By Kidjr Go To PostIsn't that the same with every phone? My battery usually significantly diminishes after 6 months.Battery is 4300 mAh. Maybe I don't remember things right, but it's comfort I never had before.
My one plus 5t is far and away the best phone I've ever had. Battery life, performance, the whole thing. Don't see myself upgrading anytime soon unless I'm just forced to.

When I google SOT, I get

-sex on text
-society of toxicology
....
hey, I think I found it. Screen on time.
My previous phones were awful there, too. My 5t holds up like a champ.

It's better, but I barely use it too, so I can't speak with much depth.
The multitasking is better, but it's so awkward to get a second app up that I have no idea how they got it to this state
We in the future now boys...

A phone that only uses hardware and software that are open source. Apparently there is a major lack of those kinds of parts, so performance will be terrible, but I like the concept. It also has hard switches to turn off each communication component (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).
e: if you want a phone where you have a possibility of knowing exactly how private and secure everything is, this is probably your best (only?) bet

Looks like there is also something called a PinePhone, which hasn't started shipping, yet: https://www.pine64.org/pinephone/
Confused by the point of that phone. Security/privacy concerns don't come usually come from the local device but the services that you connect to. Sure, not running Android might be a bit more private but how is not using a Qualcomm SoC having any meaningful affect?
Surface Earbuds
Surface Headphones
Surface Pro
Surface RT
Surface Laptop
Surface Go
Surface Studio
Surface Book
Surface Hub
Surface Neo
Surface Mouse
This isn't even all of them, it's getting ridiculous. Apple has some dumb naming but at least its not the Mac Phone, Mac Laptop, Mac Pro, Mac Monitor, Mac Pad, and Mac Player.

They got good brand recognition with the "Surface" name so now they plaster on literally every hardware device they make.
The Surface Pro X? There is an argument to made for cheap Windows ARM devices for education etc.. but at $999? FOH.

I’m a madman and have decided to stop using a case on my iPhone XS because it feels way better using the phone without my Pela Case. I have AppleCare+, it’ll save me.
Everything about the Pixel 4 already leaked ahead of its announcement next week, so here's more Pixel leaks: Pixel 4a and a 5G Pixel 4 rumored to be announced in Spring.
So just wait a couple of months and you can get a better 5G model or a cheaper 4a (with the same camera).

By Kidjr Go To PostNot that I really care about 5G but dont get why that isnt day 1.Because it's essentially useless and expensive.
By Kidjr Go To PostNot that I really care about 5G but dont get why that isnt day 1.I don't think 5G modems are efficient enough just now, mostly from an energy standpoint
I think 5G modems aren't integrated into current SoC and so requires a separate modem just for it which can be more power hungry. Should be sorted with the next line of SoC
I want to get a new phone. I use a budget JStar right now. I don't really care about sensors/8,000 cameras, etc. I just want something fast. I only use it for music, browsing the web and work(which is basically just an app for looking up information)
Any recommendations?

Any of the newer Xiaomi Redmi Note phones will do. 7 or 8, Pro version if you want to spend a little more. My 4 is still going strong after 2+ years.

By Adam Go To PostPixel 4 XLOL 🚽I mean, it's a fine phone. 90hz display is nice and I'm sure the cameras are top tier, but it's overpriced and the storage options are pretty paltry for 2019.

Making me go back to Samsung now.
Ughhh
Also, the camera bump on the back is hideous. Will wait for the 4a.

Lack of headphone jack irritates.
Storage and memory size are unacceptable.
By Adam Go To PostLack of headphone jack irritates.I didn't know this didn't even include a headphone adapter until I read more up on it. Also, it doesn't include original photo backup, like the previous Pixel phones did.

You're right, Adam. Hard pass.
