By diehard Go To PostDanny wins another oneBy trading away a top 3 draft pick in a loaded draft and acquiring a PG that, if lucky, will break 60 games played in a season?
I feel like lost in this whole IT2 being injured thing is how injury prone Kyrie is.
Kyrie has had as many healthy seasons as he's had injury plagued seasons...which isn't good. Ainge gave up too much(especially when he could have just drafted Fultz) but for someone who suddenly wants to win now, replacing IT2 with Kyrie isn't the most terrible thing in the world. He's still pretty young.
By reilo Go To PostThe Nets aren't good.they won't be the worst team in the league. I wouldn't be surprised if that pick ends up being around 10.
The Nets have two players over the height of 6'9 and they're named Jarrett Allen and Timofey Mogzov.
It's a smaller league these days but D'Lo and Crabbe aren't good defensively and Demarre Carroll and their "bigs" aren't good enough to stop-gap that sieve on the interior.
Who the damn hell will be worse than the Nets? lol

Philly could break at any second, idk about the Lakers. They could be some trash.

Phoenix won more games in a tougher conference last year and they improved via the draft.
Chicago is probably only one I can see being that much worse than the Nets.
Orlando won a whopping 9 more games than the Nets last season and they were already terrible.
Nets aren't gonna be good. I wouldn't be shocked if they lost more games.

Nets also lost Brook Lopez who is easily the best player by a country mile in comparison to whomever they acquired.
Nobody is saying the Nets will be good. Atlanta should be worse, also.
Lin being healthy will be important.

But in order for Nets to be better than those teams they would need to
a) Improve from last year by some sort of noticeable margin, which is highly doubtful to me. Even a 4-win improvement by the Nets seems ridiculous.
b) Those other teams to be significantly worse than they were last year, as in win somewhere between 10-30 games less than they did a year ago
It's questionable to me that beyond Chicago, that any of those teams mentioned thus far will bottom out like that.

Their record with Lin was actually not putrid. I really don't think getting to 24 wins is ridiculous.

Doubtful Lin sees much PT with D'Lo and Crabbe on the roster, and it's a combination of Lin and Lopez that made them look not putrid, but again, they lost Lopez who's easily the best player among the group that's been exchanged and it's not close.
They have two dudes above 6'9, and both of those dudes should be in China or Russia.

What's great about all these bad teams competing for worst record is that none of them are even tanking. They gambled to be competitive and lost and their result is a shell of what they were. The Bulls are the closest to an actual tank job but their front office is just bad.

They literally shut down Bledsoe and didn't even bother to give a reason
By The Frankman Go To PostNo one picking up on this yet? The buzz had been that he would be 100%, or he would be limited. This is the first real quote where Lue said he's out.Rockets actually have some history and recent success.
EDIT:
something something Blueprint something something dude on crack something something cocaine SOMETHING.
Something the Nets have neither of. Derrick Coleman is like a Top 5 Net of all time. Doesn't matter if its New York, no one takes the Nets seriously besides Forever
By diehard Go To PostCan you count Dr J?ABA? I'd say no.

Just a lot of bad teams being bad right now.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI don't understand the nets hypeLin and D'Lo are better than whatever the fuck Orlando and Atlanta are trying to do. Chicago got their culo up in the air and it ain't even October yet. Suns and Kings trash. Pacers literally unable to win games on purpose.
They are the worst roster going by a mile

Don't slander my Hawks like this. Recognize
By reilo Go To PostAs flawed as Schroder is, he's still better than D'Lo.its a wash considering defense, but d'lo gets buckets
plus d'tective won't have to play out of position anymore
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI don't understand the nets hypeNah, Bulls and Pacers are arguably worse. The only "hype" they have is that the might be only in the bottom five teams instead of the bottom two.

Lots of "next years loaded" statements are thrown around in august. Lots.
And IT2 needs to be paid.

The west also got A LOT harder.

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI don't understand the nets hypeIts not Nets hype. Its disdain for the rest of the east.

The nets have no reason to lose games (don't own their pick). So they're genuinely going to try to be competetive. ATL, CHI, ORL, IND ? They're going to be bad. And at some point, their FO is going to make the call to be REALLY bad.
Then you have the west where, SAC, PHX, LAL are going to get brutalised by a top 6 that will be insane. Then you have DAL and MEM where things could fall apart really quickly too.
The nets roster is bad. But a back court of Lin (PG), D'Lo(SG), Crabbe(SF) will win them enough games in the east.
their backcourt is fine. its like you said, their frontcourt is thin and it relies on a LOT of unproven whodafucks
as long their roster player #11s can goon in the paint, they'll be out of the bottom 3. wouldn't even be hard to escape it imo

By reilo Go To Postlol if that's the Nets backcourt starting unit they'll get murdered. That's a tiny fucking lineup.
Who's going to out score them. Oladipo? Schroeder?
They're not play offs good. No ones saying that. But look at the East.
