By rodeoclownShooting coaches are the next big thing. I know a lot of people don't watch Hornets games (understandably), but I still get off saying have you seen MKG's jumper and game since last year? The same guy has Cody Zeller threatening 3pt range - and Zeller spent nearly his entire career under the basket prior to life in the NBABy VahagnBuried in the ESPN article about Rubio coming back tonight is Saunders saying that these 3 months off May be a blessing in disguise because Rubio has completely re-made his jump shot? I don't know if I believe it, but if so, dude's going to be a top 5 PG.Many months ago, the Wolves hired a full time shooting coach, the man that worked with Muhammad last summer. If he can bring you Shabazz, 40% 3 point shooter, I'm willing to believe he can remake Rubio's jumper. And by all accounts, Ricky's shot looks a lot better, a lot more arc on it, but we'll see in mere hours.
By reiloIf Meyers Leonard can turn into a prolific three point threat, then anyone can.

I'm shaking
Not only has MKG not taken a three this year, he's only taken 18 his entire career.
He's made three three point shots his entire nba career.

Our 3 point shooting makes me want to shoot myself. The only guys who should take threes consistently on this team are KD, Serge, and Morrow. I'd include Lamb but he never, ever plays anymore.
Look at some of these fucking numbers:
Reggie: 43/152 - 28.3%
Russ: 29/112 - 25.9%
Dion: 11/41 - 26.8%
Roberson 11/48 - 22.9% (and that's after hitting 6 of his last 8 attempted, so before that he was only 5/40 or 12.5%)
This is some unforgivable shit on Brooks' behalf.

The discipline doe
I mean to have so few fuck it threes is hard to do
Just playing ball myself and never being much of a shooter, the urge to at least fire off
One every couple of games has to enter your mind when you're out on the perimeter
By Dark PhaZeAs someone who's played college ball - I can verify that. My shot was broke as fuck from outside of 15 ft my whole life (imagine my jumper basically being a glorified floater). But coaches and players really gotta think outside of themselves in order to real that shit back in. If you can't shoot, cool, make up for it by making sure the ball doesn't stick to you in a spot where you're being dared to shoot. Move. Its usually that simple.By DY_nastyBy Dark PhaZeThese stats can't be seriousDon't take shots you got no business taking (or allow the defense to force you - which is where too many players fuck up regularly).

Also, is Wall even playing today? I'm waiting for the line to jump.
It's a tiny sample, but in 133 minutes the trio of Durant, Dion Waiters and Russell Westbrook has averaged just 97.8 points per 100 possessions. By contrast, the Durant-Reggie Jackson-Westbrook trio that is now out of favor has scored 105.2 per 100 this season

It's a salary dump for BKN. Taking Denver's deal would defeat the purpose unless that late first-rounder outweighs paying another huge tax bill next season.
The Nets need to take their medicine.
And trade Lopez to the Thunder for garbage.
By MambaHe needs a strong coach or KD/Russ to get him in line and make sure he only takes open jumpers from assists or drives to the rim. He almost had as many shots as KD and Russ against Memphis on Friday. Smart teams know he's inefficient so they'll gladly let him have the ball and jack up terrible shots. It's a tiny sample, but in 133 minutes the trio of Durant, Dion Waiters and Russell Westbrook has averaged just 97.8 points per 100 possessions. By thekadAnd trade Lopez to the Thunder for garbage.Perk's expiring, Lamb, and Jerrett/Jones are better than paying the tax (possibly the repeater) for JaVale McGee, Hickson and a mediocre pick.
It isn't about what the Nets are getting for Bropez, it's what getting rid of his salary saves them from having to pay.

He's actually a terrible open spot up shooter, by the numbers. So yeah, maybe it's just that he sucks right now.

MKG's old jumper was the thing of nightmares...like holy shit. Also did you read the SI article on him? It got dusty in my house all of a sudden.
But yeah shooting coaches are the next wave. Brett Brown has Jerami Grant shooting 40% from 3 and shit. Too bad about MCW tho

The Waiters trade seemed low-risk until I realized he's a fucking cancer.
Sam led the design and implementation of the Spurs scouting database, a system that is now being used by numerous teams throughout the NBA.
Sam Presti is a brilliant dude. Rhodes scholar PLUS 4 year basketball college career? But it's clear he's an ingenious scout and a bad GM. He seems like a guy that is great at spitting young talent and horrible at putting together a team/coaching staff.
