By joefu Go To PostWhich boss? I didn't really have trouble until end of chapter 4 stuff.
Make sure you are upgrading core chips and checking the affinity on your blades, as they don't actually level up unless you check it.
The game has so many systems it's crazy haha.
Malos and Akhos fight at the top of the stairs. I think i need to grind or something

What level are you? You should be able to beat it if you're the same level as them. Also sleep in the inn and use your bonus XP since you've been doing sidequests. Quests don't give you XP outright, you have to sleep at the inn to get it. Guess people complained doing all quests made you too overpowered so they have it where you have to allocate the XP yourself.
Alright you weebs I'm gonna try Xenoblade instead of buying Skyrim again, better be good enough to overshadow the animu crap...
By faridmon Go To PostBy any chance, has any of bought Nine Parchments yet? I am craving for Diablo-lite like experience and wanted to play this game Co-op with my sister. Any impressions? There's a demo, I played that and it was ok. Graphics are nice but the movement is kinda slow and regular enemies take a little more time to kill than I'd like (compared to Diablo). I wanna try it coop but nobody on the friends list has it so I haven't purchased it yet.
I'd check the demo out to see if I'd get it, but I'm too busy with Xenoblade. Also need to dig into the Zelda DLC...
Oh man Gungeon. Probably my favorite roguelike along with Crypt of the Necrodancer. Switch getting both is amazing. Just downloaded Gungeon wooo
Split joy cons are a little too small for my hands (compared to the wii) but it's still my favorite way to play most games. Splatoon 2 is sublime with split joy cons.

One of the best things about the Wii was that you could just lay back with your arms all wide like a lazy slob.

Otherwise I have to sit up to properly use gyro with the pro controller.

Otherwise I have to sit up to properly use gyro with the pro controller.Yeah gyro all the way, it works pretty well with the pro too but something about only having to move one wrist just elevates it. Splatoon actually made me give up dual analog aiming all together.
Guess I'll try it out next time I boot up Splatoon. And gyro is amazing. I played terribly in the Splatoon 2 demo using dual analog since I couldn't adjust to gyro. Then I started using it in the retail game and my game stepped up. Can't go back to non gyro and I hope every shooter on switch adds gyro controls now. It's basically the closest thing to using a mouse on consoles.

Using an analog stick with your thumb is an objectively shit way to aim a reticle that's why most console shooters use that heavy auto aim.
Tried gyro 3 or 4 times on Zelda
Don't like it at all. Makes it look like Link has arthritis.
Surely the closest thing to using a mouse on console is legit pointer controls like the Wii or PS Move? And they're a pile of shite too.

I don’t use gyro much in Zelda but it’s perfect in Splatoon 2. Love the implementation there. Way quicker to aim up and down versus analog sticks.
Gyro aiming is sensational and better than IR, because it uses relative positioning on a much broader scope than IR aiming. Don't even remember I'm using it anymore. Analog stick for large movements, gyro for precision tuning and aiming. Got 'em.
Would give a crap about split control gaming if Nintendo made some ergonomic handle "Pro" Joy-cons with offset controls for proper thumb pivoting, i.e., a Pro Controller split in half. Alas, I'll stick with the Pro Controller.

Yeah I would buy an ergonomic "split pro controller" in a second but I still prefer the normal split cons over the pro for games where you don't use the right stick constantly.
By Smokey Go To PostnoThumbing a little plastic nub to aim is objectively shit. Period. You have far better fine motor control and range of movement with your wrist, that's why artists don't draw with a pencil lead strapped to their thumb. Unless you have Parkinson's or are unwilling to take the time to get to get familiar with using gyro I don't see how you could think differently. And i totally get not wanting to take the time to learn a new input method but just say that. If I learned how to steer a car with my elbows I would tell people that that's how I know how to do it, not that using your hands sucks.
I don't understand the hate for gyro aiming. Takes a while to get used to, but I miss them whenever a game doesn't have them.
Yo. Xenoblade gets so anime, I love it. Currently on chapter 8, but yo the way chapter 7 ends... Wish more of y'all played this!
By joefu Go To PostYo. Xenoblade gets so anime, I love it. Currently on chapter 8, but yo the way chapter 7 ends… Wish more of y'all played this!i just got to chapter 7, i'd have been done with this game long ago but there's so much to do lol
the recent patch was great too btw. fixed a lot of the technical issues i'd been dealing with regarding crashes and the map improvements have been amazing as well
I've been lucky, the only bug I've run into is the playtime one, counted time when the game was in sleep mode. Says I'm at 102 hours, but really I'm only 70+ hours into the game lol.
And yeah, chapter 6 is where I spent most time so far doing sidequests and stuff. I think all the rare blades have sidequests. I don't even know how to start the ones I have yet to get any quests on lol.
It's so easy to lose track of time playing the game.
And I like how some quests just happen. Was walking though Torigoth and started a questline where I got a unique blade core. I don't even know how to start the second half of the quest lol

Yeah. That would scare the crap out of me too. I make it a habit to save like after anything happens haha.
Finally caved and bought a 128Gb SD card for the Switch. Next on this list, download Skyrim and Xenoblade.

I might need to cop a 256gb down the line :mjcry:
By YungMagus Go To PostI might need to cop a 256gb down the line :mjcry:I'm patiently waiting for 256gb to drop in price. Think it'll be inevitable that I'll need a micro sd.
I got a a 64GB micro SD for free and it has been great for me, and I think I have plenty of games, mostly digital. Includes 3rd parties such as FIFA. Shitload of room left.
I never needed to use it but don’t sleep on the archiving feature either. If you have a game you don’t play anymore, just archive it. Can get a lot of mileage out of your memory that way.
Still might get a larger micro SD in a year or 2. 128 or 256 will probably be dirt cheap by then.

I don't even think it takes time. The first time I used it was I think in Uncharted Golden Abyss and I was instantly like "why isn't every game like this???"
i have an absurd amount of time in x2 considering i've only had this thing for a few weeks

Lads my Switch is giving me error code 2107 0445. The console only works for about 30 secs before giving me the message. Before I contact Nintendo does anyone have any experience with this error?
