? So the magic just goes away when the wall comes down? I guess that makes sense.
The Reek scene on the beach seemed pointless and out of place. Who cares about his sister at this point? Who cares about him?
I think they dropped the ball with Greyworm and Euron. They were both just left in exposition limbo for four weeks without an explanation.
The double cross by Cercei to have Euron sail for more troops is probably the highlight of the entire episode because that will clearly be the main conflict for the early part of next season.
The White Walkers don't speak (yet!) so they'll be nothing more than stunt props and kindling before they're eliminated completely. That's boring.

Haven't watched the new ep just yet but just saw someone on twitter ask about last week, why they didn't just wait for Thoros to turn and then bring him to Cersei. Would have been a lot easier :lol

My theory is that he promised them that House Lannister will remain and her offspring would be ligitimised
Cersei seemed to be implying that she hoped everyone knew that she was marching the army north without assurances. Like don't kill me once you come with your dragons.
Littlefinger/the truth of Jon/ and the WW dragon were all worth the wait.
I wonder how Dany and Jon will react to the news.
Obviously Dany is gonna call bullshit as it undermines her claim, but I am sure she wouldn't care about the incest part. Reading her first chapter in the book the other day and I think she said she was expecting to marry her brother.
I think John would be disgusted by it.

jon didn't even want to be lord commander of the nights watch or king of the north, i doubt he cares much about being king of westeros.
So what was the point of killing brans personality again? Did they not want to pay Meera's actress? The fuck?
By s y Go To PostSo what was the point of killing brans personality again? Did they not want to pay Meera's actress? The fuck?
there is no bran, only the three eyed raven
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
They don't even want to pay bran. He showed up in like 4 scenes for a combined 2 minutes this season
I don't think he'd claim the throne as his own. Every time he leads it's because he is chosen to lead, not because he desires it or because of his status. I don't see a him vs her conflict to last for more than a second.
Whether or not they stay together is another question.

Jamie is on a horse up north with no Army or with minimal forces. Her plans were foiled the moment she didn't kill him.

He's boning the lady of the show who's entire arc has been reclaim her throne and become ruler of Westeros. He's doing this as a the King of the North who has bent the knee and given her legitimacy.
By s y Go To PostSo what was the point of killing brans personality again? Did they not want to pay Meera's actress? The fuck?Bran had a glowing personality worth pining over? Meera's purpose was served and her hard work when unappreciated by him. What are you looking for from that dynamic at this point in time? You like her that much that you want to see her pushing him around in his wheelchair?
But also about the incest part.
I am sure Dany is cool with it. But would Aegon be up for continuing once he finds out.

By s y Go To PostSo what was the point of killing brans personality again? Did they not want to pay Meera's actress? The fuck?
Point? I don't understand what you mean by point? Bran can't give a damn. It's like hearing about a flood across the world. You don't let it affect you on the daily. He gets everything though. He cares about nothing as a result. If each time you lose someone it gets easier to lose someone, he's become numb because he's experienced everyone dying. He sees everyone loves, hate etc etc. Bran acting like he gives a fuck about the minutia of human life would make less sense than him becoming a robot. Him treating Meera so casually because he can only understand what it was once like to feel conveys this.

It's aunt / nephew
Even in our world, we had relationships like this in the dark ages. Royal families were all about that cousin love. I don't think it's going to be that big of an issue, honestly. The only thing looked down on is the brother sisters things the Lanisters have going. Even then, I think there were moments in the show were they explained that this has been accepted at times in Westeros as well. I believe they mentioned the Targaryen line had a lot of incest to keep the blood pure and it's a reason they all have the silver hair.
By Xpike Go To Postcharacter development over being able to see everything and everyone at everytime? But it didnt go anywhere?
Bran's character was only developed enough that it had some impact when he went full robot. He was never a fully fleshed out character.
Hoe ass LF going out crying was jokes. "I loved your mother. GUARD! It was all for you Sansa. GUARD!"
Cersei being the ultimate big bad is cool, but she's lowkey fucked without Jaime. Time will tell if he snitches. Speaking of, Tyrion can't possibly be stupid enough to believe she's going to honor that truce. Chick blew everyone up without a second thought.
Seto Night King really got a blue eyes white dragon. Team white walker is looking strong af.
Tormund made it, right? :(

Cersei blew it by not killing him.
Yes ... Tormund ran and got to the section of the wall that didn't crumble just as it was falling.
Even before Sunday’s finale gets figured in, HBO calculates that episodes of the show’s seventh season are averaging a best-ever 30.6 million viewers across multiple platforms. That’s nearly 8 million viewers (and a whopping 35 percent) ahead of the same point last season, when the network estimated the show’s pre-finale audience at 23.3 million viewers. After the season-six finale, that number ultimately rose another 11 percent, to 26 million viewers. Assuming the same sort of growth — we’ll update this post with same-day numbers for “The Dragon and the Wolf” from Nielsen when they arrive — it seems a safe bet that season seven will end up with an average gross audience north of 33 million viewers.
This show is nuts!
