He could increase his lift if he subbed that music with a bit of Meshuggah.
Got dragged into a cycle this morning on 2 hours sleep. 40 fucking miles. Legs feeling hospital af.

Found a nature trail about 35 mins from me that has about 13 different body weight workout stations. Pretty cool you can workout and then go for a run since it's pretty hilly.
There's also one of these in my city now

Everyone thought cbum was retiring to be a dad and a normal health guy
Turns out he's going to open to blast even more gear lmao

He says itβs just one open meet for fun but he did leave the door open in his YouTube video πππ
God damn, my gym doesn't have enough fucking fans. Hopefully the cooler temperatures help as we head toward winter, but it's legit impacting my breathing on squat days to the point where I'm thinking of bringing in my own fan.

I do 20 pushups, 10 pullups, 20 dips then rest a min, do that for about 30 mins. Banging out workouts in the woods is my new favorite pastime
so these 2 are probably somewhere in the top 5 in the world in my weight class. Joe either 1 or 2. Delaney probably 3-5. and it's simply unfathomable to me how they just play w/ 700+ on deadlift.
meanwhile i'm hoping for a Round 2 w/ a 600lb deadlift before the end of the year.

They've got this kit just outside Warwick university, on one of the bridleways, that i occasionally stop and do sets on in the middle of my shorter bike rides. Good stuff, just a shame the weather here is shit 8 months out of 12.
oh god i started bench pressing and i never understood wanting to get stronger but damn is it addicting.

Time for more of a yoga season for me though my body needs some rest from all the running and build it up a bit again π
One thing I won't understand is the women who pay for the gym and then goes on one of the warm up mats and just do the exercises that they follow on a video on their phone to the tee for 30 mins or an hour. What are you paying for then, the mat?
there's one woman at my gym that is there everyday and goes on the crosstrainer for an hour and just texts people while barely moving and then goes home. she does like 4-5 steps a minute. a 10 minute walk would be way more excersise and free.
and i go to a bougie gym lol
and i go to a bougie gym lol
By DiPro Go To Postmaybe paying motivates them to go there and actually do it.This is why Iβm paying to go on the treadmill at the gym instead of using the elliptical at home.

Vibes. Literally.
Getting out and actually doing something surrounded by other people is good for mental health even if you could technically have done the workout at home.
yah. i signed up for that reason too. planned to do only running on the treadmill. buying one would've been cheaper but i would've used it for 2 weeks then hang clothes on it like everyone else. actually signing up makes me pack a bag in the morning and go there after work.

The only cold day we've had here in months cleared the fitness park out, I loved it since it was empty and I was the only person there.

Its more that it rains nearly all the time here lol.
@batong I think I've asked about some routines for strengthening joints before, but I could use something to help me strengthen my knee and help my range of motionas this quadriceps tendinitis gets better. Can't wait 2.5 months fir the physio appointment lol
Managed to play football this week, but I've lost some range of motion, which I really felt trying to do a quick turn to catch a winger lol.
Still fukkin rapid though π€βοΈ
Hard to know if it's inflammation or just a bit too much load, fascismo, sometimes just an ice pack can help those causes, otherwise maybe simple stretches a la this might help https://www.daniwinksflexibility.com/bendy-blog/5-beginner-friendly-quad-stretches and for those knees strengthening without too much pressure leg curls or more light squats and light lunges will help.
Also if could be a symptom of you putting too much pressure on those joints as you got weaker glutes and hips too.

Sorry mate, late to thank you for this.
Somewhat related, submitted a self-referral for Physiotherapy last week. Rang up yesterday to actually book a slot, expecting 4+ month wait. Actually got a session booked for this morning as I rang at the right time and there was just a cancellation.
Still NHS so there's still a roll of the dice if I get anyone who gives enough of a shit to give me a proper look, instead of a bunch of stretches that I already do.
Great session. Thorough af. Diagnosed quad/patellar tendonitis from overly tight quads and haramstring, knocking on to a loss of strength around my knee. Ez fix with stretching and light weight + volume on leg days.

i thought sweating my ass off on the elliptical everyday would improve my running at least a little bit but hell no lol.

I had months of trying to jog and it never improved

During covid lockdown, I was putting 200+ miles on the bike every week. Was excited to get back to football, thinking that fitness would transfer.
First game after lockdown came, gassed 5 mins in π Spent half the game in goal.
By Patriotism Go To PostYup :DA thing commonly said in basketball about players returning from injury is that you can't get in basketball shape without actually playing basketball. All the cardio and running certainly helps, but nothing gets you ready like actually playing the game does.

i went from struggling to bench 286 in meet prep 2 months ago to casually benching 286x5 w/ 3 more in the tank today
strength fluctuations suck
every day that 314 i hit in comp pisses me off more and more. i'd gotten up to 330 over the summer and then bench just tanked after that.
