Really liking this new Trivium album, What the Dead Men Say. It probably helps that I follow the lead singer's Twitch account and have listened to him practicing several of the songs on it.
Listen, I got thrown down memory lane with a random tweet a couple of days ago, it's not my fault, and it's certainly not your fault either, but it is what it is s, and there might be consequences and repercussions, but Starship is what I must share with you.
I feel like buying an IROC Z-28 and driving down the highway with a cigarette pack rolled up in my sleeve and dark aviators on now, thanks Pac.
You're welcome. And when you go roller skating and freak out when they play Thriller, you're welcome for that shit, too. I'm here for whatever you need from the 80's. If I'm not around, ask DY. I don't know when he was born or came of age, but since he is bitter as fuck, he can probably relate to my childhood and anyone else's as long as it's not recent and therefore not aware of advances in thought.

By bud Go To Posti love those npr concerts. the audio is really good.yeah they're top notch.
Taylor Swift released her new album today. It's actually pretty good. Shes co-produced and co-wrote it with Aaron Dessner so it's an awful lot like a poppy version of The National.

This is probably one of the finest Jazz recordings ever made.
I owe my love for Chet Baker to that wonderful movie that is The Talented Mr. Ripley.
It made me search for more of Chet Baker's albums and I fell in love with Jazz immediately.
My Funny Valentine is most likely the best Jazz song ever written, the lyrics are perfect, I have dozens of recordings of Chet Baker playing it and they are almost all amazing.
There's something amazing about Jazz, you can have hundreds of artists playing the same song and they are all different but the feeling is the same.
Sometimes you don't even need the lyrics, the instruments do all the "singing".
Music is the universal language, you don't need to know to know what they are singing about to feel what they are feeling.
That's the odd thing about music back in the day, it seemed everybody would record every song... who was the original? Maybe who cares? Who did you like better?
For "My Funny Valentine," I have Ella Fitzgerald's version on a preferred playlist
Though, on that same preferred playlist, I have Chet Baker's "But not for me"

I'd forgotten how fucking great The Stone Roses were. Could be so chill one moment, then blast your face off with one of the best riffs ever. They've been overshadowed by Oasis when people talk about the best bands to come from Manchester. But for me The Stone Roses are by far the best.

Saw Ian Brown live about 8 or 9 years ago, easily one of the worst concerts I seen.
The man was absolutely shocking live, he was a terrible singer that day. Completely took out any interest I had in exploring The Stone Roses.
