My GM mode tho!
In this year, 2K added some new customization features. Here are some of them:
• League expansion (up to 36 teams);
• Dynamic Expansion (start at 30 teams and the league will expand dynamically);
• Full league customization (rebranding, relocation and realignment of all teams, rosters, players and divisions.);
• Pick protection in trades - now you can make deals to protect your draft lottery picks;
• Advanced rotations - with advanced rotations you can decide how many time does a player play in game and when do he plays that time. For example, you are able to put a player playing 5 minutes in the first quarter, 3 in the second, 8 in the third and 10 in the fourth, making a total of 26 minutes played;
• Dynamic rules change - every offseason the committee will meet to discuss the league rules. If you want, you can turn this option off;
• Dynamic uniforms update - new uniforms will be added to the game, and will be available in MyGM and MyLeague;
• Jersey retirements - if a player plays very well for a team in a long date, his jersey will be retired;
• Offseason trading - this year, you will be able to make offseason trades;
• MyLeague Online has been improved as well. It will now support up to 80 seasons with player progression, regression, injuries, custom draft classes, lottery and offseason drafts.
i like basketball but i never play a 2k game before. I have a PS3 what is my options to start. Newer if possible, not gonna go play from 2010 or 2011.

The game slightly changes control schemes every year so the learning curve will always be there with a newer version.
2k has blown off my L2, R2 buttons, the square button has been mushed into the controller, and the analog sticks are fucked. I think it's time to replace it.
I don't see the Ps4 Pro dualshock available to buy & 2k comes out next week. Should I just go for a dualshock or are there any third party controllers that I should consider?

Really want to get 2k17 on PC but there's no community to play and I don't want to have to drop $400 on a console for one game, would rather get a 1070/1080.
I didn't do much with the settings, mainly on high @1440p and I get mostly 60fps with 3570k OC to 4.2 & 970 G1. Hoping Horizon 3 is the same
By Rob Go To PostAnyone play Forza 6 Apex? Most of the time I get 80fps consistently, other times it's randomly dropping to 50s and it's just all over the place making the game basically unplayable. Wondering if the game just has performance issues or it's something on my end

Try living outside the US, it's even worse.
Have no interest in a console because Civ 6 is out soon and it will consume me. But the lure of MyTeam and cards is hard to resist.

some sort of function that was fundamentally broken?

Because 2k changed/broke things as they usually do, and started to focus more on MyPlayer/Park/ProAm
The amount of things they took away from online leagues that hasn't been brought back is criminal.

Is NBA2k still unnecessarily complicated?
I played 2k15 and couldn't even figure out how to properly dunk.
They should bring back NBA Street. I was a god in that.

With the 4k/HDR talk I got to looking at TVs again. I need OLED but I'm thinking ...Samsung Ks8000. 20.9 ms input lag in game mode and 22.6ms with HDR enables with game mode :o
i haven't experienced 4k but HDR seems like a much better improvement since everything looks like a zack Snyder movie without it
you'll probably regret that purchase with black friday so close

I don't expect to be able to play competitively in anything other than say sports games. Big screens just aren't about that life. But there are plenty of campaign games out there.

Especially since I added a Steam Link into the mix.

Yeah I've heard this from numerous people who work black Friday. At most it may be a few hundred off for a top tier set, but generally BF is for specific store models that Sony or Samsung trot out.
Speaking of...do best buy employees get extra commission off Sony or something. I specifically ask for the ks8000/9000 and dude takes me to the Sony equivalent . Starts talking about Sony created 4k this and that and that's why they have the 4k sign in their area, and Samsung doesn't. Man please.
I'm staying in bed with Panasonic. All this shit is still too new.
$1200 for the 55" KS8000 doesn't seems excessive though. I've got a TV guy too and his shop specializes in Samsung's. I could probably get that joint down near a G and hate myself for it later.

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postso how IS the input lag on the ks8000 though? noticable to you?Not really. It is slightly noticeable in some cases when playing a game over Steam Link, but not enough to make aiming in an FPS frustrating or annoying.
By GQman2121 Go To PostI'm staying in bed with Panasonic. All this shit is still too new.I really like mine. I made a "simple" calibration guide and also have links to some other TV review sites and such in the thread over here: http://slaent.com/thread/829960/

NBA2K17 will support the pro.
I cannot think of a single reason why I would even bother with a PS4P. Graphics are probably in the bottom 10 things I look for, so it's basically a 32X in my eyes.

When I went to Best Buy, the guys helping me were actually very helpful. They knew exactly what I meant when I said "input lag". They even knew off the top of their head some of the TVs that had low input lag. And for the ones they didn't, they knew a site to pull up and see what TVs they had in stock would be acceptable for me. Which they did, right there on the store floor.
They did their usual salesman thing of getting protection and such, but they were genuinely helpful and worked with me for 30-60 minutes trying to figure out which TV would fit my needs best while still being in my price range. I was kind of impressed.

50ms input lag is ~3 frames at 60fps. It's not great, but it's not terrible. That review is good, though. Make sure it is capable of doing what you need it to.
Now one thing I thought at the best buy and maybe I was wrong was the KS seemed a lot better at showing off the HDR. Is that true?

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostNow one thing I thought at the best buy and maybe I was wrong was the KS seemed a lot better at showing off the HDR. Is that true?There is a tradeoff between OLED and LED when it comes to something like that. OLED has blacks that LED can't touch, but LED is better at producing brighter whites. Some aspects of HDR will look better on an LED than it will on an OLED and vice versa. General image quality gives the nod to OLED, though.
With regards to those two specific sets, I can't say for sure. I looked a bit at the rtings reviews for both of them:
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/eg9600#comparison_195
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks8000#comparison_195
The LG has better blacks and better edge lighting (less 'bloom' around edges of bright pixels), but the Samsung can output a brighter image which is important for HDR. It's a mixed bag, imo.
I probably value different things than you, but I would prefer the KS8000 for gaming with HDR unless 3D is important to you, then go with the EG9600. The Samsung set doesn't support 3D at all.
e: I think you could be happy with either but if you aren't going to play any games that demand very precise timing for inputs, then the LG might be better for you?
